Highlights of The
Week


Movies dedicated to blowjobs alone have been making a comeback of late
so we also embraced Face Invaders

ordered. The DVD focused on practical exercises that taught men and

manner that she will keep coming back for more rather than just a bunch
of unrelated sex scenes of dubious merit to your social developmental
training, as guided by Tristan and her trainer Justine Joli; a
recognized expert in the art of making ladies squeal with delight. Along

serves the audience well as it goes over all you need to know with some
directorial help by some of the brightest minds over at Vivid Alt. It
was another effort worth a rating of Recommended for what it was trying
to provide and how well it did just that. I would have liked a longer
series of scenes where more performers practiced what was taught and the
extras definitely needed more substance to them (why not add in some
previous scenes where the cunnilingus learned was practiced?) but the
show looked nice and offered up some invaluable advice that could
conceivably assist you in becoming a better partner in bed. If that
isn't worth a lot more than the cost of a DVD, nothing is since few
skills will get you further with ladies that don't involve cash or
illegal substances no matter what you may have read in Cosmo. In short
then, Tristan Taormino's

Expert Guide to Anal Sex before it, was a nice addition to the growing
library of quality of Vivid Ed products so check it out and see what the

Wicked
Pictures is perhaps the largest quality company in porn that still
requires condom use in their works but that rarely seems to bother fans
of movies such as Melt. David
Stanley can almost be called the X-factor at Wicked Pictures for the
types of movies he makes at the company as one of their extensive stable
of directors these days. Brad makes their best straightforward features,
Jonathan makes their quintessential comedies, Stormy covers the female
perspective nicely, and Michael tends to provide their pretty porn so
very well so David's niche is secure as the quirky one capable of
surprising even jaded old porn hounds like me. His latest release shows
him once again stretching the envelope with a quaint little feature
called Melt where she
learns to deal with the death of her husband via the soul searching
efforts she engages in with a mystic. I know it sounds pretty lame and
truth be told, I think David needed more polishing up here but it was a
cute effort that had some of the most natural sex I've seen in a porno
of late, never getting too formulaic but always managing to deliver the
admittedly basic goods. I don't want to ruin the limited plot for those
of you that see it but it was one of his better efforts and the use of
Julia and Randy as the leads worked out nicely given their acting chops.
It was not designed to satisfy the raincoater crowd and I advise those
types to stay far away from it but the couples crowd or someone new to
porn might find the action quite suitable to share with a loved one and
the story elements were handled better than expected by the cast and
crew so I rated it as Recommended. In short, Melt was the type of porno
you expect from David and Wicked Pictures; something off the beaten
track with pleasing couples engaging in various coital activities for
your mutual pleasure that shows some modest replay and stroke value you
won't be ashamed to see.

Lovely reviewer Ravyn then gave
us a look at Crescendo
2012, another David Stanley trip from Wicked Pictures. It is the
story of two close friends played by Kirsten Price and Randy Spears who
believe that December 21, 2012 will mark the end of the world as we know
it. David Stanley didn't just make that date up, its based on the
ancient Mayan calendar. With Kristen and Randy's character they bring
together a huge group of people together with David's help for an all
out orgy before the end of days. As I sat watching I realized that this
is not your typical porn and it has a wonderful cast that brings out the
best in the other. I loved the chair hanging from the ceiling which
Randy and Kristen used. The classical music used in certain scenes had
me wonder why the director chose the particular piece and had me
laughing as well. This is definitely one title that will be making my
top ten list. For those that believe that the world will end in 2012
then I guess we should all be planning that one big orgy to g literally
with one hell of a bang. Crescendo 2012 has many comical moments
especially with the choice of classical music pieces that were used. The
sex wasn't off either. Each couple did their best in making it work. For
me it was the music that distracted me from what was going on being that
I love the pieces which were chosen. I have to say this is the first
adult title that had me laughing and enjoying the music as well. For
those that are fans of the beautiful Kristen Price this is a must have

for Jules to distribute is All Internal
3, the sequel to All Internal 2; the series one where creampies
rule. For the uninitiated, a creampie is when a guy pops his load of

(it feeling better that way). Some companies shy away from them as too
risky for STD's but Jules is one of those no holes barred kind of guys

Bang Bus is now up to part 16 the popular series. If you've every

reputation. I don't know what it is about the Bang Bus series but I love
them. Maybe it's because they feel so different than typical porn with
the standard background, supermodel girls, and post-production editing.
Either way I really enjoyed this title and I think most red-blooded
males will as well.

