Highlights of The Week

We start out the week's recap of top rated titles with Teen America #8, the latest in a long line of successful gonzo hits from director Robby D. Unlike most porn, the show is shot in anamorphic widescreen and showcases a bevy of beauties each volume as they try to win a mythical beauty contest. This month's volume had such hotties as Eva Angelina, Gia Paloma, and Melissa Lauren put to rest the idea that Digital Playground makes only couples flicks as they engaged in some pretty hardcore, no-condoms, action. Reviewer Don Houston likes to think of it as the Jack's Playground series on steroids if that helps you understand it better.

This week seemed to have a lot of titles that centered on male ejaculate but that's nothing new in a business driven by the need of men for stroke material. The titles included hits that focused on very youthful ladies engaging in ball milking behavior in such titles as Cum Stained Casting Couch #3 and Not Too Young For Cum 3; titles that involved creampies (pop shots that took place inside the women rather than on their faces as most porn goes for) included Internal Discharge, and Fully Loaded #3 with each involving some mighty nasty circus act sex; the twisted antics of The Harder They Cum #4 and even the last edition of Brandon Iron's hit series, Baker's Dozen #5, where a gal partners up with a single guy (including Mandingo in one scene!) before orally pleasuring thirteen more men who soak her entire head and chest area with multiple doses of semen. From one extreme to another, there was something for all you pop shot lovers out there to enjoy so read the reviews to see which might appeal to you most.

Colonel Mustard might've thought Private Chateau 3 was the weakest in the trilogy when it came to plot but he seemed to readily acknowledge that the women in the movie were "sexy", "fabulous", and "super hot" as they engaged in various forms of hardcore sex in this Private release. The technical matters were all handled with Private's usual care in this anamorphic widescreen presentation, making the anal sex look all the crisper as the cast fucked their way through a number of scenarios tied to the main story.

Reviewer Adam Wilson admitted that compilations like Girls Who Like Girls are a bitch to review but at the same time seemed happy with the sheer amount of passionate fuck for the buck in this Simon Wolf release. The pairings came from years of technically attractive scenes between lesbians gracing the company's movies. Some of the gals have since retired from the industry and this might be the last chance you get to see them if you don't own the original titles so take a look at the review and decide for yourself if this cunning array of stunts if for you.

Titles centering on ethnicity were in shorter supply this week with Interracial Hole Stretchers 2 and Young Tight Latinas #9 offered up by reviewer's Don Houston and Rob Randall, two of our leading critics. IHS had some of the leading cuties in porn working with studly Sean Michaels and Tee Reel while YTL had a bevy of sultry Latinas all working up a sweaty storm for your viewing pleasure. Each showed that diversity is the spice of life and believe me, it looked like the gals milked a lot of spice from their respective partners in these two flicks!

Next up was Disco Dirge's look at director Joe Gallant's twisted little feature, Killing Courtney Luv, a movie using New York City as the backdrop for a number of homely women to have some wild sex in. Using Taxi Driver as a virtual reference, Joe seems intent on providing something very offbeat as he details the life of a stalker getting all too close and personal with a young woman surrounded by weirdoes. Centering on sleaze and a return to the grassroots porn of decades gone by, the movie offered up a different experience for those jaded by the bright lights of the standard Chatsworth production; an experience you just may enjoy.

Another feature that was "lacking" according to reviewer Rob Randell, was Between the Sheets; Wicked Pictures showcase title for contract performer Kaylani Lei. Directed by the master of relationships himself, Brad Armstrong, the movie took a look at Kaylani's attempts to find "Mr. Right" as she kissed a whole lot of frogs. Thankfully, the movie seemed more interested in offering up sex scenes than telling the story so don't shy away from this one if you're a fan of the lovely lady.

In a movie that shows turnabout is fair play, Strap Attack 3 had some of the hottest names in porn donning strap on dildos to take charge of their men in a manner that left reviewer Don Houston somewhat uneasy (at best). There was no doubting that the deviant mind of director Joey Silvera was responsible for this one as gal after gal took over, bent their man over, and gave him a bone of his own. In an industry where the term gay for pay is commonplace, notables such as Katja Kassin, Lauren Phoenix, and Jasmine Byrne showed the world just what it would be like if women were able to "put it to the man". If you're looking for a movie well outside the norm, this would be a great selection for you!

