Highlights of The Week

While artistic porn is not always in the limelight, it has a tendency to sell and rent far beyond the limited 60 day window that most porn is designed to last which is why we open up this week's highlights section with the latest Celeste directed movie, Porcelain.
Designed to showcase the lovely Jana Cova, Digital Playground's latest contract hotty, the star studded cast is one of the strongest in recent months for the kind of eye pleasing, prick pumping, erotica that couples new to porn can enjoy together. There was no circus act sex to contend with, the vignettes all appeared to be made for those who actually watch porn, and Jana was the put on display in five separate scenes. The downside for some will be that she stuck to lesbian and solo sex, likely in an attempt to pace her rise to porn glory, but even her critics are noticing the levels of beauty and energy she brings with her to her work.

Next up we have a group of titles all designed with the female in mind, largely concentrating on our own Playgirl Posse members but including our porn historian too. Starting off with a little lesbian action in Girls Hunting Girls 7, where the cast seemed intent on proving that three's company, Mistress Liss used her powers of deductive reasoning to figure out the ladies, especially Shy Love, were all in top form when it came to knowing what each other wanted. We then noticed that a historical novelty was re-released with Femmes On Fire, reportedly the first lesbian flick shot entirely in Paris France, provided some historical context to the porn standard lesbian feature as the big budget allowed director Henri Pachard to go further than any man had gone before back in the days when budgets were less of an issue. Liss then showed how the latest in the Private Life series, The Private Life of Judith Fox, offered up 5 hours of fun and frolic for fans of the capable young performer. That brought us to Snapshot, a show where the emphasis on the men who pleasure women made reviewer Goldenmuse a little hot to trot as she appreciated the kind of care Lennox Films/Pulse Distribution put into their latest, perhaps greatest, movie of the year. We then look back at the blasts from the past yet again to see the collector's edition of Taboo 5, the thematic continuation of the series where younger men are seduced by older, more experienced women is given the royalty treatment; and Private
Teacher, yet another movie that explored those themes, included the founder of the genre, Kay Parker, as one of the leads.

Having looked at some of the lesbian antics and stylish offerings from the competition, we then found two titles that provides equal glimpses into modern feature porn with Watching
Samantha and But I'm With The Band. In Watching Samantha, Stormy Daniels plays the lead in an erotic thriller designed to keep you on the edge of your very wet seat as she found herself with the creepy suspicion that she was being stalked. No one believes her however and the evidence seems to point to a breakdown more than anyone trying to cause her harm. Is she crazy or in serious trouble? You'll have to see the movie to find out for sure in this wonderfully crafted release from director Michael Raven. On the other hand, former contract hotty Keri Sable is joined by a number of great performers as she plays the ultimate groupie in But I'm With The Band. As the original "I'll do anything" girl, she sucks and fucks her way through a procession of men and women in her quest to hook up with the members of the rock band The Wicked Ones. The sex and story were fine but it should also be noted that there were three original songs made for the movie, song by musician Barrett Blade himself, a rarity in modern porn.

While there might've been some ethnic diversity in a few of the above titles, that was the exception rather than the rule so we decided to showcase some of the darker aspects of porn this time with Lexington "Hard As" Steele, Freak Nasty 2, and Lil Lo's Ghetto Fabulous, up next. In Lexington's release by director Joey Silvera, he was presented in a compilation of some of his best interracial work from the vaults of Silvera's twisted mind. The fact that Belladonna was in one of her first scenes, Jennifer Luv in what might have been her first outing, and other fine hotties all ready to work with the Dark Prince of porn, should not be taken lightly since his manhood looked nearly as big as their wrists in some cases, and virtually always larger than they thought possible to handle. In Freak, the attention was given to the sisters with those curvy butts you all like to see bouncing and jiggling about, showing that the cast understood the saying "once you go black…" with over two hours of booty on display. Lastly, in Ghetto Fabulous, Ninn Worx showed once more that they weren't all about lily white productions and artsy fartsy effects as they showcased women from all backgrounds getting the black pipe hard.

