The heavily anticipated HD-DVD release of Operation: Desert Stormy HD was definitely one upgrade that will provide a respite from the bad news surrounding the beleaguered format as the four disc set provided a wealth of extras as well as the newly enhanced feature itself.  In it, Stormy plays an administrative assistant at the CIA who is
married to a hapless agent played by Steven St. Croix, who is thrust
into a mission to save her boss from the clutches of evil dictator
Hussein played by Ron Jeremy in another (thankfully) non-sex role. The
back cover said it like this: "As one of the largest productions to
date, this Wicked Pictures' blockbuster has it all!
Action...Romance...Drama...Suspense...and even a little big of Comedy!
Okay, a whole lot of comedy! Join award winning writer/director Stormy
Daniels as she leads you on a wild and hilarious adventure. With the
head of the CIA (Randy Spears) presumed dead and word of an impending
terrorist attack lead by the evil Hussein (Ron Jeremy), the fate of the
world rests in the hands of two unlikely and extremely unskilled
heroes. Does a secretary (Stormy Daniels) and her wannabe agent husband
(Steven St. Croix) have what it takes to put aside their numerous
marital issues and travel overseas to put an end to Hussein's quest for
total world domination...and his ridiculous get rich quick ideas? With
the help of two no-nonsense British agents Jacks and Watson, some
beautiful and horny harem girls and one ornery camel, the "heroes"
embark on a sex-crazed and explosion-filled expedition into hostile
territory. Will Operation: Desert Stormy HD be a success and our "heroes"
save the world or will we all be wearing turbans?" The awards and nominations the SD version has received so far vindicate lovely Stormy's vision; this one is worth a look! 

Casey Parker is the wonderfully appealing contract gal at Shane's World
these days, full of energy and enthusiasm like few others in the
industry seem able to muster. Well, one of her titles
that slipped by me last year finally made it into my mitts; a title called Casey Parker is BoyCrazy: Collector's Edition.
Unlike most movies released by the company, this one did not appear to
have an overall theme other than Casey getting to strut her stuff with
some of the best talent in porn, particularly Erik Everhard and Manuel
Ferrara. Given some of the anonymous comments I've read about her
online (presumably from other company's or those that can't accept
Casey's popularity), it struck me that this whole movie was her
successfully flipping them off while giving fans all that they have
been asking for; harder sex while still remaining true to her self.  It not only managed to disprove those who suggest Casey Parker
can't hold her own against top tier males in porn or that she's a cum
dodger (Erik's blast of population pudding hitting her mouth yet she
embraced it totally), but served as further proof that she is still the
lean little babe she has been for years. The extras were a bit lighter than I hoped for
and I would have liked a lengthier flick but the show was still easily
worth a Recommended or better; not to mention great for Casey's fans. In short, Casey Parker is Boy Crazy: Collector's Edition had the same kind of fun factor fuck for the buck I have come to
associate with the company and Casey so give it a look and I think
you'll find it well worth your time, money, and seed.

Currently, the company having released the most, and best, catalog of back titles on HD-DVD is Digital Playground; the company about to dominate the Bu-Ray market next.  Their latest such title is Jack's POV 2 HD; a title that minimizes the men to focus on the ladies getting all the love by the camera.  The point of view craze is perhaps best explained as an attempt to
allow the home viewer to project themselves into the action of the
moment, with minimal interruption. This helps with the fantasy and
serves as an updated version of the successful Virtual Sex Series
for them, providing more replay value as a result in most cases. The
selection of ladies this time provided plenty of diversity as well
without the need to rely on contract stars (though I always like seeing
them too) to propel the scenes.  It seemed a step up from Jack's POV 1
in terms of technical values and the ladies were all doing a bang up
job in the show. A few weren't quite ready for the level of performance
needed but four out of five of the scenes had significant replay value
for me and a level of fuck for the buck that most POV releases simply
don't offer. As such, I rated this one as Recommended, and
think many of you that are fans of the ladies in the cast will likely
think it worth even more (it came seriously close to the next level for
me and I only truly slaver over one of the gals here). In short, Jack's POV 2 HD was the kind of POV porn that most fans wish all the companies made for
the level of technical expertise and sexual skill shown throughout the
scenes. Jack keeps getting better all the time and the fans seem to
appreciate the kind of care he uses in making titles such as this one.
Look for it next month as you'll be getting a lot of replay from some
of the scenes.

