Even today, surrounded by sexual images used to sell everything from yogurt to sports cars, couples struggle to honestly share their sexual thoughts, experiences, preferences, boundaries, and desires. Repression, inhibition, fear of rejection, embarrassment, shame, disinformation, and lack of information all make it harder for couples to have the kind of sexual and emotional intimacy they crave.
