The suspect, who had previously gained attention as Penthouse Pet of the Month in July 2023 under the name Mia Ventura, is now the subject of an active investigation by both the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are asking potential victims to come forward as they investigate a woman accused of posing as a romantic companion to elderly men before burglarizing their homes across Los Angeles County.
Officials identified the suspect as Adva Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, Shoshana, or Shana. Yes, that's July 2023 Penthouse Pet Mia Ventura. She was on the cover of the July/August (2023) issue of the magazine known as "The Movers & Shakers Issue."
“Mia came to the table with endless energy and ideas when we met her for the first time,” commented Penthouse photo editor and director of Pet projects, Sam Phillips. “Outgoing, opinionated, and charismatic, Mia brought her A-game to her ‘Lap of Luxury’ themed Pet of the Month shoot. With her breathtaking beauty and banging body, Mia cannot take a bad photo. The camera loves her. Honestly, it was impossible to narrow them all down to just one cover shot and 18-page layout.”
With over 500,000 social media followers and an impressive early modeling career, Ventura has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. The former Israeli Defense Force fitness trainer and airline flight attendant says she is next taking aim at the Pet of the Year title.
“I started modeling very young and always felt loved and natural being in front of the camera,” said Mia Ventura. “And I’ve always wanted a cover!”
Credited as the first Israeli woman to have an OnlyFans account, Mia Ventura also aspires to a career in acting.
“I love my job 100 percent,” she expressed, “and I am very passionate about filming different projects from different angles in different places.”
Ventura states that her proudest accomplishment to date was moving to Los Angeles on her own to become a model, and reveals another hidden talent.
“I have a beautiful voice,” she boasts, “and I know how to sing.”
“Mia is also quite the character,” elaborated Phillips. “As our July Pet of the Month, she has many unique and interesting attributes, as you will see for yourself in the July/August issue of Penthouse. I really think we captured the essence of this bold and brazen beauty, and I think you'll agree!”
“As a top model and social media trailblazer, Mia Ventura is a true inspiration to aspiring models and influencers across the globe,” remarked Penthouse CEO Moose. “With her captivating on-camera presence and undeniable charisma, Mia has effortlessly captured the essence of the Penthouse brand. She represents the epitome of the timeless elegance and sophistication we look for in a Pet, and it is our distinct pleasure to welcome her to the Penthouse family.”
According to investigators, Adva Lavie (Mia Ventura) allegedly contacted victims through social media platforms and dating sites, presenting herself as a girlfriend or companion before gaining access to their residences and stealing valuables.
I'm told that as a former Penthouse Pet, she was quite sought after in the "companionship" world.
Authorities describe Adva Lavie, described as a female adult approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 104 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, as having been linked to a black Porsche SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, both believed to be used during the burglaries.
The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station issued a special bulletin this week, warning that Lavie may have targeted multiple victims across various neighborhoods, including Malibu and Calabasas.
Detectives said the suspect’s method involved establishing trust with older men before committing thefts from their homes.
Since this report broke, Mia Ventura has removed her Instagram and Twitter accounts, and her Linktree page is now wiped of all of her links.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have had similar encounters or information about Lavie to contact Detective Lopez at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station at (818) 878-1808 or Detective Marsh with the LAPD at (818) 374-9500.
