Stoya proves Digital Playground refuses to rest on its laurels too.

I take a moment today to look at all that has been accomplished in the brief amount of time Xcritic has been around. Please don't consider this an attempt to brag or suggest we don't have lots of rough edges to work on; we accept that Xcritic is a work in progress and will remain so for a very long time. Instead, consider it a quick recap of our first steps "on our own" as we venture forth from the limitations of a largely mainstream website to provide you with what many of you have asked for over the years. One of the first things you may notice is that lovely contract hotty Stoya pictured above is a regular blogger and forum member. You can decide for yourself if you think she's the breath of fresh air by virtue of her words, her looks, or her openly blunt attitude towards enjoying her sexuality but I know I've seen enough to give her a big thumbs up as part of the team here that wants to embrace a new dynamic.

One of our favorite, if kinda busy, bloggers these days is lovely Megan Stokes; Vice President of Shane's World and all around lovable cutie. Her observations have helped us craft an experience that isn't simply dependent on a single company's favoritism and the only shame is that she doesn't post pictures of herself (yet); preferring to show us hotties like contract favorite Casey Parker instead. We're promised that after the holidays and 2008 AEE convention, she will be blogging and reviewing up a storm, as well as contributing to our forums as she has been for awhile now. Yay Megs!

Shay Jordan is another regular blogger you're going to like here.

If you like exotic women with more than a little sex appeal, you will also find lovely Shay Jordan worth checking out. Shay opens up to discuss a variety of subjects, recently talking about her birthday and how flowers may be perceived by the fairer sex; never coming across as trying to impress people so much as open an honest dialog with her fans. We are also finding her buddy Adrianna Lynn to be something special so keep paying attention and we'll get you abreast of news regarding the two gals.

Nate Glass from Hush Hush, a popular company for fans of gonzo sex, interracial action, and a lot of fun fuck flicks, has also joined us to share ideas, starting with his essay on protecting your interests when buying porn, then on political candidates friendly to porn, and upcoming ideas you will certainly find displaying his wit & wisdom.
Isn't it funny how people of this caliper gravitate towards smaller production companies these days?

David Stanley is another blogger bringing something interesting to the mix here, offering up worldly insights as only a true artist with creative vision could provide. His depth is such that I speculate whether he would have been happier as an English literature professor in a secluded college over making a brand of smut that can be at once strokable and thought-provoking over at Wicked Pictures.

Teagan Presley is another of the ladies that call Xcritic home with her participation in our forums as well as her blogging. Her new venture is set to provide some of the best work she's done to date, industry rumors swirling that she is being courted for a very special project by one of the top directors that could show she's more than just a very cute lady but a capable actress as well. Whether she accepts the proposal or not, we'll do our best to keep you updated at what could be a movie perfectly crafted to prove her acting chops (and lead to mainstream projects far more lucrative than nods like the one in Superbad).

In our forums are growing numbers of industry insiders like Jordan Septo, B. Skow, Eli Cross, and Briana Banks and many others but having seen the lurkers and discussed plans for them to more fully participate; a lot of you are going to be exceptionally happy in 2008. The range of topics is all over the place but friendly discussions abound and varying points of view brought forth; the ownership allowing plenty of room for debate but refusing to allow spoiled insiders carte blanch as the rules are applied to all equally rather than some sort of Orwellian version of "we're all equal but some are more equal than others" as you will find on other consumer forums that are considered out of touch. There will be a lot more ladies and insiders posting soon so keep an eye out.

Movies like Upload have led to contests even the "big boys" drooled over.

Again, we could measure the success of Xcritic by the participation of insiders, the contests we've had, being listed with The Floating World as well as the dedicated group of porn lovers at the IAFD, the growing legion of reviews (many of which have pictures and/or trailers), industry accolades in AVN, X-Fanz, and other major sources, or a wide variety of things but the bottom line is that we care much more about what you, the readers, have to say so join our forums, send us emails, or send smoke signals if you have to but please let us know what you want to see more of, who you want interviewed, or what changes you'd make. Ultimately, as much as we get along with the industry types, our goal is to better serve you and we have been making that our top priority so bear with us during our growing pains and you'll be rewarded many times over.
