New Netflix Series Celebrates the Life of Porn Stud Rocco Siffredi

‘Supersex’ is a New Seven-Episode Biopic of the “Italian Stallion.”

To “Netflix and chill” has become a euphemism for intercourse. On March 6, 2024, the euphemism becomes even more valid when Netflix releases the first episode in its seven-part biopic of Rocco Siffredi, the infamous male star of Jenna Loves Rocco (1997), Fashionistas (2002), and The Ass Collector (2003).

Award-winning 37-year-old Italian actor Alessandro Borghi will portray a younger Siffredi in Supersex, which is loosely based on the life of the 59-year-old porn legend. The series, which made its virgin appearance at the recent 74^th Berlin International Film Festival, was inspired by Siffredi’s humble origins in Ortona, Italy, and his journey to become one of the most famous male porn stars alive. Created by Lorenzo Mieli, Matteo Rovere, and Francesca Manieri, the series blends fact and fiction to tell how a teenage Siffredi was inspired by a sexually explicit magazine to enter the adult entertainment industry in 1986.

Saul Nanni is a 25-year-old Italian actor who plays Siffredi during his early porn years, beginning with his debut film, Sodopunition pour dépravées. Since then, the man who came to be known as the “Italian Stallion,” has starred in more than 1,300 explicit videos, won dozens of industry awards for acting and directing, became a member of both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame, and been a frequent collaborator with John Stagliano’s Evil Angel studio.

Shooting for the series began in Rome, Italy during September 2022, to present a realistic story of Siffredi’s life, not only are his early years in porn explored but so are his relationships, reasons for his ambitions, the roadblocks he encountered along the way, and the prices and rewards of fame. For added authenticity, Nanni filmed 50 sex scenes in 95 days. 

Known for engaging in intense, rough gonzo sex scenes that have often included anal sex both with and without analingus, writer Francesca Manieri set out to portray the complicated family, professional, and romantic life of the man christened as Rocco Tano. Portraying his friends, lovers, and family is an assortment of mainstream Italian performers.

Although Siffredi has attempted to retire several times from the adult industry, he has returned, while also appearing in mainstream movies, reality shows, and television advertisements. In 1993, he married Hungarian model Rosa Caracciolo. Two years later, the couple performed together during Tarzan X: Shame of Jane. The couple have two children.
