Spotlight Title: Evilution: 2 Disc Extended Set
Evil Angel has added some fine directors of late including Erik Everhard and Manuel Ferrara, two of my very favorite gonzo directors in porn in recent years. Manuel has always struck me as one of the nicest guys in porn, possessing a quiet, friendly nature that speaks volumes as to his confidence in what he does for a living. He seemed touched when I discussed my review of his blockbuster release of 2005, Mind Fuck, appreciating that someone took the time to closely look at what he was doing rather than churn out a review on an assembly line as happens in the review world much like movies are made in the industry. Well, like Erik, Manuel is now evolving his style as he makes the switch to Evil Angel, offering something rather special in the form of Evilution: 2 Disc Set; a series of vignettes that use a variety of techniques to provide some incredible replay value and great scenes that rival anything his peers have been making.
Taking women with almost universal appeal such as the beautiful newcomer Tiffany Rayne, the bubble butted hotty Naomi, and a surprising comeback by a near legend in porn in the form of Nici Sterling, Manuel provided over four hours of entertaining sex if you include the wonderful extras, marking another case of the Evil Angel Empire showing us all that more truly is more, especially when the quantity is not sacrificed for the quality of the production. This being a new teaming of director and company, it looked like no effort was spared to insure Manuel the kind of success his peers had seen at the company, with a variety of edgy sexual themes employed to provide significant stroke value for repeated sessions.
Evilution: 2 Disc Set showed Manuel Ferrara as he evolved into something more than just a director of "couch gonzo", with the scenes looking like they were shot recently rather than leftovers from previous years. The casting was superb; the amount of fuck for the buck off the scale, and the extras nicely complimented the double disc package of wonderfully perverse scenes. I especially liked how Manuel allowed the cast to fully explore their sexuality for as long as they could sustain the heat, with minimal editing to interrupt the flow of the passion shown. The length of the scenes also gave them plenty of replay value that will give the title the kind of legs most porn lacks though I'm sure those of you with quick triggers might disagree. For me, I thought the set warranted the highest rating of all as a X Critic Collector's Series pick for all it had to offer fans of hardcore sex. In short, Evilution is another step in the evolution of Evil Angel, a company already known for some of the best porn in the jizz biz, offering lots of stroke value to the masses.
Sneak Peeks: Sexual Freak and Big Tit Show 2
Once again we're back with a preview look of some fine porn before it becomes available to the masses, this time a couple of winners from infamous director Robby D. with Jack's Big Tit Show 2 and Sexual Freak. Leaving no aspect of either movie unexamined, reviewer Don Houston once again came through with the first comprehensive look at the titles published, going to great lengths to describe them in detail. Noting that Sexual Freak "is another case in point; rather than go strictly with the Celeste style of erotica he shoots, Robbie tried a fusion with his regular style, and while it may have been a bit too cautious for my tastes, it was certainly a few steps in the right direction. And will clearly be on the must have list for any fan of Jesse Jane but it showed director Robby D. trying some new directions as well (and good ones at that). The amount of fuck for the buck, the women used, and the technical values all made this one easy to suggest as Recommended or better, depending on your level of tolerance for erotica style porn. The Behind the Scenes feature was short but also very funny, making me wonder when Robby will try his hand at a full blown comedy, backed up by his usual crew of Nick and Joey, both of whom are said to be major factors in Robby's success in recent years. That said, Jesse Jane: Sexual Freak did show Jesse getting freaky and served as notice that Digital Playground is not content to sit on their laurels just yet. For strokability and fun sex, this one seems to be a winner."
Then, looking at Jack's Big Tit Show 2, Robby D.'s "latest adventure with large breasted ladies. The premise is the same; find willing gals with tig old bitties that are up to the challenge of boning like crazy on camera and Robby once again digs deep to showcase their efforts as best he can, another solid effort by the director, and the kind of large breasted beauties fans want to see. I thought the DVD warranted a rating of Recommended thanks in large part to the excellent cast, technical values, and heated performances but also for the truth in advertising displayed. In short, Jack's Big Tit Show 2 was as stroke worthy a set of scenes as you'll find in modern comedy gonzo, adding another notch to the belt of the talented director as he ascends another step up the ladder of success. Digital Playground has another winner on its hands with this one and all fans of mammoth mammaries will want a copy of their own to enjoy."
