Twice a year, the industry has a toy show called ANME in Burbank, CA, which brings together the toy companies, buyers, distributors and people in the adult industry. It’s a big deal to be able to get into the show, and I used my XCritic column and my PR company to score myself a pass to this amazing show.
The cool thing about the show is that you will get to see things before they even come out, and you also never know who you will see. I ran into Allie Haze and Jada Stevens signing for the company that’s releasing multiple new toys for each girl. The toys aren’t out yet but they had prototypes and boxes, and Allie and Jada were giving out signed photographs.
I also saw Buck Angel there hawking his toy the Buckshot, made by the Perfect Fit. It’s a masturbator for trans men to engage in stroking. It’s the 1st toy for trans men and a very interesting concept.
Of course, there were tons of vibes and dildos. Icon Brands had some very realistic toys and even had some celeb toys from Flash Brown and their signature toy Cockzilla, which is a whopping 17 inches. If you can take that whole toy in you, there should be some kind of reward. Seriously. Even Mandingo is only 12 to 14 inches.
Another thing they had was tons of lube—I’ve never seen so many options. From natural lubes like Sliquid to upscale lubes like Pur. Sadly, you can’t really go shopping like a store and they don’t have many samples. I always try to stock up on lube. It’s a girl’s best friend.
My absolute favorite thing at the show was Lovehoney’s Tokidoki vibrators. They might be cute, but they definitely pack a punch with super powerful motors. Yeah, I felt like a Japanese schoolgirl and I think I even squealed when I saw them. They had bullet, classic, clitoral and finger vibrators, as well as love rings, male strokers, and the Unicorn Wand Vibrator. I will definitely have to get one of those to review.
I was able to sneak a few pics in which are in the article. It wasn’t an easy feat, since much of it is top secret and not even out on the shelves yet.