Other titles the reviewers found appealing on some level or another were Riding the Curves 2, Disturbed 3, Sex Fiends #3, and North Pole #57; each providing something to like depending on your particular kinks.

Spotlight Performer: Katsumi

She may not exactly be a newcomer to the adult world, but Asian star Katsumi has certainly made an impact on the industry. Her tight little body really hit the big time with the release of Lex Steele XXX 3 for which her and Lex won the 2005 AVN Award for Best Anal Sex Scene. Adult Toy Talk: Royal Dragon

Marathon Sex. Now that's either a concept that will thrill you and your partner to no end, or it might lead to the question: "Should sex be like a marathon?". Before I dive on in to my take on the Royal Dragon Spray, let me state that I am always a little leery of spraying, spreading or applying anything to my penis or taking any form of supplement or erectile enhancement herb, drug, or potion. As if on cue, at the 30 minute mark I started to feel some tingling, a warming sensation and a little sensitivity. Wanting to give it the full shot I waited a full hour and a half. By that point I did experience some slight burning, but nothing really uncomfortable or painful. Eager to give it the ol' bed test, I took the plunge. Immediately I noticed that my erection was sturdier and more consistent than normal and from the get-go I realized that that the 'finish line' was going to be a long way off. The Bed Test for Royal Dragon was truly a marathon sex session. Sex lasted close to two full hours with no breaks or breathers. While it was a delight to be able to go so long, I did find that getting to the finish line and having an orgasm wasn't a slam dunk and the orgasm itself wasn't as mind-blowing as some of the recent ones playing with my partner and The Liberator. So while Royal Dragon definitely does pass the bed test and absolutely works as advertised, I'm still a little bit on the fence about recommending it. The Gonzo Corner: Zero Tolerance Round-Up

In this week's short dedicated to the exciting gonzo genre, we're going to review some recent and past favorites from Zero Tolerance, a studio whose mission statement is to provide quality porn with a zero tolerance for ugly chicks. And most of the time, they deliver some fantastic porn. Here's the skinny on three Zero Tolerance DVDs I really have been enjoying as of late.

Fishnets 2 is a pretty hot release that could have been a little better, but even as it stands, it's hotter than most! The release is a fetish title that puts six babes in six scenes wearing fishnet style clothing. My DVD even came wrapped in a blue fishnet style cover. The scenes open with the girls completely naked. Next to them is a fishnet outfit (maybe tights, a body suit or something else). The babes put on their getups and not too long after the clothes come off as they engage in their sex scenes. What is bad about Fishnets 2 is that it needed a little more focus on the opening teases. Fortunately the action is hot enough to supplement. The cast is made up of Eva Angelina, you remember her, she was featured in a past Blue Room column Kill Girl 3, Eva Angelina and Bondage for Beginners, Sandra Romain, Patricia Petite, Terri Summers, Roxanne Hall and Lanny Barby. All six of these babes are quite sexy and they do not fail to impress.

Taco Shop 2 is an ethnic driven porno with Latin babes getting it on with the likes of Mark Wood, Mick Blue and Tommy Gunn. This turns out to be some pretty darn heated action. The action tends to be clean and straightforward, but it is the good kind of clean and straightforward. The girls include Kathleen Cruz, an adorable and cute young babe, Sativa Rose, a girl who is as sexy as she is beautiful, Jasmine Bryne, a babe with a smile (and a body) that makes my heart melt, and other hotties Paola Rey, Jennifer Luv and Shy Love. Whether you have a preference for Latin babes or not, this ethnic driven porno has enough headed action to keep you warm at night!

Wet Dreams Cum True 4's DVD cover gives me chills, which is a good thing. The girl on the DVD cover is a great looking babe. This DVD happens to be one of those rare releases where the action is just as exciting as the cover implies. Directed by Wendi Knight, six attractive babes get worked in a one on one fashion, with an added vignette feeling. Several of the scenes have themes, with the girls dressed up as a nurse, a solider, a prisoner, and a few others. But most important of all, the girls just look hot. Some important faces on cast include sexy Asian babe and DVD cover girl Jenaveve Jolie, blonde hottie and former Vivid girl Dasha, the brunette beauty Tori Lane, and other girls Makayla Coxxx, Vanessa Lane and Lauren Phoenix. So if you are looking for an exciting DVD with six scenes and six hot babes, look no further. Wet Dreams Cum True 4 works great for just that.