Porn Star Interviews: Nick Manning
Our recent Blue Room Spotlight on pretty boy Nick Manning was such a success that he was willing to grant our own Mistress Liss a few moments of his valuable time in order to grant an interview. Liss took the ball and ran with it, nearly running off with it in fact, but came back with this exclusive look into the mind of the notorious Nick, in the first of a series of similar interviews we have in store for you.
I know all of our female readers of The Blue Room are going to be envious because I recently got the opportunity to ask porn super-stud Nick Manning a few questions about the adult industry and his personal life. Nick Manning didn't begin his career in porn, but as a supermodel for all of the elite fashion industry.
Mistress Liss: Did you have any reservations about beginning work in the adult industry, and how did you get your start in the business?
Nick Manning (paraphrased): I don't have reservations about anything. My start in the adult industry basically fell in my lap. Vivid called me because they had seen some of the stuff I had done and said they wanted me because I would be the hottest male to ever enter the porn scene, and they were right.
Liss: How did your venture with Skye Blue into Platinum Blue Productions begin?
Nick (paraphrased): I approached Skye three or four years ago when we were dating about needing a partner to go into business with. I knew what I wanted to do in the business but at that time it didn't work out. She contacted me last year and said that she wanted to go into business with me and it's been great ever since.
Liss: You have Nick Manning Films, Nick Manning Productions, and your venture with Skye Blue in Platinum Blue Productions. You have your own line of sex toys, DVDs, you endorse an herbal supplement, and you sell your used underwear...Where do you see yourself expanding next in the adult arena?
Nick (paraphrased): I've done it all. I act, direct, and produce films. There's nothing left for me to do, but I love it.
Liss: At this point, are you looking for something more challenging or thinking about going back into mainstream projects?
Nick (paraphrased): Well I'm always looking for new projects, but in order for me to do it; they're going to have to pay me the money I'm worth. Movie stars in mainstream movies make 20 million dollars a movie, so they are going to have to fork over the dough. I'm very careful about what I attach my name to. When people hear "Nick Manning", they think money, so everyone is trying to get in on that. That's also why I'm single right now.
Liss: So are you looking to become the new Brad Pitt?
Nick (paraphrased): Is that the goal at the end of the day, to be Brad Pitt?
Liss: I don't know, you tell me.
Nick (paraphrased): Well I think success is measured in how many women you can get, and at the end of the day, nobody gets more females than I do.
Liss: You fought off a carjacker that stabbed you in the face, and ended up sending him to the hospital instead. Have you ever considered making a self defense DVD, or maybe one with a bit of a porn twist to it?
Nick (paraphrased): I never thought about it. Skye does all of the creative end work, I just want to know when to show up and who I'm fucking. I wake up, and pack my lunch. I show up on the set, lay my pipe, go home, and forget about it.
Liss: So what is a day in the life of Nick Manning like?
Nick (paraphrased): Last night I partied like only a porn star can and when I woke up this morning there were bodies everywhere. Now I'm waking up with a cup of coffee and am going to watch the Cubs game. I'll probably work out and do some physical training later.
Liss: What advice do you have for those just starting or those having thoughts of working in the adult industry?
Nick (paraphrased): Don't do it. More than half the men in this industry should be booted out because they just can't fuck well. So many of them don't take care of their bodies and they just put their dick inside a woman and twist it around and call it fucking. It's embarrassing to have to work in the same movie as some of these guys.