Vivid
Entertainment has long been a leader in technological developments
to promote their wares so it should come as no surprise that they are
now the first porn company to release a top notch new release on all
three popular formats (DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray) with Debbie Does Dallas
Again (Blu-Ray). Even forgetting the mainstream reality show on
Showtime HD, the kudos the company earned for offering up the first true
Blu-Ray porno, and the obstacles of casting their yearly extravaganza
for a moment, the movie has all the elements that feature lovers
appreciate. There was a lot of sex, lots of laughs, and more than a few
winks to the original classic in this updated version. Debbie is still a
cheerleader but as in the classic mainstream title Here Comes Mr.
Jordan, she has an accident and is given a second shot at life. Her goal
to usurp the power of her cheerleading rival aside, Debbie's life
centers on winning the national cheerleading competition; a goal that
brings her back from the dead in the body of geeky Hillary Scott (at
least made to look geeky). Along the way to her goal, the members of the
squad and those she encounters have numerous sexual liaisons, ending in
a macabre orgy that revisits another classic remake from recent years
but I don't want to spoil the fun for you by divulging all the details.
Stefani Morgan fit the airhead, vengeful Debbie of the modernized
version perfectly so apart from the overacting by Penny Flame and Evan
Stone (both of whom camped it up big time), the Blu-Ray version of the
movie earned a rating of Recommended for those of you looking for a
variety of sexual encounters from the hardcore (Staci's scene) to the
lesbian outing (between Lacie and Sunny) to the arousing ending starring
the rest of the highlighted cast. Look for a Blue Room article detailing
the state of high definition porn in the future to spend some time on
this one but check out the movie if you want a lot of fuck for your
buck.

scanned deeply to find a title of merit this time with Smut Merchant:
Make Her Beg For It: Starring Bauer's wife and regular partner
Audrey Hollander as well as internet it girl Dana DeArmond, this is a
solid gonzo effort with the sort of style you'd expect from Ninn Worx
delivered with Bauer's knack for shooting raunchy, dirty hardcore sex.
The compositions look good, the encoding is fine, and the image is
always clean and clear. The Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track is very good
with plenty of tight bass response and powerful musical cues. If you've
enjoyed Otto Bauer's other Ninn Worx collaborations there's no reason
you won't find this one just as solid an effort. A great cast, super
hardcore sex and some great cinematography made this one a winner able
to stand the test of time.

You have to hand it to porn companies for naming their works like I Love My Ass.
While one might think it was an ode to Kurt Lockwood and his ego, it was
actually a pretty decent skin flick starring Cassidey and friends. Paul
Thomas has been around in porn for so long that he needs no
introduction. Love or hate his work for Vivid
Entertainment, he is one of those icons that you hear a lot about
due to the number of big budget projects he works on at the company but
some of his best titles are the smaller, more intimate looks at human
sexuality. His latest such project is I Love My Ass,
a set of four vignettes where ass play (though not always anal sex) was
prominently displayed in tease before the partners went at each other
using some chemistry and energy, providing the kind of scene the company
has been shooting for more of late. The cover said it like this: "If
you've got it, stick it out, bend it over, and spread it good. Paul
Thomas presents I Love My Ass, a tale of tail...with six hot chicks who
love their ass. Watch them discuss it. Show it off. Play with it. And
then do two scorching anals and four three-ways with it. You'll love
their ass too..." It might not have had a connecting plot, as much fuck
for the buck as the latest gonzo offering from Jules Jordan, or the high
end technical values Paul's best works have shown of late but it did
have plenty to enjoy with the cast appearing to have some fun as they
athletically worked each other over. For that and the decent extras, I
rated the DVD as Recommended though your mileage may vary if you prefer
seeing circus act, degrading sex that isn't part of Vivid's niche. In
short, I Love My Ass was a light hearted tribute to that curvy female
body part that draws our attention so readily and fans of Cassidey will
certainly want to pick up their own copy due to the replay value she
provided for them.

