The 8th Day, Flight Attendants, 2040, and Deviance | Award Season Top Contenders

With the award nominations on their way and the end of the year best lists getting compiled we thought we'd recap some of the titles in contention for the top spots and big awards in 2009.

The 8th Day - Adam & Eve may have lost contract star Kayden Kross to Digital Playground, but they managed to get one amazing film out of her before she departs. Joined by Bree Olson, Amber Rayne, Kylie Ireland and Tori Black The 8th Day proves to be one of the big blockbuster to beat come awards time. It received XCritic's highest rating our XCritic Pick from both Dr. Jay (read his review of The 8th Day) AND Don Houston (read his review of The 8th Day).

Flight Attendants - Will Ryder has been riding high on the wave of porn parodies (a category he can be credited for igniting), but he never rests on his laurels, constantly pushing himself to higher heights he soars with Flight Attendants which got a Highly Recommended Rating from Don Houston (read his review here) and a XCritic Pick from Dr. Jay. (read his review here)

2040 - Brad Armstrong's sexy vision of the future leads off Wicked Pictures main contender come awards time. As with many of Armstrong's films 2040 works extremely well as a feature film and it worth watching for the sex, it's a tough balance that Armstrong does extremely well and it earned 2040 an XCritic Pick from both Dr. Jay (read his review) and Don Houston (read his review).

Deviance - If this year's award season had a dark horse it would be Deviance. Skinworxxx put themselves on the map (and became of huge importance to Adam & Eve) with a small production that has all the right moves. Deviance lead to Teagan going contract with Adam & Eve and after seeing this release we can't wait for more. Don Houston gave Deviance a Highly Recommended Rating (read his review).