Almost three decades ago, America was still recovering from the effects
of the Vietnam War (some say we still are) and anti-war movies were all
in vogue because of it. One of the best was Coming Home and ,
starring Jon Voight and Jane Fonda as they dealt with the aftermath ofhis tour of duty. The movie won numerous awards and showed some of the
downsides of military efforts around the globe. How poignant is it then
that our recent war in Iraq has impacted a number of soldiers in
similar fashion, leading to a horde of war movies that aren't quite as
cheerleader epics as those shot during Reagan's glory years when we
were all told to "get over it already?". Well, in a departure from
conventional porn features, director Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures
went all out to make their own version of a story that dealt with the
impacts of war in what is almost certain to become a heavy hitter at
award time; using the same name with Coming Home HD. Brad stars
as a military reservist that is called to active duty, goes off to
serve his country as so many heroes have before him, and through a
quirk of fate, finds himself on the wrong side of a lost relationship.  The HD treatment might not have been the best the industry has to offer at this writing but the strength of the movie lied not in the missing extras but the feature itself; the SD version getting a lot of critical praise from veterans and critics alike while showing that porn could address hardcore issues other than the hardcore sex included here.                  

Travis Knight is currently the lead director for Gina Lynn Productions
(along with Gina herself) and as his skill grows, so does the appeal of
many of his projects at the company. The latest one coming my way was
geared to the newcomer market and called Gina's Fresh Breed 4;
picking up on the themes the series addressed back when it was more
frequently released. The idea is simple enough; show a variety of
ladies new to porn wanting to break in, showing if they have the skills
needed to succeed in a business where "sucking seed" is a given. I've
never been a huge fan of such titles only because newcomers tend to be
less sexually skilled (sex is a skill, not something you are born with)
but seeing gals that might have enough potential to last in the
industry worked for years to keep Ed Powers in business so a hotty like
Gina Lynn should be able to milk it until she needs a wheelchair to get
around with.  It was not nearly as weak as most gonzo productions focusing on newcomers tend to be so I rated it as Recommended.
The technical values, the amount of replay and strokability, and the
skill of half the cast were enough to merit the rating without much
thought with the added bonus of Gina giving a very appealing solo scene
the icing on the cake. In short,  Gina's Fresh Breed 4 had
everything a guy could appreciate in a stroke flick dedicated to new
female performers and while there were still some rough edges, the lack
of polish made most of the gals look realer than normal but no less
desirable.

Dana DeArmond's Role Modeling  is kind of an alt porn version of
one of those gonzo comps that claim to show would be porn stars getting
fucked on camera for the first time. The five newcomers here, four
girls and one guy, have been 'mentored' by Dana and the five scenes
that make up this release are proof positive of her abilities as a
porno tutor. While that admittedly sounds a little ridiculous, hey,
somebody's gotta show the new kids the ropes so it might as well be
Dana.  With Dana being Dana, however, it serves to reason that there are going
to be a few talking head segments in between the sex scenes. It's no
secret that Dana likes to talk as much as she likes to fuck and here
she puts her gift for gab to good use by interviewing the five newbies
on camera for us once they've gone ahead and done the dirty deed.
Surprisingly enough, it works really well. Those who don't care about
or want to know about the personalities behind porn stars obviously
won't dig these segments at all but anyone with an interest in who
these people are should find this interesting and/or at least amusing.   Role Modeling is as much a personality piece as it is a sex film
but it works well on both levels. It serves to introduce us in a very
casual and fun way to a few newcomers while showing off their talents
on camera. It's unpretentious and quirky and it's also very sexy. Vivid
Alt has done a fine job with the presentation but most importantly, the
sex scenes hold up well.

There isn't much of a story to DCypher's  The Sweet Spot but for
those who won't use the scene selection menu to get straight to the
action, there is a fairly minute plot. Basically, there's a club
called, you guessed it, The Sweet Spot, where swinging couples
can go to indulge their respective kinks. As we learn about the club we
see, sometimes through flashbacks and sometimes through 'here and now'
footage, five well performed sex scenes.  While the plot is completely inconsequential, the five scenes in this
picture are all better than average, with the two involving Kimberly
Kane really standing out. The emphasis here is on group sex so it's
best going in if you enjoy that type of action but regardless,
everything is framed well and performers all look great and do their
jobs with some pretty sincere smiles on their faces. Nothing here
breaks any new ground but we are given a cast that is more attractive
than usual and who deliver some quality performances - as such, The Sweet Spot is a better than average effort, one worth seeking out.  The transfer certainly could have been better and the extras are
nothing to write home about but the five sex scenes that make up the
majority of  The Sweet Spot's running time are rock solid.

Fuckin' Around in South Beach struck our team as another winner thanks in large part to the efforts of director Juan Cuba.  Gonzo goes to sunny Miami Beach in this satisfying feature starring a
handful of very cute, natural girls. Director Juan Cuba wanders around
the streets of SouthBeach near his hotel, and on the wide beach below
his balcony, approaching hotties in bikinis and talking them into
coming up to his room to meet a friend. It doesn't matter that, as with
most "reality" porn, it's all been prearranged - the girls seem like
nonpro first-timers, which is the real turn-on.  Six very cute, very enthusiastic and very natural non-pornlike girls
make "Fuckin' Around in South Beach" a superior sex disc. Friendly host
Juan Cuba, though remaining off-camera and avoiding the action himself,
adds a friendly tone to the proceedings. There's enough preliminary
chit-chat to let the girls reveal some personality before getting down
to business. And down they do get (though none engages in anal). A free
second disc is included, making this package well worth the money.  We are growing quite fond of the director and if this is any indication of his evolving talents behind the camera as well as signing up the hottest babes in Florida, a lot of people are going to be very happy with him and Red Light District; the bonus disc amounting to the icing on the cake so give this one a closer look.

