In a sign that the times are changing, AVN Media has finally come to the realization that it can no longer ignore BBW performers by granting them their own award category at the AVN Awards ceremony, BBW Performer Of the Year. The award which recognizes a BBW performer's entire body of work, also recognizes the fact that BBW's are a force in the industry and have been for a long time. Thanks to studios such as Plumper Pass/Sensational Video, The Score Group, Rodney Moore and to a lesser extent the major adult studios which have recently recently released their own BBW lines, the genre has now garnered much long overdue respect and appreciation. Sales of BBW titles are growing at a moderate pace and more women than ever on the plus-size scale are entering the adult entertainment field, which was once virtually off imits to them. BBW porn now has a talent pool consisting of first class performers who are not only gorgeous but are naturally sexual beings who were practically born for this job. Add to that quality productions, bigger budgets and a fan base that are no longer just guys with a fat or feeding fetish. With big name male talent volunteering to be in scenes with these large plump ladies it just goes to show everyone that BBWs are here to stay!

These 15 ladies nominated for BBW Performer Of the Year represent the very best of BBW porn for the past year but, they are hardly the only ladies in the genre who have helped established BBW porn. While we may disagree with some of the choices (what awards category doesn't cause arguments), the BBW Performer Of the Year freshman class have all earned their richly deserved accolades. XCritic salutes these ladies for all their stellar performances they have provided for us in 2013.
