Kayden Is Your Director Of The Year!

Vixen Media Group exclusive director Kayden Kross just won her second Fleshbot Award in a row for Director Of The Year at this year's Fleshbot Awards, sponsored by Streamate. Kross also directed the Fleshbot Awards voters pick for Movie Of The Year, Deeper's Drift starring Vixen Media Group contract stars Maitland Ward, Violet Myers, Little Dragon, and Anton Harden, with Mick Blue, Seth Gamble, Danny Mountain, Alex Jones, Jamie Knoxx, and Coach Cardher.

Kross has directed excellent porn throughout the last year for Vixen Media Group's Deeper and Slayed websites, and Kross' erotically charged, intellectually and sensually rich productions are ones that Fleshbot readers have been endorsing through giving her this trophy two years in a row. Shown above in an onscreen appearance in the excellent Mistress Maitland 2 from Deeper, Kross was thrilled and grateful to win again. Hello, Kayden! How are you doing? How are things with you?

"Good! Busy as always. Working on a big, new project right now and excited for the holidays."

A huge congrats on being Fleshbot's Director Of The Year again! How does it feel to be our readers' choice for that award once again?

"It's an amazing honor to be recognized. There are so many moments on set that can be trying, but seeing the final result and the response to the work makes it worth it."

You also directed our readers' choice for Movie Of The Year, Deeper's Drift. It truly is such an excellent movie. What have you enjoyed most about the fan response to this movie?

"Drift is such an unusual project, and completely a testament to Maitland. After working on that one, I wanted to do everything like it, but realized that so much of what made it work was the magical thing that happens between Maitland and myself."

Maitland Ward's memoir was the partial inspiration for Drift. What was working with Maitland Ward to create Drift like?

"I read her book, then read it again, then designed the story to play out in one night the way her story unfolds in the book. We have a lot of references and allusions to stories she talks about there, Hollywood moments, that feeling she had of not being allowed to be her whole self in their machine. She's not a partial inspiration, she is the inspiration."

You were also nominated for Deeper's Goddess And The Seed and it is such a beautiful, beautiful series. What inspired this release and how was Elena Koshka chosen for the role?

"Elena came to me because she was interested in doing a comeback project, and I've always loved shooting her. Her style is so unique and ethereal and natural and she's always evoked this sort of fairytale goddess mystique. I loved the idea of her struggle playing out on a spiritual plane instead alongside the fight we watched unfold in real life. That project began as a single scene and we both loved it so much that I just kept adding to it."

How does winning Fleshbot Awards rank amongst your career experiences?

"Always a positive! Fleshbot has been so supportive of my work through all of the iterations of my career in adult. Thank you for that."

What do you value most about being with Vixen Media Group?

"We have the same values. There's a lot of trust and a genuine mutual excitement over great work throughout the company. The relationship with Vixen Media Group started much earlier than many people realize. The early education I had in directing even before I had success with TRENCHCOATx was the result of opportunities Mike Miller was providing me way back then."

What makes you happiest these days? What always makes you smile?

"I moved last year to a place that had more land, so now I'm gardening three acres that has a seasonal creek running through. I have orchards and goats and my horses and dogs and chickens and I love going outside and just getting lost in the project for hours on end."
