Andre Kicks Ass Over at Evolved Fights!
Veteran porn/fetish porn star/sex educator/stripper/all around awesome star Andre Shakti wrestles Ruckus in her brand new scene over at Evolved Fights directed, produced and created by Ariel X. Here is what Shakti had to say about that experience and what else was going on in her world. (By the way, I freaking LOVE the action happening over at this site. If you love watching hot people wrestle, this site is SOOOOOOO good.)
Hello, Andre! How are you doing? How are things in your world?
"Hello there! I’ve been in a positive chaotic space lately. Ha ha Although, I’m currently answering these questions in the air en route to five days of blissful vacation in the mountains of Maine. So, I suppose I’m feeling less chaotic now! Otherwise, I’m buying a new car (no small feat during this pandemic) and holding my breath as one of my partners prepares to fly to Afghanistan with the Air Force to help evacuate as many citizens as possible. You know, super casual."
Congrats on your new scene posting over at Evolved Fights! What do you love most about how it came out?
"Thank you! I’ll be honest; it’s one of my favorite scenes I’ve shot to date. My scene partner Ruckus and I have a long history with one another, one that began as a working relationship seven+ years ago and then transitioned into a beautiful intimate friendship. In July of 2018, I moved from the Bay Area to Baltimore, Maryland and hadn’t seen Ruckus. So, every moment spent with him on set was so amazing and precious to me. Plus, we got to wrestle! We’d shot everything from fem dom content to explicitly queer porn before, but we’d never had an opportunity to roughhouse with each other. I’m so thrilled that our fans got to witness that. I prefer to choose my own scene partners in my work, and if possible, I shoot with folks that I’m already intimately connected to. I feel like that authenticity and enthusiasm really translates it on the quality of the content."
What do you enjoy most about wrestling scenes like this?
"I love the playfulness. I’ve always found a lot of joy in expressing and exploring my sexuality. I genuinely feel as though laughter is CRITICAL to a healthy sex life—and fans of mine can always expect to see a combination of competitiveness and levity when I’m on the mat. Sex is supposed to be fun, after all! The power exchange element of wrestling is intoxicating to me as well. No matter which identifies as a bottom or a top or a switch or whatever before that whistle blows, all pretense magically goes out the window, and suddenly, it’s just two people experiencing erotic fight-or-flight with one another. It’s a form of active meditation for me, honestly. There’s no room for ego on the mat."
How is it being directed by Ariel X?
"An honor and a privilege, sincerely. Ariel is a quadruple threat— she’s got beauty, brains, skills, and tenacity. And her sets always feel so warm and welcoming, like you’re having a family reunion of sorts. She’s also very affirming and validating of her performers throughout her shoots and commits to safety that I very much respect and appreciate, especially on a wrestling set. I can’t wait to work with her again!"
What can you share about the awesome project you launched--Sanctuary, the virtual strip club?
"In March 2020, I launched SANCTUARY Virtual Strip Club as a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its disastrous, disproportionate financial impact on sex workers, especially marginalized workers. Although I work in porn and hold court as a professional dominatrix, my true passion is stripping. Can you believe I’ve been swinging around a pole for 14 years?! SANCTUARY is an explicitly LGBTQ+ club where all the dancers identify within the queer community, and most of our dancers are black, brown, fat, and/or transgender. We go live weekly, and admission is always a sliding scale! Audience members can expect a fun, sensual, lewd, and eccentric safe space to connect with and be wildly entertained by incredibly talented strippers. Check us out at SanctuaryTheClub.com on Instagram @sanctuaryvsc."
What kind of sex ed lessons do you find yourself teaching the most these days?
"Honestly, before the pandemic, there was a lot of demand for my more basic, introductory courses on topics such as consent, erotic dance, blowjobs, and kink. However, throughout the past year and a half, I’ve been lucky enough to teach numerous digital workshops and have been instead getting propositioned for many of my more 'extreme' classes, such as erotic asphyxiation play, intersections of non-monogamy and sex work or non-monogamy and socioeconomic class, anal/vaginal fisting, and more!"
The pandemic and everything from the last year have been really challenging for many people. What has that experience taught you?
"It’s taught me to have more faith and trust in myself and my ability to not only pivot and survive but to pivot and thrive. During the past year and a half, I’ve not only avoided getting COVID but also watched 85% of my income get ripped away from me overnight, escaped an abusive domestic violence situation, bought a house, AND saw one of my partners through their extensive (and ongoing) battle with debilitating endometriosis necessitating multiple surgeries. So yeah, the fact that I’m standing solidly on my two feet right now and looking forward to the future isn’t a miracle. I earned this shit."
What makes you happiest these days? What always makes you smile?
"Sex workers kicking ass and taking names, my animals (I’m owned by 20+ mammal, reptile, and insect species), smoking/toking up, new horror/true crime anything (movies, book releases, podcasts, etc.), soaking up the sun, living my best vaccinated-and-DTF life."
What is coming up for you? What should your fans be on the lookout for?
"SANCTUARY is coming back from summer hiatus with a NEW TALENT night on Saturday, September 4th, and I hope to see you there! Check out my OnlyFans ! Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming Evolved Fights shoots, and tell me who you want to see me roll with! If you’re local to the Baltimore/DC/Philly/DE area, hit me up! I’m available for live in-person sessions and pull weekly shifts at my local strip club, Fantasies !"
Is there anything you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?
"Just know that I value and cherish every single one of you. I live a very busy life—I also work as a veterinary technician (in addition to all of my sexier work), which means I often can’t engage with my fans online as regularly as I’d prefer to. Fuck capitalism, and yet I feel so fortunate waking up every day knowing that I have the privilege of falling in love all over again with what I get to do for a living. Stay safe, everyone!