Namrufmot Giant Black Meat
White Treat 4: Overall I was pretty impressed by Giant's Black Meat
White Treat 4. Starring some of the hottest amateur girls you'll ever,
the action on this DVD will definitely hold up to repeated viewings.
Even without any extras I would definitely recommend you consider adding
this title to your collection, Overflowing
Assholes 4: Overall I was highly impressed with this release. The
girls were all uber-hot with playful attitudes, and none of the scenes
felt like cheap fillers. It is not a DVD that you will want to watch
with your significant other though. The action will be too rough for
most females to enjoy. Fans of cream pie titles will definitely want to
pick this one up, and everyone else should consider adding this DVD to
their collection as well. Good job Red Light; and Monsters of Cock
12: Considering they're up to the 12th installment in the series,
you know BangBros is doing something right. I found each and every scene
to be thoroughly enjoyable, with plenty of playful and energetic sex.
Had they provided more extras, I would have giving it a high rating. It
would still make for a decent purchase if you can find it on sale.

Street Ranger
2 also showed the Bang Bros to be in top form with their silly but
heated antics: JT is one of the directors best known for his works for
Bang
Bros these days. The guy is likeable and conveys a man on the prowl
sentiment fairly well without going too over the top in his works,
making him an asset at the company from the way I look at things. His
latest work is Street Ranger
2, the sequel to Street Ranger 1 that I reviewed recently. The
general idea of the scenes is to show the director helping ladies out
financially or otherwise and them rewarding him sexually (either for pay
or out of a mutual attraction). The scenes were originally released
online as part of the fabulously successful company website but are now
coming out on DVD for those of us that prefer the medium as a means of
storage. Like many of the other titles by the company, the biggest
selling point is not the technical values or the glamorous look of the
ladies but the fun factor and reality aspect that might well be faked
but give the audience a nod compared to the usual porno we might be more
familiar with. In that, this volume of the series succeeded better than
the original volume for several reasons but the technical values were
pretty mixed. It The fuck for the buck, replay and stroke value were all
such that I found Street Ranger 2 to be better than Street Ranger 1;
even if the extras sucked donkey balls and the technical values made me
wish JT would practice a lot more before going to work. Still, the
ladies of the cast were almost all physically attractive and Ashlynn
Brook gave one of her best performances to date so while I acknowledge
that this was far from perfect, it was one I will keep in my collection
of reality porn for a long time to come.

Then reviewer Addison DeLick
showed us a classic title with Body Language:
Andrew Blake, master of porno chic since his 1989 debut feature, "Night
Trips," hasn't changed is M.O. much over the years. The beautiful women
may change, but the Madison Avenue-ready technique remains largely the
same. The plotless feature "Body Language" consists of many unrelated
sex scenes that are united only by their director's singular style:
Stunning, naturally endowed women, either alone or in pairs, fondle and
finger themselves and each other, while wearing stiletto heels or high
boots or suede gloves. (With the exception of one intense scene, the
cunnilingus is tentative at best.) The ladies are photographed as if
they were in an Obsession perfume commercial of old. The film's look
changes frequently from lush, soft-focus color to grainy, overexposed
black and white. There's no dialogue and no direct sound, just the
incessant soundtrack (here by Schema) that mixes New Age, cool jazz and
heavy metal lite. In an adult universe where the crude gonzo home video
seems to have taken over completely, it's nice to see that
old-fashioned, high-end art porn is still out there.