Now if the above were a bit much for you but you still wanted to see some playful hotties having fun, you might enjoy watching Time For Briana, a series of vignettes starring her and a number of other talented gals like Lanny Barby, as they enjoyed scenes from past lives with some talented studs. While the underlying theme was time, the casting was exceptional and director Chi Chi LaRue seemed to know how to bring out the best from everyone. On the other hand, the long awaited comeback of Nikita Denise in Club Jenna's Nikita's Extreme Idols was pretty good too with the movie being a parody of the American Idol television show, right down to the mean judge played by old man Herschel Savage making Simon-esque comments about some of the best sex he's ever seen. Both movies catered to the Vivid/Club Jenna audience rather well, with the standard packages of extras for each outing on display.

As we try to provide each week, there were also some fine offerings that centered their attention on the greatest asses of our time, whether they did anal or simply used their moneymakers to coax out our loads. We start with the admittedly twisted Triumph of the Tushy! where director Thomas Zupko seemed all too willing to explore his goofy side before letting us all in on a series of fantastic anal romps (featuring gals like Katja Kassin, Flower Tucci, Lucious Lopez, Tyla Wynn, and Georgia Peach as they went all out to display why they are the top performers in the backdoor biz). Then director Dawayne Dane showed us White Bubble Butt Sluts where some talented ladies on the rise did the same to the tents in our pants as they followed the formula far too well. Justin Slayer's volume of bootilicious fun involved a group of MILFs with ample samples in Big Booty Moms, and newcomer Yani Z took over the Anabolic series with Balls Deep 9 showing some of the less appreciated tail in the porn business trying hard to get noticed. In all, the backdoor was exposed very nicely with these four titles providing a diverse set of scenes from a host of hotties ready, willing, and able to turn up the heat for viewers.

The next five titles show the world that creampies are on the rise as men were allowed to pop inside their partners as most of us like to do in real life. There was also a related title where cumswapping was in order but the focus here is on how some of the nastier pornos like dealing with semen in an open and upfront manner, starting with Vouyer Media's second release, Make Me Creamy. What made this the best of the batch was the sheer volume and quality of the material, using a wide range of nut loving babes doing feats we only wish we could get in on and offering up nearly four hours of sexual content. Seconds, Axel Braun's Cream Pie Eruption, Bobby Manila'sPass the Crème 2, and David Luger's Don't Pull Out 2, were all in contention for the title with some appealing to skill, others to youth, and still others to experience. Last up we take a look at the remaining picks of the week. Each catered to a specific niche but the bottom line is that they all were truthful in how they were advertised, providing the kind of action listed on their box covers. Spotlight Performer: Evan Stone
While we spend the majority of our columns addressing the ladies of porn, the men are just as important in the roles they play. Adult Toy Review: Clone A Willy - Make Your Own Dildo Kit


The ability to clone a body part sounds as if it's something only scientists in a fancy lab can accomplish, but thanks to modern technology you can harness this power in the safety of your own bedroom. The folks at Empire Labs put together a nice little kit that allows any man to "clone" his schlong in rubber. The Clone A Willy kit has to be one the strangest and most unique sex toys I've ever seen â€" that's why I simply had to try it out The directions say it's safe, easy, and lots of fun, but is it?

The first thing that impressed me when I opened the box was its unusual packaging. All the contents come nicely bundled in a large plastic bucket (think KFC's chicken bucket). Inside are all the, powders, chemicals, plastic tubes, and thermometers you'll need (Empire Labs also offers a vibrating version). Once I emptied the various items out of the bucket, I sat down and read the directions three times in order to make sure I fully understood them. The directions are incredibly clear, and confident nothing would go horribly wrong I began the operation. 1) Fill the tube with the powder â€" Done. 2)Fill another tube with water â€" Done. 3) Let it sit exactly 3 1/2 minutes â€" Done. 4) Pour solution into plastic tube â€" Done. All the prep work is done and now it's showtime.

