Rocky Vallarta: Mastering the Art of Performer and Manager
There are many great performers, but not everyone is a master of the business part of the show business. It's pretty much an open secret that not every adult performer does every bit of their own social media and content management themselves. Honestly, how could they? Most of them are too busy with what they're doing in front of the cameras! It takes a community of skilled people who are helpful and supportive of each other. One such person is performer and content manager Rocky Vallarta. When he's not being a successful model and creator in his own right, Rocky is megabusy editing and managing the content of some of the business's biggest stars. In this revealing interview, we have Rocky's special story, and we have the scoop on how he manages to help some of the industry's biggest stars be the industry's biggest stars (and yes, we have names!).

How did you create your stage name?
A long, long time ago, I saw an episode of Will & Grace where Karen Walker asks someone how they chose their drag name, and they said to combine the name of your first pet with the name of the first street you lived on. My first dog was an almost completely white boxer with two brown patches over his eyes and ears. We named him Rocky, and I remember living on Ave Vallarta before moving a lot due to my dad’s job. I found it a bit too butch for a drag name, but I kept it in storage as a private joke. I didn’t use it officially until they asked me to come up with a name when I did my first porn scene in the summer of 2018.
Could you tell us about your background?
That could mean so many things. I’ll try to be thorough, while keeping it concise:
Cultural background. It goes without saying, but I’m a well-bred guy. I downplay it a lot, but I come from what you would call a well-to-do family. Raised Roman Catholic, industrial engineer dad, and stay-at-home mom. I had a great upbringing in every sense. I cannot complain about it, but I reckon it was very old school, extremely conservative, strict, rigid, and sexist. I wouldn’t have it any other way, though.
Educational background. Catholic school boy, not a straight-A student but top of the class all along. I had the privilege of being exposed to lots of art, cinema, literature, and photography, and almost way too much music back when the internet didn’t exist, so I’m glad I had access to so much information when it wasn’t as easily available as it is today. In college, I majored in Humanities and Social Sciences, and I really got into psychology, philosophy, ethnography, and anthropology in general, but I hated school since kindergarten and still do. I don’t have issues with authority figures, but I clash with people who mistake hierarchy for taxonomy, so I was a pain in the ass for most teachers.
Ethnic background (my least favorite interpretation of the background question). Just like almost every person on this continent, I’m mixed race. Italian, German, and American Indigenous, mainly, sprinkled with a few other flavors of European. Racial identity is not really my thing; it was not a big deal in my environment growing up. It wasn’t abnormal to see “interracial” couples, and know siblings with completely different skin, hair, and eye colors; you could tell they were related, but it’s worth mentioning that divorce and half-siblings were beyond frowned upon, so don’t let your mind wander there. I don’t get why people act like there’s any merit in being born somewhere or somehow when it wasn’t even your own choice. I personally refuse to carry the weight of ancestry, but for those who like to project their own shit on me: I am not embarrassed about anything; if anything, I should be proud, but I don’t see why I should take credit for things I had no influence over.
I’m not unaware of racism, segregation, colorism, discrimination, or socioeconomic differences. In fact, I was witness to a lot of that, and, no matter what they teach people at school, discrimination is a two-way street; everyone’s a little bit racist, jingoistic, xenophobic, sexist, chauvinistic, and tribalistic, but we should always treat people as our equals. Race is such an archaic term, and according to me, it shouldn’t be a topic of conversation. People build their identity around it, but they have a lot of misplaced pride and misconceptions regarding ethnicity and birthplace, and a lack of knowledge of genetics and history. We should all get over obsessing about the way we look and focus more on the way we think.

How did you first start creating content?
The accurate response would be submitting homoerotic fantasy stories to a few forums, mostly about my swimming coach at the time. In general, in life, I’m actually shy and reserved, and I keep most of my thoughts to myself. I’m also a bit of a hippie. I used to avoid wireless phones, cell phones, and smartphones until I had no choice around 2015.
