Kimber Haven is a beautiful woman both inside and out. Not only is she physically pretty, but her heart is in the right place. She can never be called a diva because she cares for people and animals too much. Hi Kimber, you are so popular and a hit in your Chaturbate cam shows. Why is camming so satisfying for you?

On my cam shows, I can basically be creative and do a performance piece the way I want to do it. I do a much different cam show than I’ve seen, and it's more like a sexy variety show than just turning on my cam and jerking off. I have a background in stand up comedy and I tell jokes, do celebrity impressions, as well as dance and do sexual things to interact with all the viewers. Basically, I created a show that guys stick around for after they get release because they are entertained and want to hear what I’m going to say next or see what I’m going to do next. I wanted to entertain as well as provide a voyeuristic experience for my audience.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I began as a cam model, and became quite popular doing that because my show was unique and different than others out there. Porn legend Wendy Williams, who also lives in Kentucky, would cam to her fans and they would ask if she knew me. After she had heard my name enough, she hit me on Facebook, and asked me to come down to her T-girl party in Lexington. I of course did. We hit it off and before long she had me up on stage as a featured dancer. Later on, she asked if I would be interested in doing adult entertainment and the rest of my career evolved from there. My first scene was for Wendywilliamsxxx, then I did shoots for Grooby, and Strokers/Mancini Productions. I had so much fun and still am! I will keep doing porn as long as it's fun for me, and the fans like what I’m doing.

When did you realize that you were "different" from your male identity?

Oh, I always knew. I think all trans girls do. Of course a lot of us try and hide it from the world to prevent becoming isolated from our friends and family. I was no exception to that, so I was kind of like a reverse cross dresser. My male persona was a costume I wore for the world but the real me was always Kimber. I think its that way for a lot of transgender girls.

Your performances are exciting. Do you enjoy being in the top or the bottom role?

Depends on my partner really. For example, with other T-girls and genetic girls I’m a pretty aggressive top. However, when it comes to men, I like them to be alpha males and put me in my place, so I take the bottom. I like all genders without favoritism! They all have their merits, but for the most part I find myself in the top role for feminine partners and the more submissive bottom role for male partners.

What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy?

Her vagina! No, just kidding. Women have it friggin’ tough. When you live most of your life as a man and then see things from the other side, you get an appreciation for what women put up with and how strong they really are. Weaker sex my ass! Behind every great man there’s an even greater woman. As far as what makes a woman sexy, I don’t put a lot of weight on shallow appearance standards. I like all shapes and sizes of women. I think a woman’s sexuality is paramount. Some women just ooze sex appeal and are confident! They excite me just with the way they look at me. I think sexy is a quality that comes from within and has nothing to do with physicality. I mean, I’ve met women that looked like playmates but just were not sexy. They didn’t have the “it” factor. It's all about the attitude and personality for me.

What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

I’m not sure if I’m a big “admirer” of men. After all, I did jump ship and switched sides. However, men can be down right sexy as hell. The manlier, dominant, and alpha a man is the more it will get me revved up. If a man is confident, knows what he wants, and takes it then it's friggin’ hot. When I want a man, I want a MAN! I want him to take charge in the bedroom! I’m getting hot and bothered just talking about it.

How were you as a kid?

I was a total nerd, dork, geek, and spaz. I was in the chess club, yearbook club, dungeons and dragons club, and I spent all my time collecting and reading comic books. I didn’t have many friends at all, and was in no way popular. I didn’t get picked on a lot though because I’m a giant.

What was the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry when you started?

I guess I fell into the ignorance of thinking porn is just fun. That you show up, have fun sex, and then call it a day. I had no idea how much hard work went into a shoot. I mean most guys watch a fifteen to twenty-minute sex scene and think that’s how it goes down. From the outside perspective, you don’t realize it took 2 to 3 hours to get that scene shot. I’ve put 8 to 10 hour days on set before and, I was putting in fourteen to eighteen hour days during AVN. Porn IS fun, porn CAN be rewarding, but it's NOT an easy job! If you walk in thinking its all fun and sex, then you get a rude awakening. I can see how a lot of girls burn out in the business. I take no days off, no vacation, and I work ten to twelve hours, seven days a week. I would probably burn out too if I didn’t have such a passion for the industry.

Wendy Williams has been an amazing mentor to you. What are your thoughts on this legendary performer?

Wendy is amazing. She will always be special to me. She believed in me and saw something in me when nobody else did. That will stay with me my whole life. Wendy not only took me under her wing, but she taught me so much about the business. I’ve had large studio shoots, DVD releases, won numerous awards, and have my own production company. None of that would have ever been possible without her seeing something in me and mentoring me. We are like sisters and we have fought pretty bad before because that’s just what sisters do. I have mad love for Wendy and would do anything for her. I owe her a lot. There would be no Kimber Haven porn star if there was no Wendy Williams.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Well I’m working non stop, so I USED to have hobbies. I have my own production company Badgirl Mafia, and I’m always writing scripts and doing shoots. So, that’s how I spend my “down”, time if you can call it that. When I get writers block, I may sit down and strum a bit on my electric guitar to relax so I can clear my mind, and get back to writing. If I get a rare chunk of time that I have absolutely nothing to do, I will binge watch Netflix, check on my stocks, and maybe make a few investments. I would like to say I go out and do exciting stuff in my free time, but that’s not really the case for me.

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

Sex. Just kidding. I love being able to reach people in a positive way and make them happy. Porn stars get a bad wrap, but at the end of the day they do something that brings enjoyment to so many people. Whether it's a lonely guy that got stood up on a Saturday night, or a couple in love looking to spice up their marriage with some naughty films. Few professions bring as much happiness into someone’s private lives. I love doing something that people enjoy and that makes people happy.

Are you an animal lover? Are you a dog or cat person?

I’m a huge softy when it comes to animals. When the commercial comes on about animal abuse with Sara McLaughlin singing, I have to turn the channel or I start crying. I am a dog person for sure and have 2 of them; both rescues that had love to give and just needed someone to love them back. I have a female pit-bull named Tiggy, and a male Beagle named Bruno. They are my babies and they are spoiled rotten. They may have not started off with a good life, but they have one now.

How does it feel when you meet your fans? Does it feel surreal that they look at you as a role model?

I don’t know about the role model part. If they are using me as a role model, they have set their bar way too low. I love meeting my fans, and I love that they actually enjoy what I’m doing. When I do porn, I do what turns me on and they respond to that. When a guy comes up to me and says, “thank you so much I’ve jerked off to you almost everyday”, I smile and give them a hug, because it's a cool feeling. It lets me know I’m bringing enjoyment to people, and touching their lives in some way making their lives a little bit happier. By the time my fans meet me at an expo or award show, they already know me. I spend 5 to 6 hours a day talking to them, and respond to everyone who messages me on social media. So, when I meet them I’ve been talking to them like old friends; it’s such a cool moment. They are more than fans to me.
