Talking to Audrey is always such a treat. Her incredibly passionate and sincere disposition is something to look forward to. She’s the kind of person you meet, and after only a few minutes, it feels like you’ve known her for years. An old soul if there was ever one.

I’ve been a fan of her work and art for a long time. Not just the XXX kind, because she’s also a fantastic artist, producer, and storyteller.

I asked why she chose to be “Audrey Hollander.” She said she was sitting on the kitchen table thinking about what name to use and realized she’s still never met a girl whose name ends with -ey that isn’t “cutesy and slutty.”

“Britney, Ashley, Riley, Hailey… I still haven’t met ONE that makes me think I chose the wrong name. Hollander is in honor of Xaviera Hollander.” Xaviera Hollander is a Dutch former call girl, madam, and author of The Happy Hooker: My Own Story. Always thinking ahead, Audrey knew that a recognizable name like Hollander would make an older demographic aware and interested in her work.

When she was growing up, her mother took her to beauty pageants and cheerleading lessons, so she“always loved being the center of attention.