Don gave the youth titles a nod this week too with his review of Fresh Outta High
School 5: Greg Lansky has been directing for Digital Sin awhile now,
typically focusing on youth oriented titles from what I've seen of his
work. A capable director, he still has some rough edges to iron out but
his lack of special effects and artistic weirdness is a step ahead of
those who failed out of mainstream and want to make porn something it is
not and will never be for most men. His latest release is Fresh Outta High
School 5, a series I last saw with the opening salvo of Fresh Outta
High School 1 where he and his partner Mike provided some nice action
worth checking out. The idea of the series is to showcase youthful gals
in school girl outfits having sex with men old enough to be their
fathers. The back cover said it like this: "These girls are fresh out of
high school, and they think that they're so cool. So what did we do? We
shoved a cock in their face and told them to shut the fuck up. Mackenzee
Pierce, Cassidy Essence, and Lexi Belle get fucked until their faces
turn red. While Jessica Valentino and Ashlynn Brooke get put in check
when their pussies get ripped and wrecked. So grab your pen and take
some notes, because there's just some things you can't learn in school."
It had enough replay value, strokability, and truth in advertising to
merit some serious consideration for a decent rating. The amounts of
fuck for the buck might not have been as high as with a few of the
better known series in this sub-genre but I felt it merited a
Recommended all the same and fans of really young gals with feminine
curves may even rate it higher.

Knight then gave Houston bred director Jack Venice's new title, College Amateur
Tour 2: Midwest, an approving thumb's up: Jack Venice is on a
mission. That mission? Fuck girls on film. He's got eight days to travel
the Midwest of America in an RV and bang as much tail as possible. This
is truly a man who loves his job. He's also the rare porn star that
seems like a down-to-earth guy, one you'd actually want to hang out
with, and wouldn't be jealous of. Perpetually laid back and mellow
beyond belief, he could probably fuck your girlfriend and you wouldn't
mind. Hell you might actually ask for his autograph. Part of what makes
this disc so entertaining is that it is moderately real. You see Jack
strike out, you see him goof around and you see him being himself. Of
course, that's a lot easier when you're ripped and packing a missile in
your pants, but you can't hold that against him, especially since he
shares the experience with you. You'd like to believe that the whole
thing is as real as him, but that's questionable, as you're about to
find out. If some smart cable network out there is looking for a hit
show, they should get Jack Venice in for a meeting. His roaming
good-time party, without the hardcore material, would make for a fun
documentary series. But for now, what we have here will have to do, and
it will do nicely, thanks to a couple of solid scenes and an overall fun
atmosphere. Add in one heck of a porno extra and solid quality, and you
have the kind of disc you'll get plenty of spins out of (even if you
never get past the first scene.)

For those of you wanting something off the beaten path from Tera
Patrick's label, Stimula might
fit the bill. Axel Braun needs no introduction to those who have been
following porn over the years and his body of work for various companies
has shown a willingness of the man to try a lot of new things in a day &
age when most companies take the safe route and copy each other to the
point of stagnation. Teravision picked him up to do a movie earlier this
year in the form of Stimula; a set
of five vignettes that addressed the five basic senses in an erotic
fashion. Unlike some of the other attempts by the company to provide
artistic porn, this one seemed to have the benefit of Axels' extensive
experience and willingness to do something markedly different than
normal, resulting in a movie that might not appeal to all of you but
will certainly work nicely as stroke fodder if you understand what is
going on. The cover put it like this: "Five senses. Five gorgeous girls.
Five visually enticing scenes from the twisted mind of award-winning
director Axel Braun. Sasha Grey delivers an extraordinarily inspired
performance, enhanced by the dramatic color palette and Braun's
masterful camera work, in what is bound to be an instant classic for all
the fans of hardcore erotica. Let your senses guide you in this journey
across the mysterious universe of five girls' quest for pleasure, but be
careful ... you might never want to come back." It was a stroke flick
trying for something different and succeeding more often than not so I
rated it as Recommended. The ladies were physically attractive and the
attempt to use a different sensual dynamic for each scene was
intellectually stimulating even when it did not quite pan out as it
should have but the amount of stroke and replay value was such that it
had some fair levels of fuck for the buck. In short, Stimula was a nice
change of pace that some of you will find appealing even if the limited
extras and decidedly harsh technical values will be too jarring for the
overly sensitive.

