becomes something of an event nowadays, the latest to come being Casey Parker's California Dreamin': Collector's Edition.
The movie is essentially a showcase effort that gave Casey the impetus
to explore her new home state in a manner that all her fans will
appreciate, boning like crazy as she embraces life to its fullest with
such notables as Devon, Paulina James, and Aubrey Addams.  It was always at it's best when Casey was on the screen, be it goofing
around, boning her brains out, or just reacting to those around her so
I rated this one as Recommended for the general porn loving
audience. Fans of Casey will undoubtedly consider this to be a "must
have" volume of her exploits though I do wish she participated more in
a few of the scenes. In short, Casey Parker's California Dreamin': Collector's Edition was full of fun, frolic, and fucking; the three "F's" of porn that most
of us care about so you really can't go wrong with picking up a copy
unless you prefer porn like your grandfather used to like.

Ethan Kane
is one of those directors many people have not heard much about due to
the stylish efforts he has made for a limited number of companies
almost never getting much publicity. Love or hate his work, there is no
doubt that his artistic approach is fitting for the world of features;
admittedly a world in porn that a handful of directors and companies
dominate. While I tend to think of Adam & Eve
more as a premium sex toy company, they have made porn friendly to
women and couples for years now as well, showing a willingness to
experiment at times with the results varying accordingly. Their latest
effort in the "big leagues" of well done features is courtesy of
Ethan's magic, a stylish noir thriller called Dark City. Lest
you think this is a copycat version of a mainstream flick by the same
name, let me reassure you that it is not (Private already tried that,
to limited success) though it definitely incorporated mainstream
elements better than the company's former lead director was ever able
to do. Tommy Gunn is a detective in Los Angeles on a major case, the
intrigue piled on as he takes a case for Ava Rose as the classic
archetype gal with a hidden agenda. While I don't think Ethan's efforts
will worry Roman Polanski, I have to hand it to the guy that he did a
lot better than most of his peers would be able to given the shooting
schedule and cast (some of whom seem to have missed their calling). I
won't spoil the plot elements for those that want to see the movie but
this title cries out for a Blu-Ray version.  The director managed to demonstrate his ability to combine style with
something of more substance than I am used to from him. The visual
elements could have been put to better use and the night club lounge
act made it clear that with a better script and budget, Ethan could
probably hit a home run with a future effort. Still, the levels of
strokability, the sweet extras, and the appeal of the technical parts
of the flick were enough to warrant a rating of Recommended from me, I just wish the eye candy was backed up by a better story. In short, Dark City is the type of plotted porn that I have long associated with Adam &
Eve, enough warmth for couples and enough style to suit those of us
looking for something different.

Robby D.
is one of those curious guys that makes you wonder at times. His
ability to shoot guerrilla styled porn better than most of his peers
under a variety of circumstances that would cause mainstream directors
and independents alike to run away yet he stays in the field ratherthan makes the jump to mainstream (even his largest budgeted porn would
pale in comparison to a low budget mainstream flick). This tells me
that he likes what he's doing as opposed to the many that get into the
field because they couldn't even hack it in government work (often
referred to as the last bastion of the barely employable by those of us
in the private sector). Today's review is of his latest adventure in
the Jack's Playground series called Jack's Big Ass Show Blu-Ray, where the focus was definitely on showcasing some of the finest asses in porn. Set between Jack's Playground: 28
and volume 29, the show lacked the comedic value in most
cases of the regular series but made up for it in providing a lot more
fuck for the buck than the series tends to do these days. If you like
seeing booties shaking, gyrating, and otherwise getting into the mix,
you're going to like this one as much as I did.  It was one of those rare times when I'm glad the show coursed away from
the usual formula of a series in order to provide some serious fuck for
the buck stroking material. Most of the volumes in the series provide
closer to 90 minutes of footage and even that is split up by the
addition of the comedy bits. That makes the nearly two hours of
straight up fucking, teasing, and other sexual elements a huge bargain
since so many of the scenes were solid in terms of replay value. It
sure didn't hurt that the lovely Jana Cova represented the contract
team or that anal queens like Flower Tucci were on hand to offer up some great sex either but even the technical values seemed better than average this time.