This is where things get a little tricky. As I mentioned above you only have 3 1/2 minutes (when the solution is setting up) into which to get your meat stick ready to be plunged into the solution. It's a little awkward to try and get a massive boner in such little time. The directions recommend having someone around to help you get hard, but I wanted this to be a surprise for my wife so that was not possible. So with a little elbow grease I was able to work myself up enough to where I'd be satisfied with the finished product. I made the big plunge and held my schlong is the solution for the required 60 seconds â€" not my most memorable minute on earth. The newly created mold is ready to use in a matter of minutes, but for optimal results you can/should wait 24 hours (which I did).

The next day I poured the rubber mixture into the mold and waiting the required time. You pull out the newly created dildo and you're done. I can confess that holding an exact copy of your own junk is a surreal experience to say the least. Now I'm sure you're wondering about the quality; rest assured it's excellent. Every ripple, vein, and crease are gloriously reproduced in safe synthetic rubber. And if you're wondering how well the dildo actually functions, well that's between me and the missus.

Overall I was very satisfied by this product. It doesn't exactly what you'd expect â€" something many products fail to deliver upon. The only warning I would give is do not buy this if you're a guy who is "small of stature". The idea of handing your lover a dildo the size of a wet noodle is far from appealing.

Mistress Liss' Perspective

For this edition of "Behind the Pink Door," Goldenmuse's epic, butt-kicking tribute to the history of femme porn, I'm turning the floor over to Mistress Liss; my friend, sister X Critic reviewer, and an ambassador of the Playgirl Posse. Here goes:

When thinking back on the movies and female stars of porn from the 1970's to present day, I can't help but be reminded of those 1980's Virginia Slims advertisements that state, "You've Come A Long Way, Baby". I also think that while we've made progress, there are still a lot of things as a woman we can look forward to from the porn industry. They are hearing our voices, and beginning to meet our demands, thanks to the "pioneers" of porn.

The first time I had ever heard the term Porn Star was as a young child. I remember looking through my parent's vinyl albums in the early 1980's (Am I showing my age here?) and asked my mom to play one of them.
It was a compilation album, and one of the songs on the album was titled More, More, More by The Andrea True Connection. I remember my dad storming into the room saying, "Don't let her listen to that…the singer is a porn star". As a kid, a Hollywood star was a Hollywood star.
Because I wasn't supposed to hear that, I found myself wanting to listen to that song, well, More, More, More.

A few years had past, and I forgot about The Andrea True Connection. I traded my parents' music for my own. (My dad did not like Darling Nikki by Prince any better than he had liked More, More,
More) I still found myself wondering what a porn star was, and it didn't take me long to find out. There was some sort of party I was forced to go to with my parents, and there were some older boys there.
(Older boys are still a favorite of Mistress Liss) They were talking about "Debbie" and how much they loved her. I was crushed because I thought they had a girlfriend. Putting my fears aside, I asked them who "Debbie" was. One of them asked me if I really wanted to know. Once I told him I did, he led me to the basement and started the tape in the VCR that was playing, Debbie Does Dallas. He thought I would be mortified by watching the tape, but instead, I found myself very interested in the movie. We sat there and watched the movie by ourselves, holding hands. Little did I know, "Debbie" would open a whole new door for me.

The rest of my childhood, was fairly normal, except that I had an overwhelming desire to know more about sex. My best friend growing up, Stephanie, endured many sleepovers having to watch porn with me.
Luckily, I had very easy access to a drawer full of porno tapes and a huge stack of Playboy's in the basement. I remember watching a Marilyn Chambers' movie, My Therapist and was fascinated with her. She was in control of her own sexuality, and was helping others to gain control of theirs as well. Perhaps it was her aura or just her terrific "on-camera" chemistry, but her films gave me the courage to seek out my own sexual liberation, and not to give into any preconceived notion that sex is wrong, shameful, or dirty. I was no longer afraid to be called a "slut" or any other name, and thus my personal sexual revolution began.