Upcoming Titles

One of the top selling series in porn for years is the subject of our first glimpse into the future with Shane's World 37: Country Girls high on our list of newly released titles. Going to the other extreme after Shane's World 36: Snow Trip took the crew to the snow filled mountains, this down home look at country living, and loving, seems almost a sure bet to milk the loads of Americans all across the country. If this volume is half as much fun as previous releases as it looks to be, you can be sure it'll make some waves here at X Critic.

Another series known for longevity will hit the review pile soon with Barely Legal #53, an effort directed by series founder Clive McLean's wife Erica. She worked on most of the previous volumes with her late husband and should be able to closely match his style as shown in hits like Barely Legal #50 better than any of the fill in directors have been able to do. This was the series that helped make Hustler Video a player in the field so a lot is riding on it to muster up the kind of quality fans demand in the DVD age.

Performers like Belladonna are few and far between so it's no wonder that we're looking forward to seeing A Cum Sucking Whore Named Bella Donna, the latest compilation from Anabolic to feature the incredibly heated antics of this first lady of gonzo porn, especially since her most recent work has been strictly lesbian (albeit wild lesbian) and increasingly rare at that. Come take a look at the scenes that started her ascent to fame, fortune and fucking as described by our staff.

Teen Cum Squad #4 is another title looking to be a winner as reviewer Rob Randall fell head over heels for Teen Cum Squad #2. The gals in the series tend to be barely old enough to be in porn, very cute, and as sexually twisted as you're going to find in gonzo porn according to the man. With proven starlets like Taryn Thomas, Claire Robbins, and Kara Mynor, this is one of the safer bets in town for strokable material.

Sperm Swappers 2 seems to be an easy bet as well with such hotties as Sativa Rose, Penny Flame, Brooke Have, and Harmony Rose leading a plethora of pussy as the gals gang up on poor, unsuspecting men and drain them dry before swapping the resulting loads amongst one another. If the initial volume of this Elegant Angel release is any indication (Sperm Swappers #1), I doubt anyone will be swapping this DVD out for a long time to come.

Overlooked Titles

Reviewer Don Houston thought that the Millionaire Collector Set was well worth watching for the "attractive cast, the high end production values, and the excellent extras that all added a lot of fuck for the buck in this collection of two previously released volumes of a high budget feature done only the way that Private seems able to do on a regular basis. The combination of all the usual elements Private excels at made this story about the search for Nazi gold on par with many made for cable flicks, except it looked and sounded better than many of them. Give it a look and you'll see what Don meant.

Reviewer Michael Vega appreciated that Hate: A Love Story had ladies that were "extremely sexy and looked great getting fucked" (wit a couple of exceptions) and a lot of laughs from studly Evan Stone. Intense scenes, hot fucking and sexy spooning were also used to describe the movie by director Jerome Tanner and it looked like a winner in terms of technical values too.

Reviewer Ian Jane agreed with his fellow reviewers when he pointed out that "Lanny Barby is one of the hottest women working in porno right now" in his review of I Love Lanny. This delicious brunette has a body that simply won't quit, a face that would put most mainstream stars to shame, and a sexual appetite on par with the most passionate pornsters around. Is it any wonder that Vivid signed her to a multiple year contract recently and began offering some of their best work in years starring her? This title had five scenes starring Lanny at her best with a pretty good visual presentation and a nicely done audio track.

Reviewer Goldenmuse offered up a positive look at Wicked Pictures' Lovers Lane this summer, suggesting it as "...a wonderfully refined piece of filmmaking; a film that blends and balances suspense, drama, humor, and some really good cunnilingus shots" and "a well-crafted thriller with a strong storyline, convincing acting, and a plot that almost makes you want to fast-forward the sex scenes to solve the film's central mystery (in other words, to find out 'whodunnit' as opposed to 'who's doin' it')." That it had a talented cast of sexually engaging performers (of both sexes) was just icing on the cake!

Reviewer Don Houston also enjoyed the anal antics of Ass Appeal 2, saying "the movie showcased a series of increasingly heated scenes that involved anal and some of the best gals in the jizz biz as they did it all" and "on par with just about anything you'll find from Red Light District or Evil Angel" (no small compliment if you've seen some of the titles those companies make). With three hours of sex, an all star cast including Tiffany Mynx, Olivia O'Lovely, and Gia Paloma, and some great extras, this one appeared to be a solid hit too!
