Tiger King is Back for Season 2 on Netflix. Do you know his connection to porn?

Netflix's Tiger King documentary became must-see TV last year. Now Tiger King is back, for a second season. As if the series wasn't wild enough, there is a connection to porn. As it turns out Joe Exotic, the star of "Tiger King" has been friends for almost a decade now with porn star Rachel Starr. She even made a short appearance in the first season of the Netflix series.

He's also posted about her on his Instagram page several times, prior to going to jail. Originally he called her his best friend but in other photos, he said he sees her as his sister.

Knowing Netflix was about to release the second season of Tiger King, we sat down with Rachel Starr for a little chat. She told us that they first met about 9 years ago, through a mutual friend, who had asked Rachel to do a photoshoot with Joe Exotic.

"We hit it off right away and have been close ever since."

Rachel Starr has been busy while her friend has been in jail. Her latest movie "Sunbathing Starr" from Brazzers was released just last week.

Her scene "How does That Make You Feel" with Jessy Jones, has remained was on the most popular scenes on Brazzers for most of the last month.

After becoming friends, Rachel Starr said she's visited him many times over the years. She even talked to him about his relationship with the infamous Carole Baskin, telling him to be careful in his dealings with her.

"No matter what she does, you always need to keep your integrity. How you respond to how she treats you is a direct reflection of your character."

Joe Exotic was sentenced in January 2020 to 22 years in federal prison after being convicted of trying to hire two different men to kill animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

"I wished he would have listened but he didn't. I understand that those kinds of online social media fights get you more views, but I hate that it turned out like it did."

Joe Exotic is now serving his sentence in Fort Worth, conveniently right by where Rachel Starr lives. However due to COVID-19 restrictions, she isn't able to visit him in person, but they still communicate by email.

Despite being behind bars, Joe Exotic is still making money off of his popular Tiger King brand. In June of this year offered a Tiger King NFT collection, including a 3D version of the bikini Rachel Starr wore in the first season of the Tiger King series on Netflix as well as digital artwork of the two.

"Being able to auction off collectibles makes me feel connected with the outside world, especially without my cats by my side," Joe Exotic said. "Whether you love me or hate me for what you think I've done, there's no doubt that everyone wants a piece of The Tiger King!"

We asked her what she thought about the Tiger King series and this is what she had to say ...

"You have to remember that it was made for entertainment and a skewed version of the truth. Producers know you have to have drama to get ratings. I've been there in person. The cages were clean and always given a lot of attention and care. I know what was portrayed on the Netflix series, but I can only tell you what I saw with my own eyes.”

A new five-episode season of the series, “Tiger King 2,” premiered on Netflix yesterday. Although Rachel Star tells us that to her knowledge she won't be in season two. Although she did shoot some footage that they didn't use in season one, so "who knows."
