"Thank you! Doing alright - hanging in there and staying safe in these crazy times."

Congrats on the release of Club 42: A Choose-Your-Own-Erotic-Fantasy which is now available for pre-order! How does it feel to have it out there in the world?
"It feels incredible. I honestly can’t believe I even did it."

This fictional book was inspired by your time as a house dancer in NYC strip clubs back in the early 2000's. Looking back at that time in your life, what did you love most about that job?

"That period of my life was very transformative. I mean, I felt like I learned more my first three months as a stripper than I ever learned in college. I developed self confidence, I oddly developed some very good people skills, and.... well, I learned how to feel sexy. That time in my life certainly laid the groundwork down for everything Joanna Angel came to be."

What do you love most about the choose your own adventure format? This is your second book that uses that device.

"It’s incredibly challenging but also just a lot of fun. Instead of just having one linear path and storyline, you get to develop multiple storylines and characters. It’s exciting from an author's perspective - because I honestly don't even know where I’m going next as I’m writing. I’m literally choosing adventures as I write the book!"

How like you is the series protagonist Naomi? What do you have most in common with her?

"She’s more like me about 15 years ago. I suppose what we have in common is our ever so charming self deprecating sense of humor."

What made you decide to send the postcards out to people who pre-order your book?

"I just wanted to show my appreciation to anyone who pre-ordered it! And give them something tangible to tie them over until the book is out. Plus, as a Jew, I really really wholeheartedly enjoy posing in front of Christmas trees because it is a real thing I missed out on as a child and it, like, fills a giant void in my life."

Congrats on all of your nominations this awards season! Are there any of those that you are particularly proud of?
"I’m proud of all of them :) And, thank you very much!"

Congrats on winning the XRCO Award for Best Parody director! What do you love most about making parodies?

"Thank you! I like taking my favorite characters that I have seen with clothes on, and getting them naked."
