Reviews 101: Pt 4: The Terminology

As a general rule of thumb, most of our porn reviews try to shy away from using too many buzz words that only a limited number of true perverts would understand but at the same time, they often rely on some basic language used to convey specific positions, sex acts, and types of movie. This allows the reader to quickly know if a DVD is going to suit his needs quickly and not force you to read every line of a review to make up your mind. For example, looking at the review to Jenna's Depraved, a glimpse of the initial headers will show you that the DVD is a compilation of Jenna Jameson scenes from the vaults of Wicked Pictures. If you hate her past work, you won't need to bother reading the review any further. At the same time, Cameltoe Perversions 3, might not give you the information you need if you're unaware that a cameltoe is when the fabric of a woman's outfit rides up her crotch; the point being to assist you in finding whatever type of sexual activity you desire.

It can be difficult knowing what you will get with a title like Blush, though the artistic cover might reveal some minor clues as to what you are in for though fans of Briana Banks would spot her attractive face a mile off. There are others that come to mind, vignette meaning the equivalent of the loops fans used to watch before home video came into being with the scenes being unrelated to one another, typically shot on separate days.

The terms used inside the scenes tend towards the descriptive as well with ATM meaning ass to mouth (where a penis or toy goes straight from penetrating an ass to being sucked clean orally and PTM the same but coming from a pussy. Positions like missionary meaning the couple facing one another as the man bones away on her as she typically lays on her back or doggy where the man enters from behind as she bends over. We took another look at Eon McKai's epic Neu Wave Hookers: Collector Edition this week in order to see if another look might reveal any more secrets from the self proclaimed leader of alt porn. The biggest selling point, aside from some fine extras that included an edited version of the original New Wave Hooker this one paid tribute to, was the cast of lean gals with a certain look guaranteed to appeal to a younger set. Don found the music track to be several notches above average and the amount of distain for the type of porn the rest of the industry pumps out in great volumes to be rather plentiful but this was definitely not the kind of porn your father watched so many years ago. The movie has become something of a lightning rod for fans and critics alike with a sharp dividing line between those who love it and those who hate it, making it well worth looking into regardless of the technical merits of the movie.

Anal sex is the de facto standard of modern porn so it should come as no surprise that this week has some back door offerings worthy of your discriminating eye. One of the weaker titles was Jenna's Depraved, where world renowned performer Jenna Jameson was featured in this compilation of her anal scenes. Some of them showed Jenna with women partners and others proved she could assist her friends getting the real deal but the fact is that this was Jenna at her most twisted from her contract years at Wicked Pictures and merits a footnote due to her popularity. While each of you probably prefers certain performers, directors, or presentations, there is little doubt that there was truly something for everything here.

While porn focusing on body parts has a tendency to be made for men, women often look for romance and the kindler, gentler approach so those of you looking for a special movie to rev up the engine of your significant other would do well to turn your gaze to The Contractor and Ranch House Lust. In Adam & Eve's The Contractor, Carmen Luvana heads up a cast of cuties that show how empowered women tend to want more sex as they deal with horny men willing to go to any lengths to please their needs and building inspectors will to cut side deals to approve projects. Look for this one at awards time to pick up a few nods given the way it shows a sense of style that both genders can appreciate. Fans of Carmen will also find I Love Carmen worth checking out since it provides a lot of scenes from the Digital Sin vaults shot long before she left the company for Adam & Eve. On the other hand, fans of cowboy romance involving members of the opposite sex (unlike certain Oscar nominees), will find Ranch House Lust worth checking out as the pairings show that cowpokes are the best at porn poking; a fact those of us in Texas already know.

We didn't see many titles this week focusing on this fetish but a couple did get the nod from reviewer Rob Randell; Big Titty Woman 2 and Big Titty Woman 3. VCA and director Martin Del Toro went out of their way to seek out the best breasts in the west to offer up a lot of titty fucking pleasure for the viewer at home to appreciate. When you have performers like Eve Lawrence, Trina Michaels, Shay Sights and plenty of others to rub up against, how can you go wrong?

One of the things we have observed in recent years is that director Robby D. is a man with a plan worth keeping an eye on. His latest ode to youthful beauty in the form of teenage beauty contestants willing to do anything to win the title is Teen America: Mission 12. Nearly two hours of gonzo action tempered only slightly by some comedic bits, was enough to properly showcase stars like Gigi, Jenaveve Jolie, Jamie Elle, and others with a distinctive leaning toward youth and submissive personalities. If you want vanilla sex, look elsewhere but the fetish appeal and kink offered up in this volume of the extremely popular series was well worth your time, money, and semen.

Red Light District has long been a leader in quality fuck-for-the-buck gonzo porn and aside from numerous other titles this week worth checking out were a couple that addressed different audiences with similar casts. In Fuck Dolls 6, director Jake Malone pushed numerous gals, like Tiffany Rayne, to their sexual limits with the hardcore abuse reminiscent of guys like Max Hardcore. Don said it might not have been "perfect in all ways but it had enough strengths to warrant a rating of Recommended if you aren't overly picky. Carmen's scenes will appease her fans and Hailey Paige could easily become a big name in porn if handled properly so the passion, the energy, and the chemistry she showed in her many scenes might be enough for those of you not needing circus act sex to pick this one up."

Rob found over two hours of sex provided by Jewel DeNyle in Sinful Asians 4 "In Jewel DeNyle's latest installment in the Sinful Asian series, some very hot Asian gals are setup with some guys for good old fashion sex.
