XCritic Interview: Dakota Skye

With her beautiful eyes and her extraordinary physique, Dakota Skye quickly caught the eyes of porn fans around the world. Currently known as one of the most sought-after teen porn stars to shoot with, her fame shows no signs of stopping any time soon. She's a porn star who has overcome addiction, come through stronger, and looked incredible while she did it all. 

Every single day, it seems like this girl manages to generate more buzz about her booming career. But, how does this blonde bombshell do it? What’s she like off-set? To find out about this hottie with a body, I got to sit down and chat with her about porn, life, and everything in between.

Ossiana Tepfenhart: You have thousands of fans, tons of videos, and oodles of attention on your career, Dakota! It takes a lot of talent and epic looks to make it so far. What's your number one secret to success?

Dakota Skye: I just use my eyes during scenes because it’s my best quality. As for everything else, I will just be myself. That’s number one.

The sheer number of companies you've shot with is staggering. What do you have planned in the future? Any new companies you want to work with?

I’d love to work for Legal Porno but that’s hopefully being set up as we speak!

What's the hottest scene you've ever shot? Tell me about it. What made it so hot?

My first gang bang! I was so amazed by all the men! I didn’t even know what was going on but needless to say, it was overwhelmingly great.

On your official Twitter, you mention that you were the "black sheep" in the industry for a while before you rose back to stardom. What was the challenge you faced? Do you have advice for others who are dealing with the same issue?

Just be yourself. Nobody is better than the effort you can put in. Especially when it comes to healthy change.

Who are your favorite models to work with?

Adriana Checkik! During my Dakota Goes Nuts, the GG anal was amazing.

Yowza! You have quite a few tattoos, all of which are epic. Do you have a favorite or one that has a cool story behind it?

I have a tiger on my leg. It was because I was struggling and in an emotionally painful place. I wanted to take the pain away in a healthy way.

How did you get started in adult films? What was the moment you decided to go for it?

I was scouted out by an agency. I signed and from there it’s been a wrap.

Your anal scenes are legendary. How do you prep for them?

I don’t eat 24 hours before, rinse out, and take Immodium. But mentally, it’s huge. I just relax and I’m comfortable with who I am.

As a porn star, you're a sexpert by default. Tell me a sex tip that most people never really think about.

Anal is amazing. Just try it. Don’t knock it until you try it.

Do you have a go-to makeup look that you really enjoy? What's a beauty tip you want to share with fans?

I like the natural look. Nudes. Pick up any nudes palette from any Sephora.

What was the wildest experience you ever had with a fan? Were there any moments that just seemed surreal?

The expos. I don’t realize how well known I am until I go there. I’m hoping that feature dancing is gonna be the same way! I’ve done a few appearances so far, and they rocked. So many people came to Al’s Cabaret! I was amazed.

I checked out your Twitter, and you're definitely a Hello Kitty fan like myself. What's your favorite Hello Kitty collectible you own?

I have a stuffed animal I enjoy, but funny my fave tattoo actually isn’t Hello Kitty.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not shooting?

Hanging with my dog.

Do you enjoy reading up on any topics while you're not on set? What's your favorite recent read?

I got the Marilyn Monroe book! It’s of all the photos Andre took of her, and about her life.

What are the most attractive features a man can have?

That’s simple! Confidence is key.

What's something that you wish guys would understand when it comes to women and the modern dating scene?

I’m not just a piece of meat.

Do you have a major pet peeve when it comes to the porn star life? What is it?

Not being able to have a day off. It’s a lifestyle and a lot of work.

What's the nicest thing a fan did for you?

Donated to my mother’s cause.. she’s passing away from liver failure and we’re all just staying positive or trying to help out.

When you were in high school, what were you like? What was your favorite subject?

I was a “scene queen” is what they called it. Ha! I was an outcast though.

Rockers unite! I was a goth and a cosplayer back in the day. Speaking of cosplay, you played a damsel in distress in a recent Dirty Cosplay flick. What was it like to get saved by a sexy hero? Are you into cosplay at all?

I love comic books and it was an amazing extra gig to do. I had so much fun!

If you could cosplay any Marvel Avenger, who would it be?

Black Widow.

Did you have a favorite comic series growing up? What was it?

I really can’t just pick one, haha.

You also are known for being a model that overcame addiction and now helps others in the scene kick habits. Do you have any advice for someone who's getting sober?

Just do it. It sounds (and feels) terrible at first, but once you get past the first month, it’s amazing.

Do you have any special causes that you want to bring attention to? What are they?

Suicide prevention.  It’s a huge issue that we have in our society.

It's very clear that you're using your porn star status to help others become better. What's your best advice for people who want to improve themselves?

Just ask for help. Tons of us are here and APACsocial is very useful.

What's something you wish people would know about you?

I’m a human being too. I’m not a superhero, as much as I try.

You’re still a hero to many, I can tell you that. Do you have anything you want to tell fans?
