This is such a genius pop song and SO weird/funny for being a top 40 hit...I still have this in my regular rotation and it still BUMPS

3. "What Else Would You have Me Be" by Lucero.

Pretty much the story of my life...being a drunk fuckup who is hopelessly romantic and in love with all the dark, sad parts of life while still raising a fist in the air and singing my way through it all, Lucero is the best drinkin music of all time.

4. "Back to the Start" by The Stranger's Six.

This was my own band (I was the singer) back in the day, and this is the first single off our album " A Date With Daylight" ...first time I ever heard my voice on the radio or saw me on MTV was for this song, it will always be special to me even though I wrote it 12 years ago

5. "Bring it On" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

I listen to more Nick Cave than probably anything in life.....I have a hundred Nick Cave songs I could put on here, but this is one of my favorites, a real romantic "fighting" song, it has such a great buildup and epic ending, makes me want to conquer the world, but with a tear in my eye
