From Porn Queen to Property Tycoon? Riley Reid’s Wild Riches Leave Selling The OC Cast Speechless

AROUND THE WEB

Riley Reid is probably one of the most recognizable porn stars in the world. But most people don't realize just how insanely wealthy she is.

When Riley Reid appeared in season 4 of Netflix's Selling The OC, the moment landed squarely between a lighthearted cameo and an unexpected cultural crossover.

Touring a nine-million-dollar oceanfront home with agent Kaylee Ricciardi and husband Pasha Petkuns, Riley Reid’s presence added humor to the episode’s tension and placed one of adult entertainment’s most recognizable figures inside a glossy Orange County real estate tableau.

Yet while cast members joked about her fame and Gio Helou raised questions about how conservative the community might be, one fact was hard to ignore.

Riley Reid wasn’t window-shopping. By the time Netflix viewers saw her tour properties with a reported six-million-dollar budget, she had already built an estimated net worth between $12 million and $15 million.

Her appearance prompted a predictable question. How exactly did Riley Reid make her money, and how did a performer who started filming content in 2010 grow into one of the highest-earning figures in her industry?

Born in Miami Beach on July 9, 1991, Riley Reid briefly studied psychology at Florida State University before deciding to pursue adult work full-time.

By her early twenties, she was rising through the industry at a pace that would eventually make her one of its most decorated performers.

Over a fifteen-year career, she has appeared in more than one thousand films, won over fifty industry awards, and, in 2021, was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame. That record alone placed her in rare territory long before she entered mainstream reality television.

Riley Reid’s shift to subscription-driven content changed everything. On OnlyFans, she became one of the platform’s highest-earning creators, reportedly bringing in around 25 thousand dollars per day.

That pace translates to roughly $750,000 per month, or more than $9 million per year. For a performer seeking both financial control and creative autonomy, the platform provided both. As Ricciardi put it on the show, Reid “has a bunch of companies,” and OnlyFans sits at the center of that ecosystem.

Riley Reid also embraced emerging adult tech. In 2023, she launched Clona, an AI model designed to mimic her personality. It positioned her as an early adopter in a field where virtual content is becoming increasingly profitable.

Alongside that initiative, she continues to sell custom videos on her personal website for about $35 each, a business estimated to generate roughly two million dollars per year. That's just for custom videos alone!

Unlike traditional movie stars, porn stars don't make royalties from older films that they star in from major studios, despite the rumored $800,000 a year some websites claim she makes on "royalties".

Yes, her movies do have widespread distribution across third-party platforms, but the money those make belongs to the studios themselves, not the star.

But with more than 1.7 billion views on her Pornhub channel, she is likely to make quite a bit of money on there, but far less than some people realize. If you do the math, it works out to be around $5o to $500 per video that she posts. Nothing near the $800,000 a year celebrity net work sites claim she makes on 3rd party platforms (that are not OnlyFans).

But still, at a rate of $25,000 a day on OnlyFans alone, and another $2 million a year for custom videos through her website, nobody can deny that Riley Reid is making bank.

And let's not forget that Riley Reid also runs her own OnlyFans management agency, called Ash Agency, where she earns a percentage of each model's account that she manages. And if that wasn't enough, she also earns money from her Fleshlight, which is rumored to generate around $10,000 to $15,000 per month.

Despite the financial success, Reid has been candid about the personal costs of her career. On the What They Don’t Tell You podcast, she described how dating became increasingly difficult as her fame grew.

“Dating was really hard,” she said. “They met me first in their mind as Riley, so it was really hard to reverse and teach them that I’m Ashley.”

That changed when she met Petkuns in 2020. They married in 2021 and welcomed a daughter the following year. Around the same time, she made the decision to stop performing with men, noting that she wanted a relationship anchored in stability and emotional connection.

In the series’ fourth season, released in November 2025, Reid’s brief appearance sparked a flurry of online conversation. Ricciardi referred to her as “the Ariana Grande of porn,” a comparison that underscored the scale of her following.

Reid took the teasing and double entendres in stride, but the most memorable moment came when she stepped outside the property and was immediately surrounded by a crowd of fans who had gathered within minutes.

“That crowd of people was completely organic,” Ricciardi later said. “It was crazy.”

Riley Reid’s estimated net worth of roughly $15 million is the product of layered income streams: traditional film work, subscription content, direct-to-consumer sales, personal branding, and now, AI entrepreneurship.

Viewed in that context, her Selling The OC cameo becomes less a novelty and more a snapshot of how adult performers have reshaped their business models over the past decade.

When she started in the business, there were few ways for an adult film star to make money outside of the traditional model of starring in films per studio, getting paid for the work for that single day.

But now with the advent of platforms like OnlyFans, that have changed in a big way.

Reid’s earnings are extreme even by industry standards, but her trajectory reflects a broader shift in digital content creation. She monetized her image early, diversified quickly, and built a career that continues to scale long after her on-set work has slowed.

Whether she buys a home in Orange County remains to be seen, but financially, as Netflix viewers observed this season, she is already firmly established.
