Ann Marie Rios interview

Even though Ann Marie Rios is a great person regardless of her ethnicity, she happens to be a perfect spokesperson for the Latin heritage. I enjoy in the fact that she is proud of it and wants to expand the Latin flavor through her new Latin themed radio show; Las Horas Picantes on Playboy Radio Espanol. Also, I enjoy that she is quite fond of her loyal fans and does not take them for granted. Her hot feature dances can be described as a homage to them as she struts her stuff for the pleasure of both she and them. Overall, Ann Marie Rios is a true sweetheart and I am proud to have interviewed her.

Hi Ann Marie, I was amazed at your superb performance in the movie Escaladies. Your sympathetic character is very sweet. Are there any more Escaladies episodes to come in the near future?

I hope so. Escaladies Episode 2 came out a while back. I would love it if they continue making them. Especially since I got the good news that I received an AVN Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress from Escaladies. Also, Digital Playground is a great company to work for. They make great movies and it is always a lot of fun to be on their set.

I also love the Latin atmosphere of this series. Is it special to be in a production that embraces the great Latin heritage? Furthermore, I wish that the Spanish language could be used more often in adult film. It really adds heat and spice to a scene.

I agree. Everything sounds sexy in Spanish. Hopefully, we'll see more of that. Right now I'm putting a lot of my attention toward my Latin themed radio show; Las Horas Picantes. It's on Playboy Radio Espanol (Sirius/XM 569). I'm on Wednesday through Friday.

It's a fun show, we have guests not just from adult entertainment, but entertainment in general. We're really trying to impact the Latin market which I think we are doing. It's a great thing to explore. I don't think the adult industry does much of it just yet. It's still a new show, but we are picking up speed and I think that it will be a success.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I was nineteen. I was young and I thought about trying something different. Looking back on it, I laugh because I was so shy and quiet, but doing porn! It took me a little bit to get into it. Those first few scenes were eye opening, but I got into the groove and here I am ten years later.

What have been your most pleasurable moments? What has been your least pleasurable ones?

My least pleasurable were those early scenes, not necessarily in a bad way, but because I wasn't entirely comfortable yet. Some of my early scenes were so quiet, not even a peep. These days sometimes you can't shut me up. I love to dirty talk during sex.

My most pleasurable ones wow, I've had a lot. I wont name names, but the most pleasurable scenes are the ones that are with people you have chemistry with. The ones you would want to do even if the camera was not there. The ones you wake up that morning, and can't wait to get a hold of.

You are breathtaking in Girl/Girl scenes. A major reason why you excel so well in your performances is the fact that you are enjoying yourself so much with your partner. I can see it in your eyes and in your body language. You have so much chemistry with another woman that it becomes so hot. Could you tell us why it is so amazing to make love to another woman?

This is one of those things I found out by being in adult. I was curious about being with girls since my high school years, but was always too shy to make a move. Being in adult gave me the freedom to explore my girl on girl fantasies without any fear of rejection. In adult, girls are very open about whether or not they are into other girls, so you never have to worry about flirting with a girl who is not really into girls. I did it and thought, wow this feels good! I do have a lot of chemistry with women, especially in movies. I get to work with some of the most beautiful women in porn, so there is a connection there on a physical level, and I just go with it.

What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy?

Scents, the smell of a woman is intoxicating. I love how petite girls' bodies are compared to guys, and I love kissing girls everywhere. That and what is really attractive to me is when a girl is just as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside. Attitude determines everything. I love when I can tell that a girl is into me, because girls are so flirty and hard to read sometimes.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

Just how much fun I have had, and how many years of my life I have dedicated to this industry. I started out with a plan to only make five movies. Hahahahaha.

In your personal life, do you watch lesbian or any adult films?

Not really. I'd love to, but I don't have time to watch much of anything. I'm always working on something or traveling. I Feature Dance a lot, so I'm all over the country. I do appearances, shoot movies, host a radio show so you can see I'm always on the move.

You love to perform on stage in front of your fans. As a matter of fact, you were recently named Miss Exotic Dancer for November by Exotic Dancer magazine. What are the feelings that you get when you are on that stage and everyone has their eyes set on you? Could you tell us what your fans mean to you?

Second only to radio. Dancing is my favorite part of my job. I feel energetic and that kind of takes over. It's a very powerful thing. It's very sexual to have all those people looking at you and watching you undress. I love it. I love when I do my candle wax show and pour it all over my pussy lips and my tongue. The whole crowd goes nuts, all eyes are on you, and a lot of jaws hit the floor. It's my favorite show for that reason.

The fans are awesome. I have had people follow my career for years. It's amazing. I really appreciate that. Sometimes I don't get how many people are aware of me, or know who I am, then I'll go through an airport or something and someone will give me a shout out. It's wild. My true fans are the most important aspect of my career. I may not always be able to answer tweets, or emails, and I try to blog when I can, but I know they deserve more. Even though I can’t answer every email or question, I hope that they know how much they mean to me. That’s why I like feature dancing & conventions, because that’s when I get to have one on one time with them.

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you would like to work with very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

There are new people who come into the industry all the time, hot guys and gals. So there is always someone on my hit list, LOL. I’ve been pretty fortunate to work with really great directors and performers over the years.

My dream scene involves me with two guys, since I have never done that before, but I have not figured out which two guys I want. You have to make sure both of the guy’s vibe well together so the whole thing is not uncomfortable and everyone has a good time. When I shoot that, it will only be for www.annmarierios.com

How were you as a kid growing up?

I was kind of a tomboy. I played tee-ball to softball for almost seven years on co-ed teams that were mostly boys. I played second and shortstop. I also did karate, boxing, and played street hockey on my roller blades with the boys from the neighborhood. I skied in the winter with my family, water skied in the summer, and got my first quad at the age of five, and have been riding ever since. I was very athletic and didn’t spend much time doing tea parties or playing with dolls.

What are your hobbies and interests?

There are a few things I like to do on my off time. One of which is yoga. I love to do anything active, depending on what the season is. I value the time I get to spend with my childhood friends, family, and with my two pups Coco & Pebbles. Another is I'm working at becoming a "sexpert," so to speak. I've done a few seminars in which I talk to people about sex and sex tips. That has been a great experience and something I am interested in pursuing.

What's your favorite thing about having worked in the adult industry?

Being able to express my sexuality. Like I said, I was a very reserved person. Now, I feel more secure about myself sexually. I am very open sexually and have no trouble communicating what I want to my partner. Also, I get to meet a lot of really cool people and travel to fun places.

Are there any web sites or future projects that you would like to promote? What are you currently working on film wise?

I have my official website, AnnMarieRios.com. It was just nominated for an Xbiz Award for Best Pornstar Website of the Year, which I'm really happy about. I actually put a lot into it, I want it to be an exciting experience for fans. Some of them have been following me for years, and I appreciate that.
