Let’s talk about CONTENT TRADE!!!

There are a few things that need to be addressed and known before you agree to trade content with other performers.

1. Communicate with everyone who will be involved in the filming process. That includes all performers, cameramen, editors,etc. Basically know who you are going to be working with on the project and have their contact information.
2. YOU are responsible for ALL aspects of the scene which means not only will you be performing but you will need to make sure to get ALL paperwork (2257, model release form), copies of valid ID’s, check valid tests. You must act as not only the talent but as the producer/director as well even if you are not the one holding camera.
3. Discuss ALL aspects of the scene BEFORE you start filming. This includes what type of scene (bg,gg,group,toys,anal, etc.). Make YOUR wishes known. DO NOT be afraid to tell the other parties involved your do’s & don’ts. YOU are in control of what you are filming again even if you don’t have the camera in your hand.
4. Discuss HOW/WHEN the content will be distributed to ALL parties involved, who can sell it, and when they can sell it. You should ALL be in agreement on how and when the content should be released.
5. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Before you agree to film with other talent, do research on who they are? What kind of content do they shoot? Ask other talent who have filmed with them if you have any reservations about filming with them. Remember this is TRADE CONTENT! You will own it. You will he selling it. Make it something you enjoy, you are proud of, and MOST of all YOUR fan base will love. You're going to be selling this to your fans so it needs to be something they would want to buy.
6. When it comes to selling your trade content, once you have decided on a date to release it then you need to decide how you will release it personally. You will likely not be selling it in the same place the other talent is selling it and even if you are, your fans are there for you. So make sure to really push YOUR BRAND!!! Make it YOUR OWN!! If it was pre-edited you can still market it with your own description really focusing on your assets. The platform you choose really depends on what type of scene was filmed. Some platforms are great for hardcore sex scenes, some for fetish, some for more personal interaction. Look through the other content that is sold there & see if it matches what you are selling.
7. In the end, you will be successful if you are a bit picky about who you film with and make sure you are filming with those who have a good reputation and want all of you to be successful. Watch out for those who are only there for their own selfish reasons. We are all here to make money but when it comes to trade content. No one is getting paid so it has to be a mutual partnership or it will not work.