Highlights of The Week
Reviewer Don Houston has long been a supporter of superstar Erik Everhard so it came as no surprise that he enjoyed Innocent Until Proven Filthy, the latest blockbuster title in a long series of hits by the man, saying: "Evil Angel has seen some changes in their directorial line up over the last year, with some leaving and others jumping on board, all proving that change is inevitable in the industry; even at the largest companies. One of the most exciting developments for them is the addition of director Erik Everhard, also known as the guy in apartment 634, but a keen talent when placed on either side of a camera. His latest release is the wonderfully rich Innocent Until Proven Filthy, a selection of unreleased scenes shot between 2004 and 2005; none of which were filler scenes. The idea was to show Erik's travels as he picked up gals or provided them for friends in need, shot all over the world from the comments made. There really wasn't a specific theme other than attractive women having a great time fucking and clocking in at over four hours for the movie itself, the value here was tremendous. Innocent Until Proven Filthy was yet another great release by the X Critic Spotlight Performer/Director also known as Erik Everhard. If you enjoy hardcore gonzo sex with all sorts of variations (rather than the usual formulaic sex most companies provide), you will find this one not only a great value (with sweet levels of fuck for the buck), but full of quality women as seen on the front DVD cover. Many of you will find my rating of Highly Recommended a bit on the low end given the overall entertainment factor but it really did stand out as a great release by one of my favorite directors in porn today. There was more hardcore sex, with limited amounts of circus act sex, than almost two full gonzo releases by other companies so check this one out as a title you'll be able to stroke to for a very long time."
As new reviewer Ravyn learns the ropes, she came across a couple of worthy titles recently; Dude, Your Girlfriend Is In A Porno 2 "provides every man with the ongoing fantasy of having their girlfriend acting in a porno. We even find the typical girl next door enjoying herself as she is filmed sucking and fucking to her hearts content. After watching this DVD, I can say the two of the girls showed plenty of enthusiasm and energy as well as the men, but sometimes the scenes were just missing that special something, even though all the quality extras will hold up to repeated viewings. What also needs to be looked at is the style of lingerie these beautiful ladies used which could have been much nicer even though it was not on their bodies for long periods of time. Also, one of the actors needs to learn not to slobber on his female counterpart. Kissing is just as much as foreplay as giving head and the ladies were on the mark making sure they hit there mark in doing so", and her brief look at Professionals 10, where she pointed out that "Denis Marti assembled a gorgeous cast that delivered some very hot scenes for this volume of The ProfessiAnals. The whole thing is put together nicely."
Don then found the latest volume of the Control series, Control 3 a great bargain: "which in many ways is the volume of any series that tells you where the mindset is going to lead the rest of the series. The newness factor has worn off and the initial energy used to get the ball rolling has then been supplanted by the pure desire of the director to see what he has left to explore, with all the little tweaks made from fan responses, reviews, or industry buzz to improve the show. Robby D. has long been established as the kind of guy who listens to what fans want yet stands up to those who would critique him mercilessly on points that he has little interest in so I was sure this labor of love would be a great show, to the point where I had to go to great lengths to secure my initial copy of the movie (insider joke). What I found was another winning combination of styles where Robby fused various elements, in largely successful ways, to make something that takes on the gonzo world at its best and leads his peers to the conclusion that there really is room for innovation, despite what you may have heard by self proclaimed experts. It provided a similar, if slightly different, package of scenes from previous volumes in the series (Control 1 and Control 2 in case you weren't paying attention). The voyeurism elements were all still present as were the role playing and power exchange factors that elevated the heat so frequently in the past. The bonus scene added to the levels of fuck for the buck with a terrific cast making this another title worthy of being Highly Recommended for fans of hardcore gonzo sex. The action was not the typical cookie cutter gonzo though with plenty of other things going on to address your mind as well, without needing to rely on gimmicky special effects as others do these days. To sum it up, Robbie D.'s Control 3 is one of the most strokable releases in recent memory for all that it offers fans."
Next up was an erotic look by reviewer Goldenmuse of Burning Lust, saying: "Playgirl's Burning Lust captures the passionate recollection of past loves, whether they take the form of hot historical fantasies or confessions of collegiate trysts. Plus you get to see one very lucky chick spray a hose across the breadth and width of Jean Val Jean's flawless form. Major bonus, Ladies... PlaygirlTV continues to raise the bar for women's erotic entertainment; and it's a 'bar' my friend and partner-in-mischief Mistress Liss and I gladly sidle up to on a regular basis. And Ladies, if this particular disc doesn't elicit your own 'burning lust,' ya' might want to check for a pulse."
