Content creators take notice of the tools becoming available through generative artificial intelligence (AI)
Algorithms that can be used to create content such as audio, images, text, and videos – that can take your videos to the next level. If you haven't heard about Sora, you need to get up-to-speed on all that it promises to do. Sora is a text-to-video AI tool that creates short videos based on your written commands.
Although you couldn't use AI to generate sexually-oriented video footage, you could think of these tools as options to generate background footage, establish a particular geographic location, or even generate fantastical imagery as part of an out-of-this-world scene (think realistic-looking footage in outer space or on a far-away planet).
Sora is still early in development and it hasn't been released to the public yet, but it's already causing a buzz and even some concerns about the future of video and editing jobs in the movie biz. Examples shared by OpenAI show that Sora can create videos up to 60 seconds long based on any written prompt. It can also generate video from an existing still image. As with all AI prompts, the directions are pretty simple. All you do is describe a scene in writing and Sora creates it.
If you're a creative adult content creator, especially one who leans into scenes that require computer-generated video footage, the possibilities could be endless with a tool like Sora. You're only limited by your imagination.
According to OpenAI, “Sora is able to generate complex scenes with multiple characters, specific types of motion, and accurate details of the subject and background. The model understands not only what the user has asked for in the prompt, but also how those things exist in the physical world.”
To illustrate, OpenAI shared a number of video shorts on its website created by Sora based on written prompts. While not adult content, here's one example that could be part of a location or action sequence in any scene:
Prompt: A super car driving through city streets at night with heavy rain everywhere, shot from behind the car as it drives

To illustrate just how advanced generative AI is becoming, here's another example of this fast-progressing technology:
Prompt: A stylish woman walks down a Tokyo street filled with warm glowing neon and animated city signage. She wears a black leather jacket, a long red dress, and black boots, and carries a black purse. She wears sunglasses and red lipstick. She walks confidently and casually. The street is damp and reflective, creating a mirror effect of the colorful lights. Many pedestrians walk about.

Remember, those are videos created purely based on a simple text prompt.
Although Sora isn't the first generative AI tool to create videos, experts point to the high quality of the videos being generated, setting it apart from other tools.
OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, shared Sora on X, posting, “We'd like to show you what Sora can do, please reply with captions for videos you'd like to see and we'll start making some! Don't hold back on the detail or difficulty!”
Sam’s post led to a string of comments from followers, offering several prompts for Sora:
“A half duck half dragon flies through a beautiful sunset with a hamster dressed in adventure gear on its back,” wrote one user.
“A wizard wearing a pointed hat and a blue robe with white stars casting a spell that shoots lightning from his hand and holding an old tome in his other hand,” another added.
“A bicycle race on ocean with different animals as athletes riding the bicycles with drone camera view.”
Altman replied, sharing detailed videos created by Sora based on his follower’s prompts. He later posted about his excitement saying, “OpenAI is the most talented and nicest group of people I have ever seen in one place working on the hardest, most interesting, and most important problems with all the key resources in place.”
OpenAI Safety Concerns
We all know that AI could be used to push misinformation, hateful content, and bias. OpenAI is already working to address those issues, saying, “We’ll be taking several important safety steps ahead of making Sora available in OpenAI’s products. We are working with red teamers — domain experts in areas like misinformation, hateful content, and bias — who will be adversarially testing the model. We’re also building tools to help detect misleading content such as a detection classifier that can tell when a video was generated by Sora.”
There's more to come on this tool and it's one any adult content creator should learn about. AI won't generate sexually-explicit content, but it's a tool that any content creator can use to generate video footage to establish a location, a background, or an action sequence. Those possibilities could make this a game-changer for many industries, including the adult industry biz.