There was one thing that was becoming clear as the years passed. Women were becoming empowered. We were shattering the illusions of the past that said women should be offended by sex. We are just as human as men, and have sexual wants and needs. Why should we deny them? The leaders in the adult entertainment industry are really beginning to listen to women. They want to know what we want and are beginning to give it to us.

A huge contributor in this quest has been Playgirl. Let me just say up-front that I am a very proud member of the Playgirl Posse. The Playgirl Posse is the place to be if you are interested in learning more about the hunky men in their magazines and videos. I also want to say that the Posse is open to both sexes, and a man does not have to be a homosexual in order to appreciate Playgirl, or to be a highly valued member of the Playgirl Posse.

I told a few close female friends about the DVD and they encouraged me to have a "Girls' Night In" where everyone would bring a dish and we would watch the DVD. Is there a better excuse in the world to get together with your closest girlfriends?

The next release in the Playgirl DVD lineup is called Burning
Lust. It is available for sale at better outlets everywhere, including, X Critic's exclusive adult affiliate, Adult DVD Empire.
I personally have not gotten my hands on this DVD, but am definitely looking forward to seeing it. I may just make the "Girls' Night In" a monthly thing at my house. I can't think of a better way to encourage female bonding than to get a few of your closest girlfriends, good food, delicious wine, and hunks on the TV.

Thanks to pioneers like Andrea True, Bambi, that plays "Debbie", Marilyn Chambers, and countless others, they have taught us that porn is not about exploiting women. Porn is just as enjoyable for women as it is for men. I still think there are miles to travel on this path of sexual enlightenment, but at least we're headed in the right direction.

Overlooked Titles

One thing that can be said about director Michael Ninn is that he sure doesn't try to make porn the old fashioned way. Shooting in an artistic style and capturing the quality on anamorphic widescreen releases, the man is something of a legend in the couples crowd as he shows that even the nastiest, hottest performers can be stylized to the point where their whole act becomes new. This allows their fanbase to enjoy a whole new side of them without the need for reinventing the wheel it is said but also attracts new fans by the droves. About a year ago, he released Neo
Pornographia; a three hour homage to women that many in the porn world had previously written off as extreme queens that were only good for the circus act sex crowds. Needless to say, Ninn has gone on to providing even better works since then but this stands out as a tribute to vision and craft over the assembly line gonzo factories that so many fans have found lacking in terms of creativity.

Megan seemed to appreciate the wonders of manly men in Erection
Services where she said: "Imagine men that pay attention only to you, desire only you, men who have intense passion for only you. Never spend another evening alone. And throughout the sex scenes, the camera focuses primarily on the male bodies -- to delightful effect, if you ask me. I feel that Erection Services is a must-see for any female adult film viewer."

The Dude said the following about one of last year's most anticipated Jenna Jameson releases, Last Girl Standing, by giving us the ultra quick take and telling us that it was "a great effort", that "the sex in the film is good" and that it starred seven of Vivid's crème of the crop performers from the time it was shot way back in 2003. Jenna was joined by the likes of Briana Banks, Sunrise Adams, Kira Kenner, Savanna Samson, Tawny Roberts, and Mercedez so you have to expect that none of them had enough screentime.

If seeing the gals of Vivid Entertainment isn't your style, perhaps a walk on the wild side with director Skeeter Kerkove would be more to your liking with his hit last year, Girls of Sodom, which starred a great cast led by cover gal Katja Kassin in some of the most perverse anal action shot by the admittedly weird director. Metro Interactive isn't the first company most think of when it comes to heated anal hijinx in porn but they had a rather lengthy run of quality there for awhile, with Skeeter and fellow director Pat Myne churning out the hits. If you enjoy the tease, ass play, and fetish outfits the director likes the women to provide, you'll certainly appreciate the amount of fine performances seen in the movie.