We close out with reviewer Saul Good and his
look at Cum Coat My Throat
3: Red Light District has a fresh series going. "Cum Coat My Throat"
features your typical bang scene with usually no more than one guy. And
in the end, after that guy unloads, a multitude of other men make their
way to these girl's beautiful lips. Some gals can only handle two or
three guys at a time, others order by the pint. If you like typical no
nonsense boning, but found that one or two money shots in the end wasn't
doing it for you (and those compilations are just too damn sporadic),
this series may be your new best friend. The concept of this series is
great. Sometimes a single money shot just isn't enough--especially when
it's a dud. So I hope they continue this series, which in the world of
porn seems pretty commonplace and why I'm giving it a stronger rating
than anticipated. So keep the focus on the film and the action, not on
whether viewers are beating down movie rental doors to see if the latest
volume has come out. We can wait. We don't mind. What else do we have to
do?

performers often find second careers directing films and are very
successful at it. Candida Royalle, Nina Hartley, Tristan Taormino,
Veronica Hart, just to mention a few , have all taken turns behind the
camera after successful careers as porn stars. In addition, women make
more money than male performers do and have bigger star power. As more
and more women enter the field, the content will change and women will
begin consuming porn more and more, creating a market especially for
them. In this series of articles, , you will be reading about the roles
several women play in the many aspects of the adult industry from
directing to sales and performers, Director and Producer Melissa Monet,
Adella O'Neal Publicist from Digital Playground, Director Kelly Holland,
Syren De Mer and a few other as well as several new comers to the adult
industry. I will start the series with my interview with Melissa Monet
who is currently working with Naughty America. Melissa has had her hands
in every aspect of the adult industry from her beginning when she lived
in New York.

Born in Staten Island in 1964, Melissa "Mindy" Monet went back and forth
between "normal" jobs and the sex industry. She started in 1983 as a sex
surrogate in NY, became a call girl and a NYC taxi driver. She then ran
a few escort services, (including one for a hardcore pimp), went on to
be a high class call girl before becoming a madam. She took a long
vacation when Giuliani was cleaning up the city and went to Hawaii
before coming to LA to be a porn star. She was in front of the camera
for a couple of years but started directing right away because all the
girls were a lot younger than her. She had just turned 30 and there were
no MILF scenes yet. She did everything on set, from a PA, art director,
writer, producer, director, and wardrobe. Over the years she has also
done a lot in the mainstream world. She has directed and produced titles
for theatrical release and on Cinemax and Showtime. Currently she trying
to start a company to give back to the sex industry by helping people
make the transition from porn to back to the realities of a mainstream
lifestyle and writing a book. Mindy is also finishing her script which
is based on her comic book.

Her adult career began in July of 1994, starting out as an actress she
has appeared in over 100 adult movies, DVDs and CD-ROM games. She has
had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in porn and
has proved that she can out fuck the best of them. She has starred in
many hardcore features and S&M videos that she is extremely proud of. In
the fall of 1994, she wrote, produced, and directed one of the first
CD-ROM games made specifically for the adult market which was nominated
for 5 AVN awards in 1995. She subsequently went on to write and produce
movies and CD-Rom games for the next two years before she broke into
directing on a more frequent basis. Melissa was nominated by AVN for
best screenplay for a comedy in 1997 and all of the CD-ROM games she has
written have been nominated for AVN awards. She is featured in her own
comic book Melissa Monet which has gone on to spawn a sequel, and two
spin offs. She became the first person to produce and directs movies
made exclusively for the Spice Channel. She has completed a mainstream
documentary on the people in the adult industry titled, "Porn. It's a
Living" and has directed three mainstream films currently available on
DVD.

