Nikki Rhodes Interview

How many people would consider a porn star a role model? Probably not many. However, Nikki Rhodes considers herself one especially for women. It is this reason why she conducts herself with the notion "quality always outshines quantity." Once one has read her insightful interview, it will not be a surprise why Nikki embraces that noble role and why she will gain more admirers.

I have been in the industry for about 4 1/2 years. Meeting new people can be both pleasurable and un-pleasurable, but I like being able to make new friends and have the opportunity to work with them. I love playing with myself as well as others so it is a win-win situation.

How did you get into the adult industry?

I knew a few girls that were in it and they said I should try it... I did and I liked it. I'm a very sexual person so to get paid to do this and have people love me for me is awesome!! When I say loving me for me, I mean me being an all natural red head and a nerd. 

In 2009, you have received much praise for your performances in Secretary's Day 3 and Mother-Daughter Exchange Club Part 7. Your AVN Female Performer of the Year nomination is well deserved as well as being nominated for Lesbian Bridal Stories 4 for Best All-Girl Couples Sex Scene with Zoe Britton. However, more importantly, your professionalism is highly admired by directors and costars. What does all of this recognition and respect mean for your career?

It means a lot to me, more than I can say in words! To be honest, I'm just me...I'm professional to everyone I meet, always on time and well prepared or my work day, do my job to the best of my ability, etc...I know it is just a job and this is 'PORN' but I like to make quality over quantity and to have recognition for that is amazing! It is such an honor to be nominated for all of the awards especially for female performer of the year!

You are breathtaking in Boy/Girl and Girl/Girl scenes. What traits of a woman do you admire most? What makes a woman sexy? What traits of a man do you admire most? What makes a man sexy?

I love beautiful women, to be able to pleaure/play with them for a day is amazing...A woman that knows what she wants and how she wants it is a big turn on, "Just tell me how to make you cum" is what I like to say before the scene so we can get the do's and dont's out fo the way so we can enjoy ourselves.

What has been the biggest surprise for you about the adult industry?

Being able to discover myself sexually. I seriously had misconceptions about the industry before I was involved in it and I have seen many things that would prove most stereotypes right, but, to be honest, there are just as many good things about the industry as there are bad. Since I have been in the industry, I have become more comfortable with myself as a woman and I hope to share this with others that might feel insecure and need some womanly guidelines.

Are there any industry people (actors, actresses, directors, etc.) who you have not had the opportunity to work with yet and want to very badly and why? What would be your dream scene?

There are many people in this industry that I haven't had the pleasure of working with or for. Jules Jordan is one of them. I have had the pleasure of working for Jenna Haze and have met Jules, but he is one of the few that I haven't worked for. 

How were you as a kid growing up?

I was the nerdy girl that everyone made fun of...I was the red head outcast...I was the smart one that kids were only nice to when they needed answers. I was/am shy and quiet and keep to myself. I've always been told that it is the quiet ones you need to watch out for ;)

What are your hobbies and interests?

I have a few different hobbies: Disney pin trading, creating different art work (charcoals or paintings), photography, reading, movies (especially horror movies) etc.

What's your favorite thing about being an adult performer?

Being able to express myself sexually and being a role model for women...Especially red heads or others with the 'Ugly Duckling' self esteem.