Another title overlooked by the masses was Teen Gang Bang Tryouts, a movie reviewed by Namrufmot where he pointed out that the theme was consistent: "young looking girls taking on 4 guys in a gangbang" with "an insane amount of action". What some liked about the review was how he skipped the formalities and just got right down to business of telling it like it was, showing that the ladies were the kind of quality gals you'd hope to meet in a Las Vegas brothel.

Our last look at overlooked titles this week is brought to us by Rob Randell as he explored the large breasted babes of Busty Beauties 15. He told us that "It's great for fans of big titted hotties." And how "I still enjoy getting to watch several sexy big breasted babes get into action and this latest installment delivers plenty of it!" with some candid shots of the ladies before their scenes began. The cast included Katie Morgan, Lexi Lamour, Lexi Marie, Brooke Haven, Vanessa Lane, and Harmony Rose so you have an idea of the kind of quality I'm talking about.

Upcoming Titles

Fresh off of hits like But I'm With The Band and Curse Eternal, the lovely Jessica Drake is back in Creme
Brulee, where it was described as "A budding artist (jessica drake) leaves her lover behind in search of herself. A mentor helps her identify more than just her artistic side as she discovers new love and life in the big city." Director David Stanley excels at making the smaller features so we have a lot of hope that this one will offer a lot of the talented contract starlet. The advertised audio commentary alone should make it worth checking out but Jessica continues to impress us as the kind of lady porn could use more of so we'll give you a glimpse as soon as we can.

We also think that Mistress Liss should be able to identify with VCA's The
Devil Made Me Do It, given her propensity to attempt foam wrestling matches with those twice her size in a movie described as "Sexy, innocent girls turn bad after admitting to Satan that they have carnal urges. Their ripe, tight bodies turn to the sinful pleasures of anal cramming, double penetrations, cream pies, steaming facials and other decadent pleasures!" Lacie Heart as an angel and Jasmine Byrne as a devil seems somehow all too appropriate in this movie directed by Rick Davis.

While we're discussing the darker side of porn, we would be remiss if we didn't point out that everyone's favorite punk rocker-turned-director, Rob Rotten, has continued to offer something way off the beaten track with Porn
of the Dead, a movie that advertises with: "Porn of the Dead is a full hardcore adult zombie movie featuring an all death metal soundtrack. Includes songs by Impaled, Deicide, Exmortem, Decapitated, Gorerotted and Blood Red Thrown." If you like the musical aspect but are a bit of a tree hugger at heart, don't worry, I'm told that no zombies were harmed in the making of this movie."

For those booty bandits that have enjoyed our focus on newcomer Naomi of late, you'll be happy to know that she not only had a scene but also scored the front DVD cover in Assault
That Ass 8 by director Jake Malone for Red Light District. Next up is Adam & Eve's Carmen
& Austyn, where contract hotties Carmen Luvana and Austyn Moore (well, technically, she just left them) show the wonders of lesbian love. There were also some surprises in the cast but the advertising
said: "Best friends with benefits! Enjoy sexy Carmen Luvana and tasty Austyn Moore as they get frisky with each other and a few of their friends in some super hot girl-on-girl action." So I have no doubt that the ladies will be bringing a smile to your faces and a bulge to your crotches if early reports from the set hold true.

We end this look at upcoming titles to be reviewed with a look at VCA's Barrio
Booty where the Latinas looked great (especially cover gal Marquetta
Jewel) and the cover told us that "Dirty Joe hunts in the hood for some of the hottest Latina booty he can find for his boys. He does the findin', they do the fuckin' and as long his momma don't catch 'em, all is good in the hood!" Lend X Critic A Hand - Review Adult DVDs
