Sean vs 2012 AEE Day 1 : Let the fun begin…..

After a one year break, it’s time to return to Las Vegas for the Adult Entertainment Expo and Awards. And this year was special for a few reasons. First, this is my first year covering the fun for Xcritic and plus they moved the convention to a new location and on a different week that CES. That left many questions going into the convention, but the short answer is that I had a blast, and now I can share with you readers the fun that was had.

As I boarded my plane, I was able to leave the cold Milwaukee airport, just as the snow started to fall, and after a bumpy take off, we finally broke through the clouds and I got to see the sun, which was something I wasn’t used to seeing too much in January in Wisconsin.

But enough about that, let’s get to the convention. As I stated earlier this was my first time covering anything for the site, and I had some interviews lined up, so you can guess I was a little nervous about those. But I packed up my handheld video camera, camera, Iphone, batteries, and gum and headed off to the 1st day of AEE, which was for press only. Before I walked into the convention I met up with fellow Xcritic reviewer/writer @RobGPerez, and also bumped into Potter from the Elegant Angel pod cast (more on that later). And as we made our way into the first of three rooms, only two open today, we took a few laps to get familiar with the setup before we would head off to our first interviews of the day. And as you made your way into the main room, you were immediately taken in by the Elegant Angel booth, which seemed to be the booth I spent most of my free time at. I headed off to check out the corridor where both Brazzers and Digital Playground were both set-up and no big surprise there was already a pretty big line for a chance to meet/get a picture with/get stuff signed by the Digital Playground girls.

I was looking forward into getting a chance to interview both Stoya and Riley Steele later that day.

And as my first interview was about to begin, the nerves were starting to increase, but I have to say that luckily my first interview for the site, was made awesome by Charley Chase. She was easy to talk to, and even though I had some questions lined up, I had no problem finding things to talk about. And she was excited to find out that she popped my interview cherry.

And for the next hour, I would be spending most of my time at the Exquisite Booth, where I got to the interview London Keyes and fellow Xcritic family member Chanel Preston.

And as the interviews went on, the got easier and easier, and the nerves finally calmed down. And as the day continued on, the main room started to fill up and there was already some rumblings about how packed it was going to be in the next few days once the fans started pouring in. But there was plenty of lovely ladies to look at, so we didn’t worry too much about it.

I also learned a few things the first day of the show. One is that putting my twitter name on my name tag instead of my name was a very good idea. I found out that many people recognized the name and even read some of my reviews, which is always nice to hear.

And the other thing I learned on day one, Lily Carter is freaking awesome.

And if you saw the great picture at the top of this blog, that is just one of the reason I learned this. I was a fan before the show, but I can safely say that she has reached the heart swooning status, that puts her right up there with the likes of Stoya, Alektra Blue, and a few others. And no matter what outfit she had on, she looked amazing and even though I made sure and chatted with her each day and got a picture with her, she was totally cool each time. We chatted about her fantasy football teams, her singing voice, playing MW3, and even how much enjoyed her on the Elegant Angel pod cast (which you should all listen to, be warned it can’t be distracting at times, but for good reasons)

Elegant Angel, whio in my opinion had the best group of ladies, and no matter what your taste, they had a girl that I am sure you are a fan of. So after looking at the pretty ladies, it was time to head back to the Digital Playground area for the big group photo.

and for my interviews with two other lovely ladies, Stoya and Riley.

And I can say that I was the most nervous for my interview with Riley and you can kind of tell by the interview, I seemed at a loss for words at time and my brain wasn’t helping as I was trying to come up with some more questions. And after I was done, I was a little disappointed it was so short, but I still had fun talking to her either way.

And as the day was about to end, I did end up meeting some more of the Xcritic family, including @ebertofsmut and @xcritic himself. And as we compared stories and our plans, I knew that we were in store for some fun times in the next few days. It was going to be some long days, and I was very tired at the end of each day, but after looking at the pics, and remembering all the people I got to meet and talk to, it was totally worth it.