Bang Bros
is one of the most successful internet porn companies in existence,
largely because they hit the scene at the right time, with the right
attitude, and gave fans what they wanted thanks to directors such as Preston Parker & Dirty Sanchez.
In a day and age when anything successful brings in hordes of low cost
imitators, the company has evolved to "keep it real", offering a
variety of genres on the company website. Just as more production
companies seek to capture some of the success of the internet magnates,
the reverse is also true with the Bang Bros compiling some of their
best scenes for release on DVD. One of my favorite series of theirs now
comes out with Ass Parade 16, providing a series of gals with
big booties to appeal to ass lovers like myself, the best of the batch
here a toss up between Brianna Love and Alexis Texas; two of the cutest
ladies ever to grace a booty fuck flick as far as I'm concerned.  It had some solid stroke material and replay value that could have been elevated to a rating a step up from the Recommended
I ultimately gave it if better extras or a few of the scenes had been
better. Still, the asses on parade were all rounded and ripe so no one
will argue you didn't get your money's worth this time. In short, Ass Parade 16 was best at showing off the talents of ladies like Alexis Texas and
Brianna Love but if you truly appreciate bountiful booties, give this
one a careful study.

Mason is currently known as the most talented female director at Elegant Angel
for her nasty gonzo releases. Exactly where the inspirations for her
scenes come from has never been made clear to me but I can say that the
fact that Mason makes such a limited volume of movies certainly helps
her from falling into the trap most of her peers in the industry have
been prey too; the need to churn out a set number of works to pay the
bills rather than embrace making smutty fuck flicks as Mason prefers.
Her latest release is Annette Schwarz is Slutwoman 2, the sequel to the well liked Annette Schwarz is Slutwoman 1 that caused such an uproar last year. Annette Schwarz
is the heir apparent to the throne of anal queen in porn now that
Sandra Romain has retired and Belladonna limits herself to her own
movies. Her success in the last year is largely due to the way she
enjoys the most decadent of sexual expressions in her performances,
coming from Germany and a history of outlandish fetish work overseas
helping propel her into the limelight in America.  It was definitely a showcase for the darker side of Annette Schwarz
and her fans should consider this a "must have" effort but the rough
edges and dedication to rough weakened it for my tastes so the best I
could rate it was as Recommended. The amount of fuck for the
buck, the stroke value, and replayability will widely vary depending on
how much you like seeing the German anal queen abused but I think Mason
was gearing this for a truly jaded audience more than a general porn
loving crowd so your mileage may vary considerably. In short, Annette Schwarz is Slutwoman 2 was not as good as Annette Schwarz is Slutwoman 1
in some ways unless you like seeing a gal with steep limits getting
pushed even further into decadence than usual so check this one out
with one eye open.

Instead of his usual gonzo style, or the style he uses under the
Celeste trademark, Robby D. tried to provide something of a cross between the
two and make a porno that could incorporate the best of both worlds in some of his recent titles. In
large part, I thought the style seemed to work as a change of pace but
also strengthening some of the weaker aspects of both styles in the
process. His latest movie using this evolved form of porn (I'd call it
"Celeste modified" or "alt Celeste" but technically those wouldn't fit
the bill either) is Teagan: Sexual Freak 2 Blu-Ray; a showcase
to the hot little former contract performer from Houston, TX that gave
her three scenes to impress her fans with (as well as cutie Shay Jordan in what was her company debut when this came out in standard definition). One was a short solo scene
but the others showed a domineering side to her that isn't typical and
may appeal even more to her fans.  It was a hot piece of porn for fans of Teagan but as the debut of Shay
Jordan, it went beyond my expectations. Shay has a fresh new look that
all the fans are going to be talking about and her initial performance
was top notch compared to some of her peers. Still, the other gals in
the show were also skilled and the net effect of the six scenes was to
offer up a very stroke worthy bit of fun that had the kind of intensity
and passion you've all been looking for. There were some minor rough
edges but I figured it was one I could suggest as Recommended
easily enough, nearly going up another notch in the process. I think I
would've liked to see Shay and Teagan go at one another (if not have
them give an old reviewer a mercy ride) but I'm sure we'll be seeing a
lot of them both given their sustainable sexual antics in movies such
as  Teagan: Sexual Freak 2 BR. If you'd rather have circus act
sex or abuse porn, by all means look elsewhere but for the thematic
domination provided by the ladies in the movie, you aren't likely to
find better elsewhere these days.

