OnlyFans model Maria Julissa Influencer Denies Role in El Mencho Raid in Mexico

News has exploded about the drug cartel leader being taken out, and there is a rumor that his whereabouts were leaked by OnlyFans model Maria Julissa. But she strongly denies it.

The death of Nemesio Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, widely known as El Mencho, has triggered not only violence across western Mexico but also a wave of online speculation.

Oseguera Cervantes, the longtime leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel, was killed on February 22, 2026, during a military operation in Tapalpa, Jalisco. Mexican officials said he had been tracked to a remote mountainside resort where he was hiding with armed associates.

According to Defense Secretary Ricardo Trevilla, intelligence agents monitored the movements of a man linked to Oseguera’s romantic partner in the days leading up to the raid. Authorities said the woman was brought to the compound before the operation, but later left the property. When special forces entered the resort, a gunfight broke out. Four cartel members were killed at the scene. Three others, including Oseguera, were critically wounded and later died in the hospital.

In the days that followed, 25 National Guard members were reported killed in retaliatory violence, while Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch said 30 cartel members died in attacks on authorities across multiple states.

Almost immediately after the operation, posts circulating on X, Instagram, and Facebook claimed that Oseguera’s alleged girlfriend had tipped off authorities. A name quickly began trending worldwide: María Julissa.

Online accounts described her as a Mexican influencer and OnlyFans model who had supposedly leaked the cartel leader’s location. Viral posts shared what was described as the final photograph of El Mencho, showing him standing beside a woman in what appeared to be a nightclub setting. Other images depicted a woman wearing clothing associated with the cartel.

No Mexican or United States authority has publicly identified the alleged informant. Officials have referred only to an unnamed romantic partner whose movements were tracked as part of the intelligence operation.

María Julissa is a Sonoran-born (Northwest Mexico) influencer with an active Instagram account under the handle @mariajulissa13 and a popular OnlyFans page.

Prior to this week, her online persona centered on brand promotions, travel updates, and nightlife appearances. There had been no public link between her and organized crime.

"I want to take a moment to clarify a situation that I feel is important to address in a direct and transparent manner.

In the last few days, I have seen information being spread on social media that involves me with what is currently happening in Mexico. I want to make it absolutely clear: I have nothing to do with that situation.

Within hours, thousands of reposts amplified the claim. Threads analyzing facial features and clothing details followed. Additional images and short clips were circulated, some of which users claimed were evidence of a connection to the cartel leader.

María Julissa responded through Instagram Stories, categorically denying any involvement.

“Everything is totally false,” she wrote, urging followers to report Facebook pages spreading what she described as fabricated information. In a separate message, she asked supporters to help remove accounts sharing the allegations.

She also suggested that certain images and audio clips circulating online may have been digitally manipulated or created using artificial intelligence tools to falsely associate her with Oseguera.

Mexican media outlets later reported that she described the viral content as edited and misleading. As of February 24, no official confirmation has tied her identity to the Tapalpa operation.

This story is yet another example of how rumors and unverified claims can escalate during high-profile events. Some users treated the allegations as entertainment, posting biblical references and jokes about betrayal. Others warned that linking a civilian influencer to a cartel figure could expose her to serious danger.

“You are not helping her safety, whether true or not,” one user wrote in response to a widely shared post. Another warned that spreading such claims could put someone’s life at risk.

Officials have stressed that operations will continue to dismantle remaining networks of the CJNG. No comment has been issued regarding the identity of any romantic partner connected to the intelligence trail.

Until authorities provide further clarification, the claims linking María Julissa to the raid remain unverified.

And she has stated multiple times that she has had no association with the now fallen drug cartel leader El Mencho.
