“Harlots” Looks Like It Has a Lot to Offer

Boobs in the Opening Credits

Whenever a new show comes on the air, we all have a certain number of episodes we'll give it before we decide it's worth our time. Some people go the whole season, other people only give a new shows a couple of episodes to get them hooked (I typically give a show 3 episodes), but there are times when a show gets your right off the bat and you know it's going to be a good one. The new Hulu series Harlots (2017) had me hooked by the opening credits, thanks to a topless Holli Dempsey.

Of course with a title like Harlots we all knew the possibility of nudity was there, but didn't know if was going to be one of those shows where they "have sex" and yet somehow never show anyone doing anything and/or naked. Thankfully, that didn't turn out to be the case. Holli Dempsey started the show off right and it got better from there. Oh, if you haven't heard of this show, here's the synopsis from Hulu:

Margaret Wells struggles to reconcile her roles as brothel owner and mother to daughters Charlotte and Lucy. When her business comes under attack from Lydia Quigley, a rival madam with a ruthless streak, Margaret must fight back even if it means losing her family and possibly her life.

If you are still on the fence about whether or not a streaming service is worth it, I think now would be a good time to go ahead and sign up. Harlots appears to be a show you really don't want to miss.
