Checking In with AVN Female Performer of the Year Emily Willis

AVN Female Performer of the Year Emily Willis stars in Darkko Productions/Evil Angel's Bet Your Ass 8 directed by AVN Hall of Famer Jonni Darkko and she has plans to make a lot of other great movies and scenes in her year with this top honor. Here is what she had to share about the state of things in her world.

Hello, Emily! How are you doing? How are things?
"Hi! I'm doing great, things are so good. I am very happy!"

Congrats on winning the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year! How did it feel winning that?
"Thank you so much ! It feels amazing. It's a huge, huge honor to be recognized for all my work and it's definitely the most rewarding feeling. I'm so very thankful and I'm very excited for this year. I've got some exciting things happening!!!"

You won seven other AVN Awards for your hardcore performances. What about your scenes do you think stood out so much for the AVN Awards voters?
"Yes, I did. I think what stands out the most about my scenes is how much I love sex, LOL. I really give it my all in each and every scene and I think that really stands out to fans and voters. I especially love gonzo hardcore sex so I think that comes off really well on camera!"

You also won an AVN Award for Best Mainstream Venture for your appearance in that G-Eazy video. What do you remember most from making that?
"That was actually filmed during the beginning of quarantine. I filmed my part at home by myself. I was super super stoked to be asked to be a part of this. I love G-Eazy's music myself so it was very cool to see myself in his music video!!"

You won this at a time in this industry and really this world that is just unlike anything we have ever seen in our lifetimes. What does it feel like trying to deliver people fantasies in the middle of a global pandemic?
"It's definitely been a change of lifestyle for everyone, I think. I think that it really brought me closer to my fans and I got a really good feel of my brand and the type of content I want to deliver so it's been good for me, honestly. I think just making the best of the situation is all I've tried to do."

You are following Angela White in having this title with her record setting three-peat as AVN's Female Performer of the Year. How is it following an act like that in this position?
"Well, it's just a huge huge honor. She's an incredible performer and an inspiration, so it's amazing I will be following up this year with another kick ass amazing year. It's also very motivating and inspiring; it's a very rewarding feeling!"

What do you most want to do with this platform that you have been given?
"I would like to launch my own website this year. That is definitely a huge, huge goal of mine and to keep delivering amazing scenes. I like to keep my platform on brand of who I am as a performer and person!"

What life lesson can you share about what 2020 and making porn in it taught you about yourself?
"I think the biggest lesson it taught me is that it's very important to take care of yourself and do the things needed to keep myself happy and healthy and motivated. Especially with this job, it's really important to take really good care of myself because that way, I can be my best self!"

What is coming up for you? What should your fans be on the lookout for?
"Lots and lots of content. I definitely want to try some new things this year that I know my fans have been asking to see, so I definitely want to venture more with my body and performances. I also am looking forward to launching my site so I'm very excited about that!!!"
