Throwback Thursday: Queer Pride Edition Featuring The CrashPad Series On PinkLabel.tv

Happy Pride, Fleshbot Fans! I hope everyone is having a stellar month.  For Throwback Thursday today, I’m going to spotlight one of the longest-running feminist indie queer porn series out there, the multiple award-winning CrashPad series, brainchild of feminist pornographer Shine Louise Houston. This is an extremely long-running series that can be found at both PinkLabel.tv and CrashPadSeries.com. Literally, you can see all 372 (at press time) episodes on one list right over here. I’m not going to talk about the entire series, because I will be here all day and longer, but since long-running series of anything can be intimidating-- books, movies, shows--- I’m going to start you off and let you explore on your own!

The initial movie that started it all-- The Crash Pad: Director’s Cut (2005) is comprised of almost all what is termed “dyke porn” which at the time it was made was called such in order to distinguish it from all-girl porn that is made for a primarily straight male audience. Dyke porn has body hair, body fluid, raw primal sex, all types of bodies, racial diversity, more intensity and definitely shorter fingernails on the whole. Since then the series has embraced lesbian, non-binary, gay male, trans, and BDSM content. The website has a search function and helpful icons so you can see or not see any types of action such as rough sex, fisting, anal, squirting, and BDSM. Totally not me setting it to display all the “rough”. Nope, not at all. I do like a rough and tumble time for sure, but maybe you don't, and that's okay!

We open The Crash Pad: Director’s Cut right in the middle of two dykes fucking with a strap-on wearing Jo and Dylan Ryan loving her hole filled up. The phone rings and Dylan doesn’t want to ruin the flow of things so she says not to pick up. On the other end of the line is Jiz Lee and Simone. Judging by the lack of answer, the two decide that there’s no one at the pad so they show up there and find their friends having, well, a gay old time, but no problem-- Jiz is already equipped with their strap-on and ready to rumble so it becomes a three-way with double penetration and then further fun for three continues till completion.

We learn that after this scene that no one actually lives in this place where they’re hanging out and that access to this Bay Area den of dyke debauchery works on a word-of-mouth system where a key is passed around from person to person by an enigmatic Keymaster. The rules are that you need to call before showing up to make sure it’s vacant. Access is first come first served. If you’re engaged in fun, leave the phone off the hook (wow, this was a long time ago!) so people know it’s occupied, or invite whoever shows up to join. In other words, the first folks really wanted company, and it worked out! The biggest rule is that the key must be passed on after seven uses. No one’s allowed to bogart the pad. The rest of the film is just as sexy of a ride as its opening, showcasing several more pairings and a wide array of hot and authentic action.
