Hi Kayla, I enjoy your fetish work a whole lot. I like the sensuality that you bring to your work. How did you become so fascinated in fetish foreplay?

Through being an erotic model and go-go dancer, I was in the right places at the right times to be exposed to the fetish lifestyle. Before that, I didn't really associate my kinky interests in bed with a lifestyle. Once I was introduced to the fetish community at large, I explored my way through it, personally and professionally, learning what I liked, didn't like, and where I belonged in the scheme of things.

How long have you been in the industry? How did you get started in it?

I have been in the industry since I was 18. I started shooting for Burning Angel when I was still living in NY, and continued a relationship with Joanna and the company when I moved to LA. Then, I helped to start another ALT site (with which I am no longer affiliated) with a friend. After that experience, I started collecting content for my own sites, while still working with select alternative and fetish erotic producers in LA, NYC, and Florida.

What has been your most pleasurable moments so far? What has been your least pleasurable?

This is another hard question, probably one of my best/most pleasurable moments was launching my first website, because I finally felt in control of my future and my passion for erotic art. Another top contender would be being accepted as a new director for Filly Films. It really is the culmination of over ten years of hard work on the outskirts of the mainstream porn industry. After that meeting with them, I finally felt like I was being recognized for all that work, and it was a fantastic feeling. My least pleasurable is also hard to say. I try not to keep those negative experiences on my mind longer than I have to. I prefer to focus on the positive and let the negative run it's course, learn from it, and move on.

What did you do before you entered the adult film world?

I entered young and I continued to do other work after entering the adult industry, so there is a lot of overlap. But before I was naked on the Internet, I was a go-go dancer and burlesque performer, as well as a fashion design student. Although I never stopped taking naughty pictures for various sites and adult photographers, I did stop making it my priority when I was 19 and decided to complete my courses to become a SCUBA instructor. Then, I worked as an instructor for a few years while continuing my naked life on the Internet. Once I quit teaching diving full time, I went back to focusing on my erotic career and decided to start my first official site.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry since you have started?

Probably that I am still involved in it. I never thought it would have lasted this long.

You were in the music video "Buddy" by Iran. Could you tell us how you got involved in it? How was that experience?

Interesting that you picked this one out of the over 75 music videos I’ve appeared in. It is definitely up there on my list of favorite music video roles I have done over the years, but not for the usual reasons. It’s a very fucked up video with clips of young summer love, the follies of young friends, a booty dancer and me bound in Christmas lights, gagged, crying and fleeing through the woods are mixed together to create a really crazy feeling for the viewer. The director, Michael Grodner, is someone who I have worked with a few times over the years, and I always love the experience. He has a magical and fucked up mind, and I love to work with directors like that. It was a really intense scene for me, but I am known for being able to make myself cry for productions, so I am cast frequently for the messed up parts, which require it. It’s a blessing and a curse!

You are also involved in bondage play. Do you enjoy being the dominant or the submissive role?

I’m always a Dominant in reality. The thing about bondage, and even foot worship, is that a lot of people have this idea that whomever is tied up must be the submissive, or whomever is the one worshiping feet is the submissive. What if the Dominant enjoys the feeling of rope or strict bondage, while they are pleasured, and instructs their submissive to bind them? What about when the Dominant has the foot fetish and requires that their submissive let them enjoy their feet as part of sex or foreplay? Personally, I enjoy physical restraint sexually, but not being dominated.

You have so much chemistry with other women. What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy?

Thank you. I would like to think it’s because I always have control over whom I shoot with and whom I’m seen with. I won't shoot with a girl that I don't have chemistry with—what would be the point? I love confident women who aren't shy with their sexuality. I absolutely prefer all natural women—I just can't get down with fake titties, asses, or lips, and there are so many of them in this industry. Personality also has a lot to do with whom I find sexy. I actually perform better with the girls I know better; although there are some girls I know who say the exact opposite. For me, getting to know how they think and what turns them on makes our scenes better.

What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

Confidence is number one to both those questions, especially around a woman like me. There are boys that try to overpower me with their egos and too much confidence, which screams that they are hiding major insecurities. I also have to say, which might sound weird coming from a queer woman, but to me a sexy man has a well built body, not overly muscular, but well toned, with a great back and ass, and visible thighs and calves. Mmmmmm. If I wanted a soft body, I would fuck a chick or an androgynous lover, but if I want a man, I want a man.

How does it feel when you meet your fans?

It feels great! I love seeing the look of excitement, happiness, probably a bit of horniness in their eyes. When someone shouts my name out, or spots me in public, it’s a little trippy, but usually even more flattering because I've been caught off guard and I wasn't prepared to meet fans like at a convention or something. It means someone recognizes me with more clothing on, without makeup and all that good stuff, and sometimes it’s not even the tattoos that give it away.

Many adult stars are animal lovers. Are you one of them? Are you a cat or dog person?

I am absolutely an animal lover. I’m a cat person and sea creature person. I have two cats, both rescues. Dexter is my "old man", who I‘ve had since my 18th birthday, back when I lived in NYC. Pierre was a new addition to my family since June 2013—he had spent his entire life up until that point in shelters and was just about five years old, when we adopted him. They are so different and both loved like little furry people.

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

Check out my first scene for Filly Films and you will get to see some of the talent I love working with, always wanted to work with, and who are new on the scene, but have caught my eye.

What are your hobbies and interests?

All my hobbies are somehow also professional endeavors, but when I do them for fun without pay, I guess I consider it recreation. Scuba diving, writing, dancing, running, and occasionally gardening naked.

What is your shoe size?

7.5, the perfect size, high arches, tiny toes, meaty soles.

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

It’s hard to pick one thing, but mostly I enjoy the access it gives me to other people’s minds. I get to tap into people’s fantasies and share them, but I also tap into the "taboo" part of all of us. People will confide things in me, like I am their therapist or hairdresser, because they have the feeling that I have an open mind, which is true. People feel comfortable speaking openly and bluntly with me which is something I appreciate—it opens the lines of communication for a lot of people who are realizing that sexuality doesn't have to be a secret.

I’m working on my XXX (lesbian) directorial debut with a feature for Filly Films—it stars Aaliyah Love, Jenna J Ross, Ashley Stone, Bree Daniels, and I will even be making a cameo appearance!