B. Skow has been the driving force at Vivid Entertainment
in terms of providing good looking porn in recent years; typically
bringing something unique to the mix as he enhanced the performances of
the ladies he shot for the company under so many sets of circumstances.
His latest release is a bit different in that it was a series of
lengthy scenes called Brand New Faces 6 Blu-Ray; a movie
dedicated to showcasing four lovely young ladies in their first scenes
for porn and the sequel to the extremely popular Brand New Faces titles I've enjoyed lately(including Brand New Faces 7; the best to date)
I saw recently. The porn industry is replete with gals claiming to be
in their first scenes ever but the catch this time was the cover
promising a "100% Money-Back Guarantee" that these were the first times
the ladies were on film. Be that as it may, the cover also promised
that the scenes were candid and given my experience with newcomers, I
was hoping Skow could pull a rabbit out of a hat and also make them
award winning performances.  It was worth a rating of Recommended to me for all the action, the
new faces, and the technical handling of the scenes but fans of brand
new gals will think it was a "must have" since the ladies looked and
performed their roles so well. I can't definitively state that none of
them have shot a professional scene before but unlike so many titles
that Vivid sits on for years as part of their marketing approach,  Brand New Faces 6 was rushed right to the pressing plant to jump on the newness factor
(something other companies seem to have embraced in the past as many of
you like to see "firsts", real or imagined). Whatever the reality of
the marketing claim though, all four of the cuties were breaths of
fresh air and deserve some accolades for providing enough fuck for the
buck, strokability, and replay value to make this a keeper for your
collection.  The technical improvements certainly helped balance out
the extra price charged for this Blu-Ray version though I think a "best
of" multi-disc set might have been an even better idea to add value. 
The most improvement came in the form of the visual elements this time
but it was crystal clear looking for the most part and a nice value for
fans of porn.

Digital Playground
is one of those smaller companies that focuses on quality product
rather than release a dozen titles a week like many others in the porn
industry. This allows them to craft their movies more than the assembly
line companies have the time to do. While I like many different styles
of porn, I have to admit that getting a title from the company is
usually cause for celebration in my household because even if I don't
fully appreciate what's offered, I generally find a lot to like with
what I see. The company's latest release in their erotically charged
line directed by Celeste is Devon: Decadence HD, another
showcase for the contract star that seems to have reignited her career
of late despite rumors that she was on her way out the door. The movie
takes various performers, including Devon and Jesse Jane, and offers
them up in a series of scenes designed more for couples or those not
into the droning dreck that is modern porn. Personally, I like a lot of
the dreck too but this was one of Celeste's works that managed to give
me pause for thought, not to mention wood in my pants, which should be
considered the highest praise a guy can give (especially a jaded old
porn hound like me).  It was the breakthrough movie for Celeste in terms of combining heat,
passion, and superior technical values all in a package that will
entice a lot of people not typically thought of as the usual porn
audience into watching, and more importantly, ENJOYING, the action.
Devon and Jesse Jane, as well as the other gals, were all given a
unique opportunity to shine and the overall quality of the production
was extremely high for the audience it sought to address. In short,  Devon: Decadence HD was a milestone for director Celeste as well as contract star Devon as
each proved their critics wrong about their respective talents. The
sensuality of the scenes, the creative technical matters and the skill
with which they were combined will likely stand as one of Digital
Playground's better moments in 2005. If you enjoy the listed cast here
and want a movie you can take home to watch with your girlfriend, wife
or mistress;  Devon: Decadence HD  will serve as a title you can show her without worrying about how comfortable the couch is.

