The XCritic staff likes to point out that porn people are just people like everyone else. If you've read any of our industry interviews then you have probably realized this and that many of the people in the industry have diverse talents and interests. Karma Rx has recently opened up a handmade soap company, Anarchist Soap Co. Yes, she makes it herself, yes it's all natural, and some of our staff were eager to try it out so they got online pretty much when the products launched and ordered up whatever sounded good to them...here are their thoughts.
Don Juan DeMarko says this: "The Anarchist Soap Company. When I decided to purchase something from Karma Rx and her new business venture, thoughts of moist skin and hands like when I was twenty-one popped into my head. During the COVID-19 pandemic I thought why not help out one of the most beautiful starlets in the adult world, and we can see if what she is selling is as good as her fellow performers claimed them to be. Jay Taylor’s Twitter post was dancing around in my head the whole time shopping online. What the end result became, was I should have bought more. I have used Burt Bee’s Wax, AKA Burt’s bullshit for years and there is always some added moisture but nothing that stopped the burning pain of cracked, dry skin in between the knuckles.
I planned on making this a centerpiece in my souvenirs of the industry and it’s amazing peeps but I said “fuck it” let’s see if this gal really knows what she is doing. She sure fucking did. The smell is wonderful with “The Outlaw” hand salve. It is not fruity, or girly, which I don’t mind but I know a lot of guys do. That is how Burt’s bullshit stays in business it's bland everything so macho men can still feel macho. This natural blend of natural products feels wonderful on the skin. I find myself already half-way through the can. It is an unexpected aromatherapy to boot. This was one of the best fucking buys I have ever made, and I am looking to try more. At seventeen dollars it is a little steep but I think you get your money's worth for something handmade with a decent quantity. The rugged, yet sexy aroma is such a big plus. Highly fucking Recommended."
Sierra Slayter and her husband Damien both went au natural with the unscented soap and Sierra has this to say about it: "Creamy Unscented Goat Milk Soap: lathers nicely and provides much needed moisture for skin without leaving behind any soap residue or feeling greasy. Lather provides ample glide necessary for shaving legs (and lady parts!) without leaving any red bumps or irritation. I have sensitive skin and this is gentle enough to use daily!"
Sierra and Damien were so excited to get their order they even filmed the unboxing of it and put it on Twitter!
J.W. Sharp went in a different direction and sought out one of the more fragrant soaps in her line, The Viking and here are his thoughts on it:
"Let me start off by saying my wife is a collector of decorative soaps. Every Xmas our bathroom shelves are lined with green giving off the scent of pine, while every Valentine's day it's red hearts. So when I told her that Karma RX, a favorite in our house, was making hand made soaps we jumped on it. We headed to Etsy and decided to go with The Viking, a very lovely combination of blue and green made from goats milk and essential oils. It took a little less than two weeks to arrive, and when we opened the small plain brown box the first thing we noticed was the very pleasant scent of evergreen to come wafting out. It's a beautiful bar, a gorgeous psychedelic swirl of blue and green with an off color white representing the goat's milk. It's a pleasing aesthetic as well, light and a little rough to the touch from the oils, and emblazoned with a nice Anarchist Soap Co label. But the most pleasurable aspect it gives after first encountering it is the gorgeous aroma it lets off, pleasantly overwhelming you by it's evergreen scent. You can tell Karma really labored over this soap, putting so much into her unique creation of combining goat's milk with the other essential ingredients. We placed the bar on our bathroom shelf to join the family of other soaps we've collected over the years, and you can just imagine our happiness after stepping out of the shower every morning to the aroma of evergreen that fills the room every day. If you are a collector, or if you're looking for a very nice daily regimen, head over to the Anarchist Soap Co on Etsy and patron Karma's store. She has a wide array of soaps, balms, essential oils, etc. that I'm sure you'll enjoy."
Well, there you have it. Three reviews from people who spend a lot of time reviewing things. You can trust us on this one, we agree with all the reviews on her own site which are written by people all over the country, she is making a great product and we hope you'll head over there and support her! After all, you're going to wash your hands many times a day so you might as well be doing it with natural, handmade products!
Highly Recommended!