Melissa has produced four 35mm independent feature length films and two
live pay-per-view events. Her recent AVN nominations range from scripts
to art direction, and to mention as a performer. At this time with
Naughty America, she produces 20 scenes a week on two set simultaneously
with a good crew working with her. She describes working at Naughty
America as being old school porn with new faces and old world values.
Melissa cleared up a lot of the old stereo types about porn and how
people still see the performers. From what she said its not what it
seems to be. Melissa did make it a point to let me in on the new line
from Naughty America which she will be working on from different sets.
Melissa is a very dedicated and hard working woman , who after speaking
to her for almost four hours showed me a different side to industry and
just how many good people and performers she has come across. We spoke
about her time with Playgirl and a piece she did with Director Nando
Vega that can be found on her myspace page ,
and about the performers she has enjoyed working with. We spoke about
what it takes to be a performer and how hard it is for both men and
woman. She went on to mention that there are three types of performers
out there, one that is in it just for the paycheck, one that is making a
career out if it and then you have the ones that don't belong in the
business. Which she admits to sending a few home. Melissa was kind
enough to answer a few questions about her background and her expertise
as both Director and Producer. I do hope you enjoy reading the
interview; I had a great time talking to her and look forward to meeting
her in January.

What stage name did you use when you were in front of the cameras as a
performer and At that time how many scenes did you do and who did you
work with?
Melissa Monet. Hard to say, but I did over 100 movies averaging about
two scenes a day. Not a lot by today's standards. I worked with all the
top guys at the time, but I worked a lot with Steve Drake, Alex Sanders,
Jonathan Morgan, Gerry Pike, Marc Wallice and for the girls, Tricia Yen,
Patricia Kennedy, Laura Palmer, Kym Wild (S&M), Careena Collins (S&M),
so many more.

What are you doing currently? What have you done mainstream and how big
of a difference is that from straight porn?
I'm the Unit Production Manager for Naughty America when I'm not writing
my book, starting a new website or doing something on the mainstream
side. I did a great little film called "Sex and a Girl" which was a
coming of age story, I did my own documentary "Porn, It's a Living" and
I just finished another fairly big film that I don't know what my credit
is going to be on it yet, just to name a few. It's different in the way
that I have bigger budgets, people with bigger dreams and bigger toys to
play with. Otherwise it's the same cluster fuck if not more of one with
a mainstream show. Anytime you have more people and those people only do
their specific jobs, you're bound to have a lot more on your hands. In
porn, everyone chips in no matter what you were hired to do because
there are so few of us. In addition, we work together every day and it's
almost like family here, so we have more respect for each other and the
roles we play at work then the mainstream does.

What do you feel you can give back to the sex industry?
I have a lot to offer, but mainly I want to and am trying to help the
people here move on to the next level. Whether they want to stay here or
go to the outside world, I can help them do that. But I don't want it to
just be for porn, I want to help anyone in the sex industry because it's
an easy thing to fall into, but not so easy to get out of.

As one of the many female directors today what obstacles did you have to
overcome?
It was harder 10 years ago than it is now. A girl today can easily start
her own line with a good company, but back then they only offered that
to the guys. The hardest obstacle though was trying to gain the respect
of your crew when yesterday they saw you with a cock in your mouth and
now you're trying to tell them what to do. I think that line has been
blurred over the years and no one cares anymore. Also, the crew is
younger now, more open minded, before there were a lot of the old guard
and they weren't that open to taking orders from any woman.

What have you done with Cinemax and are there any projects in the works?

I've done about 4-5 films that have been on Cinemax (you'd have to look
up the names as they are different then when I shot them). It was a
great experience, but I got a weeks pay there for what I made here
directing porn for a day. There are no future projects in the works, I
did it then to say I can do it...and I did it well, but it doesn't pay
the bills.

You mentioned "old guard" still around.. can you be a bit more specific?