Crack Addict 5 by talented director Chris Streams went over well with Don who said: "is one of my favorite directors at gonzo production company 3^rd Degree for a reason; he does a fine job creating and capturing some great sex by attractive ladies in most of his DVD releases, with the kind of consistency that some of his peers only dream of. Today's review is for Crack Addict 5, the latest in the series I last saw with Crack Addict 2. The idea is to get some of the best anal gals in porn to have some fun sex after providing plenty of tease, a goal I endorse wholeheartedly. It provided some great stroke value by using Naomi, Aurora Snow, and Taryn Thomas to their fullest capacity (and the other two were solid entertainers as usual), having some decent extras to compliment the technical values, and levels of fuck for the buck. There were some rough edges but I still enjoyed it enough to rate it as Highly Recommended for fans of hardcore anal porn that don't need too much abuse or circus act sex to get off on. In fairness, Naomi's scene was one of her best to date; reminding me of some of her earlier work (she's been getting less enthusiastic of late and relying on her anal skills too much). In all, it was a great set of scenes to repeatedly enjoy."
The infamous Colonel Mustard then provided some insight into Private Black Label #43, saying: "Since my earliest memories of adult entertainment, there have always been adult spoofs of popular, mainstream movies. Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code book has broken all sorts of best selling records and with the movie adaptation coming out this summer, Private thought it would be the perfect time to spoof the movie and book. Thankfully, no body resembling Tom Hanks gets naked in Antonio Adamo's version of the movie. Private Black label set out to put together a DVD mirroring a best selling novel and soon to be very successful movie. It's a nice couple's flick and for those who've read the book or seen the movie it's entertaining to see what the director was trying to get across to the fans. Some scenes are right from the book, others fabricated to avoid copyright infringement. Still, if you like couples porn, I have to*/ /*/recommend/ this DVD. It has its flaws, maybe over directed from some people's perspective, but most of the sex was extremely hot."
Don then found favorable things to say about Lewd Conduct 27: "Chico Wang is one of those porn directors that most people seem to accept is either a secondary persona made up for porn or one truly sick individual in terms of what he likes to direct in porn. His statements towards women are nothing short of misogynistic but regardless of whether he's next on any federal "hit lists" for prosecutors to look into or not, I have to admit that he pushes the limits of the ladies as far as they are willing to go and does so in a technically superior manner to the Max Hardcore, Rob Black, Jeff Stewart type of direction for such forms of porn. His latest release is Lewd Conduct 27, a series of scenes where the ladies do all sorts of nasty things for money, most of them appearing to like it though one leaving halfway through her scene. Neither Chico nor his Minion had observable sex on camera, elevating the appeal factor substantially and that no condoms were used. started off in a manner that left me quite cold in terms of enjoyment but apparently that is the kind of scene that draws attention to the series and is a needed component in a crowded marketplace. While it was lacking for me, it may prove a highlight for others, though I'd argue that both scenes by Penny Flame were superior in terms of the dynamic created. The majority of other scenes were all good or better too so while I was on the fence about the rating (especially due to that first scene and relative lack of extras), I opted for a Highly Recommended due to the levels of fuck for the buck and variety of ladies in the scenes. Most of them were appealing on multiple levels and weren't shy about enjoying the sex while giving solid performances, even if a few of them were strictly following some kind of virtual playbook in their heads as they did so. If you like lighter forms of sex, you've probably skipped the review since Diabolic isn't a company you'd be interested in in the first place but it really was a good flick compared to what was advertised."
A busy week for Mistress Liss (see her interview) did not keep her from enjoying a couple of flicks in the form of Table For 3 "Who says, "Threes a crowd"? Seymore is having a house warming party to show off his new place, but he should rename it to a "House Fucking Party" as everywhere we look, people are grouping off in threes for a damn good time. Cutie pie Seymore knows how to throw a party...except he kicks us out in the middle of it! That's not nice! This is one of Seymore's home videos, so just know that going in. The sound fades from loud to soft, and there are many shadows, so if you're expecting studio quality, this may be slightly disappointing for you. This movie has the best of threesomes...whether you like hard and rough action from Kurt Lockwood or more seductive sex from Herschel; I recommend this one for you naughty guys and dolls" as well as Corsica Hot Sex: "Corsica is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is an island in the middle of the breathtaking blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Follow what happens as Oksana is invited to an exclusive party of debauchery. This was a great movie. I love taking "prim and proper" people and showing them the finer points of being naughty, which is exactly what our hosts do in this movie. There were also some beautiful scenes of the island as well as hot sex scenes (especially the ones with Phil Hollyday). I highly recommend this one for all you naughty guys and dolls...and the prim and proper ones too!"
