What kind of girl were you back in high school?  Who did you hang out with/date?

"I was one of few Black students at a mostly white school in Southern Louisiana. I was too Black for most white people and too 'white' for most Black people, so I was just this weird alternative hybrid Black girl. I've always been a free spirit, so people were naturally attracted to my energy. I was a dancer and spent most of my free time in the dance studio after school. I dated a lot of white boys who could not take me home to meet their families or date me publicly, so I ended up just being super slutty on the down low with everyone."

I didn't watch much porn before I entered the industry and didn't know too many performers. I remember watching videos of Mr. Pete and Xander Corvus and having crushes on them. What do you most want to achieve in the industry?

"I want to break stereotypes and barriers. As someone who previously would have never been considered for mainstream porn, I worked hard to get to the place I'm at now and I'm going to keep working hard to push my career further and show people that alternative Black women can make a name for themselves. I want to be on DVDs and feature films that aren't specifically 'ebony', because I want my work to speak so highly for itself that it breaks barriers and limitations of race and the racial structures of the industry."

What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be a better sexual partner?

"Learn your sexual style and preferences and then seek out partners with similar interests. I find I’m a much better sexual partner to someone when we're on similar sexual wavelengths and are open to exploring each other's kinks. But it's an equal exchange; find partners who also want to be better sexual partners to you."

What do you love most about being in porn?

"I love the freedom it provides me. I have the freedom of expression, freedom to make my own schedule and work whenever I want to, and of course, financial freedom. I get to live my life the way I want to."
