Vixen contract star/director Maitland Ward has re-upped her contract with Vixen Media Group and will be exclusive to all of the Vixen sites -- Blacked, Blacked Raw, Deeper, Slayed, Tushy, Tushy Raw and Vixen--through 2025. Hello, Maitland!  It is lovely talking to you again. How are things with you?
"Hi! Always so great talking to you! Things have been amazing and busy. Not only have I been working on Vixen projects but I’ve been working on my next book and packaging the rights for my memoir. Plus working on a new docu-series."

Congrats on the renewal of your Vixen contract through 2025! How does that feel to have that all setup and now announced?
"I’ve been with Vixen since day one really and Deeper, especially since the beginning, so it makes me so happy and confident to continue along with them in what has been so far an amazing, unparalleled journey. I am the longest-running contract star with VMG and am proud to be a part of all the amazing work they do and especially with Kayden. I look forward to creating more groundbreaking projects with her and also writing and directing more projects of my own."

You are the company's longest running contract star. What about being with Vixen Media Group is the right path for your porn doings?
"I knew from the inception that they were the company I wanted to create with. Their focus on story and beautiful cinema was exactly what I was looking for when entering the adult industry. They have the highest standard or production in every aspect. Meeting with Kayden that first time before I signed on to do Drive and when everything really exploded from there I knew it was the creative path and partnership I wanted. After the past three years, we’ve grown and expanded and created pieces I am so proud of in all of the mainstream arena. And yes, porn is absolutely mainstream."

Your creative relationship with Fleshbot Director Of The Year Kayden Kross is so, so special and the work you both have created for Deeper is incredible. What can we expect to see from you in your work as the face of Deeper?
"Kayden is such a brilliant writer and director and meeting her I truly believe was fate. I’m so proud of everything we have created together and I respect and trust her like no other. I am looking forward to collaborating with her on even more groundbreaking pieces that push the boundaries of porn and cinema. We have a very unique partnership."

What goals do you have for yourself at Vixen with this new contract extension?
"I’m really looking forward to writing and directing projects. Pieces that I’ve always wanted to create since long before I entered porn or the adult space and I was just writing erotic scripts and stories for myself. I really believe that no other company could give me such freedom both creatively and cinematically. Their sets and crews are top tier and their vision to create cinematically beautiful porn really aligns with my own. I can’t wait to really write and direct lengthier stories that look beautiful on film. I think the fans will be very pleased with what we have planned for this year."

What has living with the reaction to your memoir been like? The crisp truths and overall honesty in there is so, so valuable to women in entertainment.
"I am always so touched when readers, and especially younger women, say that they identified with my story and it moved them in some way. And it doesn’t have to be someone in the porn industry or entertainment at all that identifies with it, though I’ve gotten much support from that world as well, but really it could be anyone’s story of feeling disempowered and lost. To be told no and that you can’t is such a universal thing and it’s so nice to hear when someone stands up to the system and thanks me and my story for helping them do that. I think that’s the best thing about being a writer."

What's happening in your social media at present? Anything new your fans should know about?
"I’m really excited about my new Fleshlight Quickshot toy. It’s both my toys in one. It’s been selling so well so I think the fans are really excited too. The demand for my first two toys has been incredible the last few years. And I love my OnlyFans subscribers. We have a lot of fun on there and I’m proud to have such a great following."

What are the best movies and books you have seen lately? What are you loving these days?
"I’ve been working so hard that I haven’t been able to sit down and watch everything I want to. Lately, I find myself watching older films to gain inspiration for my scripts. I was watching Klute and I think the story and acting in that were so good. There were so many more films back then that were provocative and pushed the envelope."

What else is coming up for you? What should your fans be on the look out for?
"Aside from my work at Vixen, I’m working on another book now with Simon & Schuster and developing a series based on my memoir as well as a docuseries. Lots on my plate but I wouldn’t have it any other way. But in June fans should be on the lookout for something big."

Is there anything that you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?
"As always my fans are the best! I couldn’t do any of this without you and I’m always so happy and grateful for these interviews here so I can share with them everything that’s going on. Fleshbot is amazing and so are the fans!"
