Someone who is going to be huge in the Girl-Girl field once she crosses the large pond from the United Kingdom to our shores is adult starlet and glamour model Katie K. I first noticed Katie when I reviewed the XCritic Pick Nikki Jayne - The Making of a Porn Star and one could tell that she had great potential. It is not surprising that XBIZ has nominated her for Foreign Female Performer of the Year. Hi Katie, I want to congratulate you on your XBIZ nominations for Foreign Female Performer of the Year and Pornstar Website of the Year. What do these accolades mean to you?

Thank you very much!  I'm very excited about them. They're awesome awards to be nominated for!  For me, this means that I've been doing a great job, heading in the right direction, and all my hard work this year has paid off!

How long have you been in the industry? What have been your most pleasurable moments? What has been your least pleasurable?

I've been in the industry now for five years, but it was only this year that I decided to really make something of this and turn it into a career. My most pleasurable moments have definitely been being nominated for the XBIZ Awards. I was also nominated for a 2010 AVN for All Girl Three-Way Sex Scene and I presented an award at the UK's Television X SHAFTA Awards with a famous BBC Radio 1 DJ, Tim Westwood!  That was pretty awesome!  I'm lucky enough to not have had any bad moments. I love my work and enjoy everything I do.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I was going through a bi-curious stage and I wondered if I did actually fancy girls. I was very shy and couldn’t face just going up to a girl and asking her out so I decided that there was no better way to figure out if I am bisexual or not by doing a lesbian film. That way the other girl was getting paid for it and couldn’t say no! After meeting a porn star who lived in my area, we got together and made a film which landed in the hands of Television X and Playboy producers. The next thing I know I’m on the cover of many top shelf magazines. Once, I was on three different covers all in the same month. I’ve just gone from strength to strength ever since and never looked back.

I enjoy that you mainly work with women. Your Girl-Girl performances are playful and very hot. I remember seeing you for the first time with Nikki Jayne in the film Nikki Jayne - The Making of a Porn Star. What is it about a woman that gets you so turned on? What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy?

Thank you!  I just love everything about them!  Their faces, their smiles, their sexy curvaceous bodies, their sexy asses shaking when they walk!  I love that women know how to "work" their sexiness! When a girl looks hot, she knows she looks hot and it comes out in her attitude, I really like that!  I think I just like everything in a woman, I like all women.  Preferably all at once!! (laughs)

Now, for some time on the men, what traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

I like a guy who knows how to treat a lady. I'm not a fan of bad boys. I'd fuck them, but I wouldn't date a bad guy. I like guys with a great sense of humor and a fun, caring and sensitive personality. I also like guys who aren't afraid to be a little spontaneous or adventurous with me!

Other qualities that I admire about you are that you are so happy and energetic when you are playing with yourself in those solo scenes on your website. Could you describe how you feel when you perform them?

I just love it!  I really get off on people watching me. I'm an exhibitionist, so whenever I make a video or a movie, all I can think about is how someone is going to be watching it and masturbating over me!  That's what I love the most!  I really get into my scenes and really make sure I enjoy myself because the more I enjoy myself, the more the viewer will too!

Could you tell us what your personal website is all about?

My website, KatieKOfficial.com, is 100% run by me. What do your loyal fans mean to you?

They mean everything to me!  I love getting to know my fans and having them get to know me.  They look out for me, especially when you get silly hurtful messages on social networking sites (@katiekmodel.)  I am always wanting to keep them happy and my website is dedicated to them.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

I think the biggest surprise is how different the UK and US industries are!  The UK is much smaller and we only have a handful of major companies over here. Also the public's view on porn is very different too. The US seems to be more accepting to have Porn Star's in the mainstream media, whereas the UK frown upon it.  The UK also tends to use porn as an excuse for people's actions when they break the law or do something wrong.  

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

I am hoping to come out to America for work in a few months time because there are so many American star's I want to work with! Jenna Haze, Jesse Jane, Tera Patrick, and Jessica Drake. I would have loved to have worked with the now retired Sunny Lane and Bree Olson too!  Hopefully they will announce their returns soon!  My dream scene would be a massive lesbian orgy with all of them! (laughs)

How were you as a kid growing up?

When I was growing up, people that knew me would have said I was very shy, not very confident, didn’t really care how I looked or how I dressed. I wasn’t into fashion or boys and kind of kept myself to myself. My friends would have said I was loud and crazy because once I got to know people, I’d come out of my shell. I’ve always been a very loyal person and my friends have always said I’m great at keeping secrets and giving advice.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I’m a self-confessed workaholic so when I’m not shooting, I’m still on Twitter, fan forums and interacting with my fans in one way or another. In any spare time that I get, I like to watch movies, listen to music, I have four lizards and two dogs that I look after and I do like to let my hair down every once in a while and party with my girlfriends.

What is your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

I can't choose just one favorite thing, I love every aspect of being an adult performer!  I love my fans and I love it when they tweet me or email me.  I love it when they recognize me on the street or come down to an appearance for an autograph and a picture. It makes me feel amazing!  It's weird when fans say "You're so normal and down to Earth even though you're famous" because I don't see myself as being famous!  It's a lovely feeling to know that fans of my work are interested in my normal everyday life too and they make such an effort to put a smile on my face!  One guy traveled from Germany to come see me at an appearance at Erotica London in November! That was amazing!

Are there any web sites or future projects that you would like to promote? What are you currently working on film wise? 

I'd like to promote my website KatieKOfficial.com and my free blog KatieKModel.BlogSpot.com where you can view free pic and video samples of my latest projects.  My latest movie by Harmony Films called "Pussy Galore" have just been released on a special pre-release deal and I will have some very exiting announcements to make in the new year!
