Are you looking for the perfect spring break spot to people gaze at hot bods or take your own sexy selfies against incredible backdrops? We've got the list, so grab your sunblock, get your plane ticket and get ready for a sizzling Spring Break 2024!

You can feel the energy in the air as college students finalize their travel decisions about where to spend spring break. Annual college closures at various times in March and April signal the official Spring Break season, and if the 2024 season will be anything like 2023, we could see over 150 million people traveling domestically and internationally. Oh yeah -- pack your patience too!

Be sure you know before you go because according to Nationwide Travel Insurance’s latest survey, consumer travel is expected to surge this year. Ninety-one percent of people surveyed said they have domestic travel plans and 40% will be traveling more than they did last year. Hitting the road by car continues to be a popular mode of transportation for at least 60% of those surveyed and 68% say they will or are mostly likely to fly.

With consumer demand high, U.S. News & World Report’s list of best spring break destinations in 2024 may look familiar. These top 10 hot spots are a favorite among the party crowd and scantily clad, focused on seeing and being seen in the sun and they're the perfect locations to get your hot shot selfies!

  1. Cancun
  2. Miami Beach
  3. Siesta Key
  4. Cabo San Lucas
  5. South Padre Island
  6. Jamaica
  7. Playa Del Carmen
  8. Puerto Rico
  9. Bahamas
  10. Puerto Vallarta

Miami Beach has always been on the top of the list for beautiful women, hot bods, and amazing beaches. Bikini and speedo bodies abound and when it all comes together, there could be unforgettable moments of debauchery that you don't want to miss. Get your camera out for hot shots up and down the sandy beaches and the sidewalk cafes and find a pink or yellow lifeguard stand to serve as a backdrop for your selfies. A beach hat and shades are a must as part of your protection from the sun.

Although you're almost guaranteed a party scene in Miami Beach, the one thing to keep in mind is that in recent years, Miami Beach has gotten so popular that crowds have sometimes caused chaos in the streets.  City officials have been trying to resolve some of the overcrowding issues and have put these new city restrictions in place in 2024. The best thing to do is plan ahead to be sure you still have fun and capture those perfect spring break pics and selfies.

Spring Break Adventure Seekers

Then there are those looking for an adrenaline rush for spring break. Squaremouth, a travel insurance comparison site, polled more than 3,200 customers about their spring travel plans. More than 40% of them say they are traveling for adventure which includes these top activities:

  • Hiking/Trekking
  • Scuba Diving
  • Horse Riding
  • Safari
  • Cycling

This is the kind of spring break holiday for the more athletically inclined. You can find and book many of these activities in the top 10 destinations listed above and these activities also create great the kinds of selfies and short videos that could make your social media posts go viral. Think of it: the perfect pic of you in your bikini on horseback galloping down a gorgeous beach or scuba diving toward a beautiful coral reef.

And then There’s the Total Solar Eclipse this Spring Break Season

The sun will be top of mind for millions this Spring Break season for a very different reason.

If you didn’t already know, the April 8 total solar eclipse is expected to contribute to a surge in spring break travel this year. According to Expedia, one of the world's leading full-service travel brands, the timing of the eclipse is one of the major drivers behind an uptick in spring break flight searches for Dallas (up 95%) and Austin (up 90%). April 1-8 has also historically been the busiest travel week for spring break.

"Spring travel is going to be even busier this year with the addition of solar eclipse seekers hitting airports in early April," said Melanie Fish, head of Expedia Group Brands public relations. "The week of April 2 is going to be the busiest and priciest time for air travel. Whether it's a fly and flop beach trip or traveling to the path of totality, the best hack is to save hundreds of dollars by bundling flights, hotels and car rental on the Expedia app."

Even more reason to plan ahead this year. Whether you’re traveling this spring break for fun in the sun, adventure, or a better view of the total solar eclipse, don't forget the selfie! there are destinations that match the affordability and activities important to you. If you’re flying, travel experts suggest you set up flight alerts on travel search sites to ensure you’re getting the best deals.

Safe travels!
