It was a great move that Dana Dearmond started her adult career performing in hardcore work. It allowed her to gain much respect among her peers as a true professional immediately. Her career has definitely progressed well as she transitioned into the girl-girl and couples-viewing genres. It's these two areas where Dana has become a very good actress. Currently, we can listen to her entertaining voice on her Vivid radio show Dirty/Nerdy with Dana Dearmond.

Hi Dana, it's a pleasure to interview you. I am so pleased that you have your own Vivid radio show on Sirius XM. How did Vivid approach you in offering you your own show?

The Vivid Radio people saw me doing some work for Paul Fishbein’s Inside Adult in Vegas. I was doing BTS stuff and I guess they thought I was worth an audition, at least. They were kinda right, and kinda wrong.

I love your incredible Girl-Girl performances since they create so much heat. What is it about a girl that makes you so passionate for her?

Depends on the girl, of course. But some women I have chemistry with, or a friendship with. And I try to bring that into the performance.

How did you begin in the adult industry?

I started at Kink in 2004 because I wanted to be on fuckingmachines.com So the non-BDSM porn companies started looking at me because I already had some My Space fame. I actually transitioned from BDSM to mainstream porn. My career arc is backwards from the average porn star.

I know that your fans adore you. They must get pretty excited when they meet you since you are so cute and personable. How do you feel when you meet them? Are there any very memorable moments that stick in your mind when you and a fan met?

My fans are much more cute and personable than I am. Or maybe it’s a tie. One fan I remember meeting at AVN gave me a self-made glass pendant. I was incredibly touched that she made this something special for me. I wore it in a movie to show it to the world.

What have been your most memorable on screen performances?

Do you mean that I performed in? I’ m so in the moment when I’m performing that I don’t really reflect and analyze on the spot. But I enjoy working with people who allow me to do whatever I want. Aiden Riley from Belladonna Entertainment is one of the directors that I enjoy. I won an AVN for Best Girl Girl scene 2012 for the film SEXUAL EXPLORER.

How were you as a kid?

I was a serious kid. And I was somewhat shorter but otherwise the same as I am now. Maybe you should interview my Mom, it’s a favorite topic of hers, Young Dana

What makes a man sexy? What makes a woman sexy?

A man? Confidence, sense of humor, hygiene, and physical appearance. It all goes into a math equation. If you average out to over a 86 you are sexy. For a woman? Same thing, but butts matter as well.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I work out and do other physical activities that rhyme like hiking, biking, and wrestling a Viking. Dyking out… sometimes.

I have always been someone who likes to give credit to male performers too. Who have been a few of your favorite guys to work on screen with?

My favorite guys? The A squad. No surprises, guys who were around when I started including, but not limited to, James Deen , Mr. Pete, Toni Ribas, Mark Wood, Manuel Ferrara, John Strong (the Anchorman) , Tommy Pistol.

Many adult performers love animals. Do you have any pets?

The XRCO Awards have continued to nominate you for Orgasmic Oralist and Orgasmic Analist for years now. It's great to see that the critics continue to be aware of your amazing performances. What is it about oral and anal action that puts you into overdrive?

I am also nominated for Superslut as well. But I thank the critics for recognizing my commitment to sucking dicks and getting fucked in the ass. But I guess until I win, the nominations will have to be reward enough.

Do you have any suggestions to your male fans on what types of foods to eat to make their cum more tasty for the ladies? Lots of chocolate maybe?

I would say just drink a lot of water. Cum usually just tastes like cum. That’s the point, it’s not food. I hear pineapple but who knows.

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

I enjoy expressing myself through performance and I feel very well respected among my peers and I don’t have a boss except when I’m at Vivid Radio. But he’s the coolest guy ever.