After paying his dues as a contract director at Vivid Entertainment, he
moved on to a leading spot on the Digital Playground team, eventually
becoming their leading man behind the camera with numerous series and
features winning a plethora of awards and critical acclaim. Well, to
prove he could do it, he decided to show the gonzo companies (and the
rest of us) his ability to shoot the point of view style gonzo so
increasingly in favor by fans with Jack's POV 1 Blu-Ray, largely leaving behind the humor of the Playground series, the beauty contestant material of the Teen America
series, and the erotica style he shoots with Celeste in order to offer
up a straightforward gonzo POV title. Having seen a lot of such titles
in the past, I can safely say that they are not "all alike" as some
critics have claimed (although if you speed through such movies, they
probably come across that way but doesn't all porn?). As skilled as
Robby may be with his other work, that doesn't necessarily mean he'd be
able to emulate, or even innovate, in this form of expression hence the
need for this review. Thankfully, he proved to be the master of yet
another genre here, providing enough humor to differentiate his brand
from the pack but also cover the basics very nicely with a solid
selection of ladies working the meat pipe (not his mind you) in the
scenes.  The mix of established names and new, gals better equipped to handle
one form of sex over another (some were great at oral, others, vaginal
and others anal with some all around solid performers), and technical
matters handled moderately well as they were helped elevate the heat
with a very decent amount of fuck for the buck on hand to give you
superior replay value. If this is to become an ongoing series, I hope
an attempt is made to provide the very best ladies available (I
couldn't find serious fault with the selection this time) and add in a
bit more of the humor that has sustained some of the related series in
the past. To sum it all up though, Jack's POV 1 Blu-Ray showed
director Robby D. as the latest man to capably handle the point of view
craze, adding another feather in his cap for the way he handled this
one. While I wouldn't want him to focus all his efforts in this form of
gonzo in the future, it marked a nice surprise at how well he took care
of business.

Peter Rockwell than gave us a quick look at a handful of top titles starting with the Digital Sin release of Fresh Outta High School #9:  This DVD delivered what it promised - young looking girls sucking and
fucking. There really weren't any "filler" scenes, and every girl gave
a solid performance. Combine all that with good extras and above
average technical quality, and you have a DVD worth adding to your
collection. If you're a fan of teen DVDs, do yourself a favor and check
this title out;  Double Penetration Tryouts #3:  The sex on the DVD was top notch. The girls are all sexy and energetic,
they have great chemistry with their partners, and they look like
they're having fun. When you add in the value of the extras you have a
DVD that delivers plenty of fuck for your buck. Whether you're looking
for a DVD to watch with your partner or solo Double Penetration Tryouts Volume 3 should prove to be worth your time;  Naughty College School Girls #47:  Most Adult DVDs only give you, but New Sensations manages to pack six
(with the bonus) scenes in here. Because of this, it scores very high
on the "fuck for your buck" scale. Toss in the fact that the girls are
all attractive, the sex is hot, there are some good bonus features, and
you have a quality release. Any fans of college-aged girls will want to
check this one out;  and Big Tits at School #2:  I had the opportunity to view previous installment in the
series and this one blew it away. The girls are all incredibly fresh,
energetic, and most importantly know how to fuck on camera.   Big Tits at School Vol. 2 comes away with a rating of "Recommended".

Guy Incognito then had some suggestions to make, starting with Naughty Bookworms 11:  Naughty America knows how to sell the Naughty Bookworms well. It's one
of their star lines and they know how to get the hot pussy into their
videos. I wish the audio could've been kicked up in a few scenes, but
it's nothing to drag the film down. I really wanted this to be a Highly
Recommended, but it fell a smidge too short; Glory Hole Girlz #1:  Dirty D knows what works and I tend to favor his approach over the Bang
Brothers. He's got amazing camera work and he knows how to pick a girl
for the right scene. If he would just break out of his current
aesthetic and challenge himself, I would be sold on everything that the
man shoots. Until then, I'll just stick with honoring this DVD with my
highest praise; Girls Over 40 #3:  The older lady market is quite the booming business. So many young men
out there are eagerly waiting to bop their balogna to the scenes here.
It's just that you've got a mixed bag that fails a little bit more than
it should. There's always room for mistakes, but a lot of these were
simple and could've been fixed; Inseminated by 2 Black Men 14: another amazing release from Kick
Ass. You get the internal shots that you want coupled with some amazing
looking women. The bits with Violet Blue at the start needed to be
changed out and replaced with someone else. Hell, try a nine month
later follow-up. But, that would require some planning. Oh well, you're
going to like it if this floats your boat; and Public Invasion 7:  Chicks in what's supposedly a Russo-Euro country getting fucked on the
street corner. What's not to love? Well, the Bang Brothers interviewer
is starting to irritate the fuck out of me. I don't care for the voice
or the disdain for the women. But, the company knows the talent to pick
and they know how to get the work out of them.