Reviewer Peter Rockwell found some fine selections too with titles such as Big Dick Bouncing Tits 2: Will Ryder has certainly been making a name for himself. As the director for the Beaver Hunt and Barely Legal Innocenceseries he is no stranger to the porn industry. By providing some of the
hottest young girls in the business, solid technical quality, and all
the extras (don't forget the bonus scene!) you could hope for, Bad Seed
has given you a DVD that is more than worth the purchase price;  Auto Bang Sluts 2:  I don't know what it is about the Auto Bang Sluts series but I
love them. Maybe it's because they feel so different than a typical
porn with the standard background, supermodel girls, and
post-production editing. Either way I really enjoyed this title and I
think most red-blooded males will as well. Whether you're a collector
of the series or just looking for a blind buy I recommend picking up
this title;  Mouth 2 Mouth 11 #2:  It's not often I'm really impressed by a new release, but this DVD blew
me away. The girls are all incredibly attractive, show lots of
enthusiasm, and most importantly know how to fuck on camera. Fans of
threesomes and cream pies will want to pick this one up without
hesitation;  Cheating Wives Tales #8:  Director Mario Rossi has certainly been making a name for himself. As the creator of the Cheating Wives Talesseries he is no stranger to the MILF genre. By providing some of the
hottest women in the business, solid technical quality, and all the
extras (don't forget the bonus scene!) you could hope for, New
Sensations has given you a DVD that is more than worth the purchase
price; and Squirt Hunter #6:  The sex on the DVD was top notch. The girls are all sexy and energetic,
they have great chemistry with their partners, and they look like
they're having fun. When you add in the value of the extras you have a
DVD that delivers plenty of fuck for your buck. Whether you're looking
for a DVD to watch with your partner or solo Squirt Hunter Volume 6 should prove to be worth your time.

Alexander weighed in with a few choices too such as Cousin Stevie's Pussy Party A Picks #1:  In addition to some hot solo action (with a menagerie of toys, of
course), we get almost three hours worth of: three-, four-, six-, and
eight-girl (OCHO!) orgies; a
plethora of hot chicks (namely Trinity); and tit slapping, labia
pulling, nipple twisting, squirting, clit sucking, pussy mauling,
asshole fingering, cum licking, cum (golden?) showers, toy
experimenting, spit swapping, vomit swapping (*retch*), fisting, and crotch eating.  And the chicks dig every single secondof it which is one of the main reasons why the Pussy Party series is so
appealing; the girls are into every poke, prod, and pull.  The highlights: Flower's solo bit at the 16:06 mark; the g/g (names,
Stevie, NAMES!)sequence at 43:00, and pretty much everything after the
53 minute mark when the g/g/g (and later, g/g/g/g/g/g/g/g) action
begins.  Seriously, it's tough to pull your eyes away from some of the
insanity that unfolds; and Teenstravaganza #4:  271 minutes + 12 smokin' hot girls + 11 recent well-filmed and well-edited scenes + two discs of steamy content + an $18.95 price tag = a highly recommendedDVD. Scenes three, six, eight, and nine are fucking awesome--an hour's
plus worth of Audrey Britoni, Alexis Love, and Lucy Lee is alone worth
the price of admission.  The other seven scenes are stroke-worthy and
certainly hold up to repeat viewings. And unlike many other
compilations, Digital Sin really does package together their most
recent best scenes (no half-decade old segments from tired features here). Teenstravaganza! is easily one of the best and most reliable series on the market.    

Flawless 8 seeks to draw a large crowd with fantastic performers such
as Jenna Haze, Aurora Snow, Briana Banks, Audrey Bitoni, and Leah Luv.
For the most part it's successful as the majority of these scenes are
worth the price of admission. Some artistic choices detract from the
overall enjoyment of this release but that doesn't keep down the
hotness of the action here.  Flawless 8 is anything but its namesake. The girls are great and the
action delivers to be sure but only about half of this release could be
considered truly without flaw. Strange artistic choices stand out like
sore thumbs part of the way through and it really made these scenes
more about the director's vision rather than about the sex. That's a
shame really because this is an all star cast that truly deserved their
time in the spotlight here. Overall this is a solid recommendation but
keep in mind that you're going to be getting a taste of weird along
with the good stuff.  Despite the recent production date Flawless 8 is presented with a full
frame aspect ratio which is a crying shame to be quite honest. The
action here deserved much better and aside from that disappointment the
picture quality stands out. Most scenes are free of any flaw though
some do include compression artifacts and grain. The 2.0 sound is also
a tad underwhelming but technically suitable for the material. The
volume never pitches and there is truly nothing to gripe about other
than the fact that it's not as well balanced as it could have been.