Proving a cover can indeed say it all, Bang My Tasty Twat was well received by the staff who claimed: "Martin Del Toro is one of the newest contract directors at the Red Light District/Platinum X Pictures company, providing some new blood this year after spreading his wings (at making ladies spread other body parts) and moving up in the world. His work is not always consistently solid but the man is definitely a guy to keep an eye on after such titles as today's Bang My Tasty Twat. The movie is a set of hardcore gonzo scenes where the ladies follow a standard formula and give largely decent performances without the need for a lot of circus act sex. It showed that director Martin Del Toro could still provide a lot of fuck for the buck, heated performances, and a winning cast of attractive ladies without needing to impress the world that he could "out gonzo" anyone. In that sense, and due to the quality of the technical values on top of the other factors, I thought it would be fair to rate this one as Highly Recommended. Give it a look and I think you'll see why my belief that hiring a solid cast makes for the easiest method of getting the solid performances you'll see here."
Rob Randell then found a trio of Asian flavored goodies to appreciate with Tails of the Orient: "is billed as Hustler's hardcore Asian series. Truth be told, it is pretty hardcore. The level of nastiness varies from scene to scene, but for the most part they get a little nastier than most releases with lots of anal sex and sloppy blow job. I enjoyed Asian Fever Tails of the Orient a lot and it should be please any viewer who enjoys a good interracial sex scene, Black Thai Affair: "a collection of 5 sex scenes with Asian babes taking on black dudes. The interracial action offers a hardcore look at tight Asian twats and asses getting split open by well equipped black guys. Unlike some interracial releases, the action is pretty high paced with lots of hardcore fucking. If you enjoy interracial or Asian chicks, then this release is for you", and Black Dicks In Asian Chicks 2: "the second installment in an interracial release from David Luger and Red Light District Video where the female cast is made up entirely of Asians and the male cast is all black dudes. The action in this release offers some pretty cute Asian twats getting split open by well equipped black dudes. It's good stuff."
Fans of Tiffany Rayne, a past Spotlight
Michael Vega, our resident expert on all things South of the Border, gave us a heads up on a trio of titles with Sweet Latina Sluts: "a very sexy disc. With the exception of Nataly, I thought all the ladies Jim assembled were very hot and radiated a ton of heat. The effects that Jim used during two scenes were slightly annoying, but only during Luccia's scene (since I didn't care for Nataly's scene too much). Since I found myself enjoying the majority of the disc, and there are four (out of five) hot scenes, I have no problem rating this a Recommended flick", Naughty Office 3: "a smorgasbord of sex. Fan of Latinas? How's Sativa and Eva? In the mood for a sexy European chick? Check. How bout a sexy blonde? Look no further than Barbra. If that wasn't enough, all of the sex on the disc generated much heat. Naughty America still hasn't decided to included any sort of extras on the disc, but i'll forgive them since they've delivered five hot scenes. I only have one question - is this office hiring?", and Latin Spice: "a pleasant surprise for me. Sure, I figured the sex would be hot - there's Latinas in it, for crissakes. But, I was caught off-guard by George Kaplan's humorous performance as Harlan Harkelstein, an author of various "I'm Okay, You're..." novels. In addition, I found myself enjoying the music score by Los Blancos. Being used to generic rap/hip-hop music and beats, overly aggressive techno music or even cheesy instrumental music, their bluesy score was greatly appreciated and sounded as if it were played by real musicians. Cash assembled some of the hottest Latinas in the industry today and did a great job showcasing them in action while providing some of the best humor this side of Evan Stone. If I had to gripe about anything, it'd be the lack of substantial extras (the behind the scenes featurette is good, but that's all there is) and the length of the scenes is a bit on the short side. During Sativa's conversation with Harlan, she tells him "Latin women are of no comparison to any other." This disc will help show you why."
