TikTok star McKinzie Valdez has drawn widespread attention after announcing that she is stepping away from OnlyFans following what she describes as a spiritual transformation.
The 21-year-old influencer, who built a large TikTok audience, shared the decision in a YouTube video she recently posted. In the video, she explained that she recently embraced Christianity and no longer wants to continue producing the type of content that previously defined much of her online career.
Her announcement quickly circulated across social media, prompting both praise from supporters and skepticism from some viewers who questioned the sudden shift.
Valdez began posting online content in 2019 while still a teenager. Using the TikTok username @kinzizboo, she gained popularity through dance clips, lip sync videos, and short lifestyle posts that resonated with younger audiences.
Within a relatively short period, her following expanded rapidly. Valdez said she had more than 1 million followers on TikTok and over 300,000 on Instagram before turning 17.
“I was obsessed with becoming famous,” Valdez said in the video. “I had over a million followers on TikTok and more than 300,000 on Instagram before I even turned 17.”
Her popularity later expanded to other platforms, where creators can charge subscribers for exclusive content. McKinzie Valdez launched an OnlyFans account when she turned 18.
According to her, the account quickly became highly profitable. She said her earnings eventually reached six figures per month, a financial success that made it difficult to leave the platform despite growing personal doubts.
In the YouTube video, she reflected on the pressure that accompanied her early fame, saying much of the attention she received focused on her appearance rather than her creative work.
“Most of the attention I was getting was based on my body and how I looked,” she said.
Looking back, McKinzie Valdez described the environment around her content as troubling. She said many of the people who followed her online were adult men and claimed the pattern reflected broader trends affecting young creators online.
“I was very impressionable, and I liked the feeling of being famous,” she said.
During that period, she moved away from her home state of North Carolina and lived alone in Florida. She described the lifestyle that followed as one centered around parties, alcohol, and heavy social media use. Over time, she said those habits contributed to feelings of anxiety, loneliness, and dissatisfaction.
She said the shift in her life began about a year before her public announcement, when she started exploring religion and reading the Bible after meeting someone who introduced her to Christian faith.

The experience culminated during a church service in December 2025, which she described as emotionally overwhelming.
“When I walked into church, I felt overwhelmed,” Valdez said. “It felt like a supernatural experience. I felt free from everything I was attached to.”
She said that moment led her to quit creating adult subscription content and begin restructuring her life.
According to Valdez, she deleted a large portion of her Instagram posts shortly afterward and discarded many clothes she associated with her previous online persona.
“It felt like I was shedding old skin,” she said.
She has not completely withdrawn from social media. Instead, she said she plans to continue posting online, though she is still determining what her future content will look like.
Her new TikTok page (@kinzievaldez3) has already amassed 481k followers, while her new Instagram page (@kinziieval) has been met with much less success and has only gained 1,784 followers. This is a unique approach to starting over; most girls simply convert their current page to the new type of content instead of a complete start over from scratch.

“At the moment, I don’t know exactly what my content will be,” she said. “But I’m excited for this new journey.”
The announcement has generated mixed reactions. Some followers praised the decision and expressed support for her personal transformation. Others questioned the abrupt change and noted that similar declarations have occasionally been made by creators leaving adult platforms.
In fact, on X, some of the reactions to her announcement have been nothing short of brutal.
One of TikTok’s once-rapidly rising personalities has chosen to dramatically redefine the course of her online career, and I think that deserves to be celebrated. Doing adult content is about choice, and if she doesn't want to do it anymore, I'm happy she found another path to venture down. I'm happy for her, and I hope you join me in celebrating her new venture.