Old guard can mean anything from "classic" actors/actresses to the
directors that have not changed their styles, lifestyles or opinions.

What changes can be made to better the adult industry from a women's POV
if possible?
I think that it's hard to portray women the way women should be
portrayed when you have mainly girls portraying them and men planning
the whole thing out. Do women like to have their faces slapped? Sure,
some do, and they like to be degraded and tied up too, but they like
that more in fantasy then in reality. It's pretty fucking brutal when
you see it, but I accept that it can be part of what one girl here and
there enjoys, but not the majority of them. And unless the girl having
it done to them is getting off on it, I personally don't want to watch
it, but then there's the other spectator that gets off on watching an
innocent brutalized. It's fine for the viewer, I think "different
strokes for different folks" but I don't want to see a girl truly
miserable...that's not sexy. Then you have the other end of the spectrum
where the fantasy stuff is so soft it's boring. If there were changes to
be made it would have to come from an erotic writer, a sexy director and
talent that have compatibility...but it's hard to find that, especially
when invisible people are throwing random individuals together with
writers that are writing in the dark on spec and directors that are just
collecting a pay check. As a woman, I personally am sick and tired of
seeing porn that consists of dispassionate people trying to show me
their idea of great sex.

How do you feel about having the male talent using condoms on set? Do
you think they take away from the heat of the scene?
There are only one or two male talent that are condom only, it's usually
the girl or the company that decides on condom use. No, I don't think it
takes away from the heat of the scene anymore than it does in real life.
If there's chemistry, there's chemistry, but as an industry we should be
promoting condom use.

I did some searching on Adult DVD Empire and found an old interview you
did with them, you were once a reviewer for them?
Yes, I mainly did interviews with other talent though, I didn't really
review too many movies. I did review for AVN though.

How does being the Unit Production Manager for Naughty America compare
to other things you have done?
It's a sweet gig and fairly easy. I'm surrounded by good people that are
always looking to improve the material and they take pride in what they
do, but I wouldn't compare it to any other job. I learn so much each
time I take on a new challenge, so for me it's just about being a
sponge. I've been one of the luckiest people, not just in porn, but I
truly feel blessed. I've worked for and with some of the best people in
this business (and a few clunkers too) but I'm grateful for every day I
can spend money on biscuits for my pup.

Can you tell us a bit about your book?
After being in the sex industry for 24 years I figured I can spew a few
metaphors and anecdotes that might amuse people that are still
interested in what happens on the other side of the tracks. Seriously,
it's just about what I've done and where I've been and where I want to
go. About how wonderful this business can be if you let it, and also
about how I denied who and what I was, struggling with the pressures of
society and what I thought I was supposed to be when I grew up. I would
like people to know it's okay to embrace being "different", but still be
a productive member of society; I'm proud to say I am both.

In your opinion how does porn differ today and back when you were
performing?
When I first came in, women dictated everything about the scenes they
did, who they would perform with, how much money they wanted to make,
now it's dictated (and I do mean dictated) by the agents. There were
only two agents and one manager when I first came in, they didn't take
your money, they were paid by the companies that employed you, now the
agents double dip...one from side A and one from side B. The real
problem with this is the girl's rates have not changed at all in the 10
+ years I've been here. For instance, if I made $700 a scene, that's
what I walked away with, if a girl now makes $900 a scene, after she
pays the agent a percentage and pays for her driver (because most of
them do not drive themselves), they're pretty much getting less than I
did 13 years ago...and that's just wrong. The other huge problem today
is that this industry has not internally evolved at all. Brand new girls
still have to go through trial by fire. No one tells them how to douche
or when, or how to enema, or what staph looks like, nothing. They just
send them off to get a VD/AIDS test and that's it...now mind you, that
would be fine if we weren't talking about women that have not had time
to develop their own sexuality, or had already gone to the school of
hard knocks, but they haven't. These are relatively "nice" girls that
are looking for an easy way out and this ain't it, but that doesn't mean
they should be thrown to the wolves.