JJ Stalker only found two titles to drop cash on but he liked them enough to sing their praises endlessly, starting with Secretary's Day #2:  a feature directed by Keven Moore with a running time well in excess of three hours.
Smash Pictures continues to cement my opinion of them as one of the
finest purveyors of filth in the Valley. The girls are hot. The sex is
hot. And even the dialog is pretty enjoyable.
Anyone who's a fan of white girls taking cock on camera should definitely check this vid out; and Straight Fucking from the folks at Hustler:  No setups. No painful dialog or bad acting. Every scene starts with the
performers naked and the sex already underway. All of the sex is
energetic. All of the girls are hot. But what really stood out for me
the most about this flick was the excellent camera work. There are a
few moments of soft focus, but the composition and pacing are excellent
throughout as is the lighting. Well done!

cast that makes it easy to overlook the fact that there's really not
much of a story here at all. Essentially Kimberly Kane plays a
'celebutante' who prowls Hollywood's seedy side with her partner in
crime, Ashley Blue, as they look to experience all that the city has to
offer them.   Young Hollywood experiments with visuals and structure but is
still firmly rooted in the formula of the traditional porno movie. This
is very much a XXX fuck film, it's simply one with a more visually odd
style and with a quirkier soundtrack. The production values are
admirable and the cast and crew all look good and play their parts
well. It's a successful endeavor when you consider that Carlos Batts is
honestly trying something different here, and he has succeeded at that.
Open minds are required, but this is an effective and fun slice of
artsy alt-porn.  Young Hollywood is an interesting and experimental XXX movie
that won't be for all tastes but which will certainly please those who
dig their pornography with a little avant garde seasoning. The art
direction and soundtrack are a little over the top but the sex scenes
are hot and unique and the picture is worth a look if you don't
necessarily want mainstream smut.

Dick Danger then gave his opinion on the marketing phenomenon of squirting in Squirt Gangbang #2:  I've had several spirited debates with people regarding the relative
virtues of squirting movies. A lot of people don't believe that it's
"real" (i.e. female ejaculate), and there are basically two arguments
for this. The first is that it's simply piss, and therefore these women

We end this week's look at the best of the batch with Felix Vasquez Jr's look at Tristan Taormino's Expert Guide to the G-Spot:  There really isn't much that Vivid Entertainment doesn't do these days,
is there? They jumped on the high definition band wagon early, remade
one of my favorite pornos of all time, and even had a mildly
entertaining reality show on Showtime (mildly, being the key word), so
I was admittedly very intrigued to see their instructional video for
clues to finding the G-Spot. 
Watching this guide is a lot like watching Indiana Jones looking for
the Lost Ark. Men have heard of it, men have talked about it, and
there's even some rumors about people finding it and stepping foot in
it, but damned if we'll ever be able to see it for ourselves one day.
Anyone really looking for a porno would be better off looking somewhere
else. When they say Instructional Video, trust me, it's an
instructional video, and one that's even a little more informative and
less scattered than Nina Hartley's series. At only an hour and
seventeen minutes (frankly, I think hours could be devoted to the
G-Spot and its myths), Expert Guide to the G-Spot is incredibly
informative and worth your time on finding that special note in your
woman's body that will make her praise the heavens.
Tristan Taormino is not only just a bonafide expert on the spot, but
she's also pretty damn hot for someone who just sits and instructs, and
she provides very interesting demonstrations with some utterly
informative chapters that first discuss the origin of the G Spot,
explains that every woman has a G Spot, and even examines that the
possibility just because you're stimulating the G Spot, doesn't mean
the woman will enjoy it.
