The BDSM and Consent Play Is Over the Top in Kink's Diary Of A Madman
Performer/director JohnPaul The Pope has directed and stars in the brand new season of the very intense Kink BDSM series Diary Of A Madman. It stars The Pope as a mentally unstable dominant working as a contractor who now has his erotic and amorous focus on director Casey Calvert. The character that The Pope plays in this is super brutal and self-delusional to the extreme and such an interesting contrast to the always safe, always consensual and well-balanced BDSM you can see him perform and direct in his Kink scenes. The second episode of the Diary Of A Madman series debuted on Kink today and I highly recommend checking out this truly excellent work.
Hello, sir! How are you doing? How are things?
"I am very well, thank you. I'm staying busy, and living the dream, so I can't complain."
Congrats on the release of the second season of Diary Of A Madman on Kink? How does it feel to have the first two episodes of the new season out there?
"It feels amazing! I was really excited when Kink said they wanted another season, and that it was so well received the first time. The first season that featured Victoria Voxxx, was shot during COVID with a very minimal crew, for safety reasons, of course. When I started writing this season, I got really excited knowing that I was going to be able to do even more with the production and have the crew we needed to get it done properly. I'm always nervous when I do a new project, especially one that is so story-driven, because the first episode is so much character development and not as much action. The fans seem to understand that, but it always concerns me."
What made you decide that it was time for a second season?
"I love the storyline and it gives me a chance to do more than what I do in the dungeon. Also, Casey and I have been talking about doing a heavy CNC (consensual non consent) shoot for a long time, so doing another season meant we could make that happen."
Part of what I personally love about a great dominant is their balanced sense of things. You kinda throw that right the fuck out the window with this character. Why did you do that? What does it mean for you to play this mentally unstable person in your work?
"The character himself is a real life monster, in the way that he is abducts, tortures, and disposes of his victims. The reality that there are people like this in the real world adds a real horror/thriller aspect to it. This character is a lot scarier than I am as a Dom, so I wanted to play with that and see how far I could push that character. I think it shows what happens when consent is left out of the equation and disturbed people slip through the cracks."
How was working with Casey Calvert in this? She is such a fucking fabulous actress.
"I love Casey, and we have great chemistry as humans and actors, so it was a lot of fun. She is a great actor, as well as an incredible bottom/sub/masochist, and she kept me on my toes. We collaborated on a lot of the scenes to make sure they were as authentic as possible, and she made sure to hold me accountable about how severe the torture was. We both agreed that was the one thing that had to be very real. The pain, the suffering, the marks, the fear...all of it had to be genuine, and I think we definitely accomplished that. The season wraps up with one of the most intense things I've ever done on camera, and we made sure that was authentic too!"
This series also encourages viewers to try more roleplay in their own BDSM. What would you recommend for someone who wanted to try roleplay with their own partnered play?
"My advice would be to communicate! Talk about everything that all parties involved want out of the situation and make sure that everyone involved consent to all of the things. This is the key to most things, but especially a consensual and fun sexual experience. Also, safe words...don't forget to establish safe words before the fun starts."
What is coming up on Device Bondage and Hogtied? Do you have anything coming up that you think your viewers are going to enjoy?
"Hopefully all of it. :) I've been trying to get more creative with the bondage and the action that takes place during the scenes. I've branched out and have been working with new models that have never done BDSM scenes before, so that's always fun."
What makes you happiest these days? What always makes you smile?
"My friends and family. I know that may seem like a generic answer, but that's what does it the most. I've recently stated flying drones, which you will see some of it in Diary of a Madman; and that makes me smile too."
What else is coming up for you? What should your fans be on the look out for?
"I've been working a new feature idea that I'm pretty excited about. I love being in front of the camera, but it's also exhausting directing and being in the production as well. This next project will have me behind the camera, and I will be introducing a new monster to the fans. It's still in the early stages, so that's all I can say for now, but I'm really excited about this!!"
Is there anything that you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?
"I love and appreciate all of you, your support, and kind words when you write fan mail. I see all of it and I can't tell you how humbling it is."
