Season Two Of “Jessica Jones” Will Also Be Nudity Free

Still Lots Of Sex, Just No Nudity

We can all agree that Jessica Jones is a pretty awesome show. Krysten Ritter is fantastic, the writing is excellent, the action is awesome, and the sex scenes… well, while good they are lacking in one department, nudity. If you had hoped that season two would change that, I'm sorry to say Jessica Jones will still be nudity free.  

Even though Daredevil gave us a hint of nudity and the two shows exist in the same universe, Jessica Jones is not planning on showing any skin anytime soon.  

The show, according to Collider, has “the most intense aggressive sex scenes on television.” But this is done though without actual nudity. There will be some sex to a degree, as said by executive producer and creator Melissa Rosenberg, but there will be no nudity involved. Rosenberg praised Krysten Ritter’s (playing Jessica Jones) acting that she can sell the scenes by creating emotions. This probably is key when one needs to film a believable sex scene without really resorting to nudity.  

While I understand the Marvel Universe attracts a wider audience, if you are going for darker, gritter, and more realistic, then nudity doesn’t seem out of the question. There are no magical L-shaped sheets that cover a woman completely and a man below the waist after lovemaking.  

Though, if we are being honest here, I’m still going to watch the new season of Jessica Jones when it comes out. I mean, Krysten Ritter kicking ass, who wants to miss that?
