Flesh It Out: Songs In The Key Of Smut — Long and Trippy Edition

Hey Fleshbot fans! Music and fun substances are natural bedfellows and sex (with enthusiastic consent of adult participants!) is great with both. Today’s theme is sexy songs that are long and trippy and super interesting to listen to all the different layers of instrumentation while all those sex hormones and possibly intoxicants are slowing your brain down and making you be in the moment. I see too many amateur porn videos that have just random TV sounds or worse, cartoons, in the background. I love the intersection of music and sex (clearly!) but I want the music to match the mood and not just be random TV or streaming music. Funny enough, my first selection, Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly, was just a random song in a playlist that came up while I was getting freaky with a partner one time and things were flowing toward sex and it actually made a fun soundtrack for screwing. It’s got a great beat and its full unabridged 17-minute length just makes it such an epic in song form. The title is a slurred version of “in the garden of Eden” and we all know there was some boning going on there for sure.

L.A. Woman by The Doors – Perfect song if your partner has named their cock or clit Ms./Mx/Mr. Mojo, because of the “Mr. Mojo Rising” lyric. This is a fun song to vary up the rhythm of your chosen sexual acts.

Black Magic Woman by Santana-- The sensual samba beat of this classic song gets your hips moving almost involuntarily, it seems. Seems a perfect song to seduce someone on the dance floor and drag them back to your witch’s den of iniquity and talk to them about your vagenda of manicide!

Slow Ride by Foghat--- Another one where you simply must listen to the unabridged 8-minute version (the linked video is, of course, this version). “Slow ride/take it easy” is some great sex advice to begin with in almost every situation. Establish a good rhythm and listen to your partner(s) about what they like before you just dive into a fuck frenzy.

Land: Horses / Land of a Thousand Dances / La Mer (de) by Patti Smith --- This nine-minute masterpiece was my introduction to Patti Smith’s music as the soundtrack to a character’s descent into madness on the sci-fi show Millennium. This song is a gorgeous sexy trip through the psyche and has some profound lyrics if you listen closely.

Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin-- Lots of fun sex sounds happen in this song and the guitars are sexy af. There’s also a theremin used on this song and theremins are super fun. “Way down inside” indeed.