I studied to become a baker in France back when I was 18 and wanted to open my own shop. Then I found out financial institutions had some incredibly odd terms and conditions when you want to borrow to open a business, so I switched to car sales to try and save money while I figured out how to get out of Narnia. I won’t bore you with the details of how my very first boyfriend was arrested by the FBI before I ended up doing data management for a radiography equipment factory. After coming out of the closet (with the expected bad result I avoided longer than I should), I opted for self-exile and moved to Montreal to pursue my main passions: clothes making, unapologetic lewd sex with open-minded hot men, and acting.
Just like Paris Hilton, I wanted to be a serious actor, but then I participated in a video that I assumed nobody would watch…
Because I was completely clueless about porn, fan pages were made fun of a lot at the start, but in March 2019, I was asked to participate in the movie “L’Acrobate” by Rodrigue Jean. The director wanted real sex shots in the movie, which was and still is considered too bold for movie theatres, so they required body doubles. I played with Micha’s body.
On set, I met my mentor and dear friend, Manuel Skye. The breaks between takes were long, we were horny, left to our own devices, so he suggested filming our shenanigans after explaining how fan pages work as opposed to studio work, and it sounded like a cool way to supplement my income as a tailor at a local department store until people’s moral conundrums started shifting a lot of things in my life.
How did you begin taking on content management for your fellow performers?
Long story short: The conniving cunts in Human Resources at the department store I just mentioned thought I had the patience for their administrative schemes, so instead of being laid off under false claims, I quit when they tried lying to me. I was tired of the corporate mindset, and while unemployed, I asked the owner of the production company that films most of the porn here (and everywhere) if, by any chance, he had work I was suitable for. A few months later, he asked me to meet him at the office to have a chat with a performer who was getting overwhelmed with the work fan pages required, and wanted someone who could emulate his syntax. Turns out that was Manuel Skye, and since we knew each other already and have similar interests, it worked out great.
That was around 2019. Then the Corona fest happened, and everyone’s aunt, uncle, and their cousin’s best friend opened up a fan page and needed help, so things developed. It’s no secret that big names don’t handle their own pages, but whenever I handled anybody’s social media, I made sure nobody knew or noticed they weren’t talking to the real one. I’m not bad at ghost writing, so sometimes even my clients weren’t sure if they wrote certain captions because I sounded exactly like them. I won’t get too specific cuz she’s very famous, but I handled an actress’ profile for almost 3 years, and her subscribers wouldn’t stop mentioning how glad they were they were talking to her instead of a management service.
I should market myself better, but I’m a bit of a troll on my personal pages. I don’t oversell it, and I hate being trite, so the idea of me working behind the curtains never crosses people’s minds.
How do you compare the studio world to the OnlyFans world? Any preference?
It would depend on the studio, no shade though. I like the fact that even though porn is frowned upon, Studio work does have a lot more caché, longevity, and quality than fan page content.
I went along with OnlyFans’ branding as a platform for patrons to sponsor artists and have direct interactions, and I post a lot of weird and/or personal stuff. I like going against the grain, and sometimes I do the opposite of what I’m expected to do just to troll.
I do prefer producing, styling, shooting, and editing my own content because I obsess over aesthetics and sound. I love raw sex and all, but I feel there’s a lack of visually striking and aesthetically pleasing content in the adult entertainment field, and I like to provide it. Even if it’s just to please myself.
I took a year off studio work and content filming to focus on re-editing my content in a format that makes me happy with seamless sound and well-curated imagery. I released a set of long-form zapping style videos that would be great for gooners, bators, players that party, as background for any party or sex club, and some even as a screen saver. I wish more people had noticed those details, but it didn’t get the traction I expected.
Because all the fans ask, what is your favorite scene and why?
I don’t like playing favorites because it takes away from the rest. Plus, not gonna lie, I barely remember half the scenes I was on but I’m particularly proud of my work for Men At Play and of my very first Falcon scene “Into The Woods” mainly because those were my favorite choices when I discovered gay porn and I never thought I could be on them, the guys were so hot and fit and I just didn’t picture myself there. Then it all happened by chance. I always had the best of times working with Bo Sinn, and that Hardcore Cuckold scene we did with Andrew Green has a special place in my heart cuz I provided some kick ass acting. I may not sing or dance, but I have a decent range when it comes to acting, and I can cry on cue. (Movie directors, please take notice.
What do you still want to achieve in the porn world? Scenes?