Fans of hardcore porn where the semen is gulped down with enthusiasm will appreciate Swallow The Leader 2: "it wasn't the best work I've seen out of director Chris Streams but I'm not infatuated with swallowing as a porn genre either so adjust your rating accordingly. The technical values were solid, the cast was a nice mixture of ladies, and the sex was generally fun to watch with some good replay value so I rated this one as Recommended. I know that many of you don't consider buying porn that has been out for more than a month or two unless it stars a favorite hotty you like but if you appreciate the cast at all, they did a decent job to provide some very strokable moments for me", and Down The Hatch 19: "Chico Wang is one of the leading directors of the hardcore "abuse porn" (where women are paid extra to take as much abuse as possible) that has long been a trademark of Diabolic. Whether or not you enjoy stroking off to such porn is of little concern to me, after all, we all have different kinks and it is not my place to say what should, and shouldn't get you off. I don't like slapping women nor do I get off to choking them or otherwise pushing their limits with domination tricks since I'm secure with who I am. That said, Chico makes some interestingly perverse material that some can't stomach, much of it handled better (on a technical level at least) than releases by his peers in the field. The cover was accurate and the ladies seemed to be enjoying the action on some level in almost all cases, satisfying whatever deep, dark needs they have developed in their relatively short lives. If you like truly twisted abuse porn, you can't find much better than this in terms of technical values, youthful women, and energetic action. It is not going to be for everyone and those who prefer the lighter forms of sex found in porn should run away from it. Director Chico Wang makes no apologies for catering to the hardcore loyalist fan of Diabolic and not the fair weather fans that routinely buy titles from companies that skirt the fringes of gonzo by offering up relatively vanilla sex. While you can still find harsher sex on DVD, I have yet to see a better value (this one ran almost three and a half hours with decent technical values) on the edgier material it provides. Personally, I limit my exposure to rough sex since it can make a guy jaded but the DVD will be one I can say is Recommended for the rough sex lovers out there as prime stroke material. All others need not apply but this has long been the case with titles by Diabolic Digital, no matter what you may have heard elsewhere."
Not much is known about one of our newest reviewers, Cybernetic Ghost, except that he shares a passion for porn rivaling that of a great many fans. He found several titles worthy of consideration recently with Hustler's History of Porn: "a parody of David Cronenberg's great movie "A History of Violence". Now granted that movie did have a pretty hot sex scene in it featuring Maria Bello, but I didn't think it was really ripe for the porn parody treatment. But it's a pretty successful flick overall. Overall, what we have here is a solid sex parody with some hot scenes and a really amazing stand out scene from Flower Tucci. There was no girl girl, and not a ton of anal (aside from the DP at the start). I would have liked to have seen Brooke Haven in more than just the one scene (as good as it was) as she's the star of the flick. This movie starts with a bang, gets better up to a huge peak with Flower's scene and then trails off for the end. This is about as solid a porn flick as you could want", Taken: "a full-length features worth of plot smashed together with a full-length feature of hot sex, we get a movie that clocks in at over two hours. But essentially what we have here is a story of a woman whose fiancé disappears and how she deals with the aftermath. This is a perfect Couples feature. Again, this movie isn't the greatest adult film I've ever seen, but it's successful. I'd highly recommend this to couples or to guys who are trying to test the porn waters with a girlfriend", and I Love Jewel: "a compilation of 10 of Jewel's best scenes from over the years. Generally people who aren't already fans of a girl aren't going to be buying a compilation of her scenes, so this one is HIGHLY Recommended to fans of Jewel. On June 14, 2006, I had the pleasure of interviewing Dean, a performer, for Straight College Men. Ironically enough Straight College Men makes a cardboard standee for store promotion of SCM. When I told him, he offered to sign it and meet up at the next adult show. He then answered a few of my questions.
Q: Are you gay, straight or bi?
A: Straight all the way...(at least my girlfriend hopes so)!
Q: That brings me right into my next question, how does your girlfriend feel about you doing gay porn?
A: My girlfriend is completely fine with it. We both believe that it's not what you do that defines you. It's just a job. She's very open-minded, as long as it pays the bills.
