Catching Up with the Busy Keiran Lee

XCRITIC

Chances are if you have watched any scenes from Brazzers, you undoubtedly have seen Keiran Lee in action. And it is okay to admit it.  I do, at least. We are jealous of his talents (I think you know what I am referring to) and the endless list of gorgeous women he has shared the scene with.

Keiran is arguably one the most popular performers in the adult entertainment business today. He was born January 15, 1984 in Derby, England, and has been performing in the industry since 2007 (according to IMDB).

He is just as cool off the screen as he is on it and he took the time in his busy schedule to talk with XCritic!

DC: You recently turned 30 years old. Congrats! Will you miss your 20s? Or embrace your 30s?

KL: Well they call it your dirty 30’s, but as you can see my 20’s were pretty damn filthy so if that’s anything to go by then I’m certain to embrace it LOL

DC: It seems like the AVN Awards Show just keeps getting bigger and bigger each year in terms of the glitz and glamour, as well as the celebrity guest appearances and musical acts. Is this a good thing for the industry?

KL: I think its great for the AVN to have more celebrity guests, it can only help give the industry more of a mainstream look, especially after some of the trying times we had last year with the HIV press etc.

DC: You always hear what the women are wearing to these award shows. What DID YOU wear down the red carpet of the AVNs?

KL: I wore a European suit….and by European I mean one that actually fit…..I think its a running joke between the Euro performers that Americans just don’t seem to ever wear suits that are tailored to fit correctly.

DC: Generally speaking, there will always be new waves of female talent that attempt to break into the industry. How about on the other side of the equation for the men? It seems like there is a good staple of male talent out there today. How would you assess being in the industry as a male actor today, as opposed to 5-10 years ago? Do you see more male talent trying to break into the business?

KL: I think there are a lot more trying to succeed in getting into the biz, but very few that actually break-in and make a name for themselves. I think the bigger companies still prefer to stick with the tried and trusted performers as they know what they are getting and no waiting around for wood, etc. (A director’s worst nightmare, as 1st thing they think about is location cost).

DC: I spoke with Courtney Cummz recently about trends that she is starting to see emerge in the business. One of the things she mentioned was the fact that as a woman to stay ahead, you almost have to act as your own PR Manager – really engage in social media and promote yourself. Do you find that to be true on your end? How have you been able to sustain the career you’ve had?

KL: It’s true, with social media these days there are so many ways to promote yourself and get your name out there. Plus, it’s a great way for directors and companies to judge who will work well with whom, as well as who the fans would like to see together.

DC: I love the fact that you are on Twitter and generally keep things light hearted, while doing a great job interacting with the fans. How has the Twitter experience been for you? Are there things you try to keep private?

KL: I’m actually a pain on Twitter. I don’t take any negatives comments to heart.  In fact, I actually laugh and poke fun at them. But, overall Twitter has been great for me and it has also opened up a few doors for me in the mainstream world.

DC: You are married (is that correct? Apologies if I am wrong), to the lovely Kirsten Price. And you guys enjoy a playful banter on Twitter. How has Kirsten helped you in your career/life? What are some of the things you guys do that make it a successful relationship?

KL: Kirsten is my rock. I was in a relationship within the industry before I got with Kirsten and the experiences have been night and day. She fully supports me in everything I do, and she helps me design some of my scenes in a sense of set and wardrobe. I also think some girls like that fact that I’m actually married and not a creep trying hit on them before or after scene.

DC: You are also an avid soccer fan. Who is your team and are you getting excited for the World Cup?

KL: Huge Football fan, not soccer LOL. I’m really excited for this year’s World Cup, and ticket depending, I will be there in Brazil cheering on England.

DC: How often do you get the chance to make it back to the UK?

KL: I miss home a lot, so I tend to visit every 3 or 4 months if I can. I remember one year I was there about 8 times with work commitments, bachelor parties, weddings, and birthdays.

DC: Are there places you still want to visit?

KL: I still haven’t done Thailand, that is one place for sure I would like to visit. Also Bora Bora, the Maldives, and being of Indian descent, I would also like to visit India.

DC: Lastly, is there anything on the horizon fans can expect from you? Is there anything you are looking forward to in 2014?

KL: There are some big things planned for 2014 for me on both a work side of things and personal side of things. At the moment, there are a few projects I am working with (Brazzers) but we can't announce yet. But as soon as I can, I will let you know. In the meantime, it is just Brazzers and DP scenes for me.