I didn’t intend to be in porn; it just sort of happened, and it clicked. It allowed me to become more financially independent, and I’m grateful, but I hate the stigma that comes along with being in it.
Even though pretty much every male consumes porn, it doesn’t get the credit it deserves, and it’s judged harshly out of ignorance. I don’t really have any future goals set in the field. I believe I’ve provided a few memorable classics, but if I do more studio work, I’d like it to be visually striking and less cookie-cutter. I get bored easily, so it doesn’t thrill me to do a lot of the same.
Something I care about achieving in the porn world is aesthetic evangelization. I practice what I preach, and I try to make my content as visually pleasant as possible. I am getting people to understand that porn isn’t and shouldn’t be free. It shouldn’t be so easily accessible to minors, and piracy makes producing content a money pit while viewers go around thinking I get paid for every ad they watch on stolen videos that sites refuse to remove because they’re only “hosting platforms” (shout out to the wankers at Boyfriendtv and Xhamster)
I don’t have the means to do it, but just for the laugh, I would like to make biblical satire porn. Something like Joe the Cuck, with a slutty Mary getting pounded by archangel Gabriel in front of Joseph. A lush foot worship starring Mary Magdalene or Lot’s Guests Gang Bang. I have wilder ideas with religious social commentary, 100% accurate and shocking and funny AF if you have my kind or dark humor, but I’ll save those for private conversations.

Scene partners? Sexual activities?
I have a bit of a crush on Matthew Camp. I met him once, but I doubt we’ll cross paths again. I’d love to meet Jake Manson; he seems like a cool lad. I hate traveling, though, so I’m not helping things happen. I would have liked to be on Bel Ami just to say I did, but if it hasn’t happened yet, I don’t think it will. I’m kind of jealous of the variety of genres you can find in straight porn; gay porn doesn’t get that wild. If there were a gay version of HorrorPorn, I would love to be in a hellish bacchanal.
Tell us a little bit more about yourself outside of porn. Interests? Hobbies? Beliefs? Passions?
I enjoy making art and making people laugh. I like nice clothes and good food. I love working out, keeping my body and mind sharp. I practise and promote facial exercise.
People are so unaware of their true potential and prefer taking shortcuts. I judge that harshly; people rarely bother learning how their body works, outsource their thinking, and are startled by diplomas a bit too much.
I know I seem to speak from a place of privilege, but I consider myself an uneventful average guy; my good looks are the unintended result of consistent good habits and choices rather than lucky genes, vanity, or self-hate, yet people are often dicks about it. I believe health is beauty, but also that proper health comes from an overwhelming amount of factors instead of a short list of things. We could all be healthier and wealthier if we put in the effort and have discipline.
I love art, architecture, fashion, photography, advertising, cinema, engineering, design, literature, etymology, history, anthropology, psychology, biology, human anatomy, neuroscience, natural medicine, true crime, conspiracies, and culture in general. I hate small talk and prefer heavy topics. I’m extremely open-minded; there are plenty of things I would never do, but there’s no thought I wouldn’t have. I will entertain any idea as a mental exercise and explore all perspectives. I may know a thing or two about a thing or two, but it doesn’t give me a sense of superiority, and the more I know, the more I realize how little I know, so I love talking to anyone about anything. You never know what you could learn.
I also love words; they’re awesome, useful, fun to play with, and there are so many ways of saying things. To be honest, a big chunk of my time is spent checking grammar and syntax and reading the meanings and origins of expressions, new definitions, synonyms, antonyms, and etymology.
Who is the real Rocky?
I’d like to say “a good person” or “a fine gentleman,” but any attempt to define a person sets limits to their development. At most, I would say I’m a decent human and a piece of work in constant progress.
How do you define a true "Porn Star"?
I wouldn’t, that’s probably up to the viewers and measured by the splash of the cum they made flow or by the impression their work left in people’s minds. I like to call myself an erotic thespian. I've met a few stars, but I don't see myself as one. Technically speaking, the life of a star is shorter the brighter it shines, so I don't mind being a slow burn. Please like, share, comment, and subscribe to my pages, though. It’s cool to make money off my work.
What is your favorite thing about sex?
I get off on introducing others to new sensations and making people feel what they previously thought was inconceivable pleasure.
