AVN Hall of Famer Joanna Angel has directed Adult Time's brand new candy colored BDSM channel--Bubblegum Dungeon. The channel has launched with its first scene starring Adria Rae (shown above) and Stirling Cooper and future upcoming episodes will star Jewelz Blu, Madeline Marlowe, London River, Gina Valentina and Gia Derza with AVN Hall of Famers Steve Holmes and Ramon Nomar along with Angel's very cool husband Small Hands. Here's what Angel had to say about this really interesting series.

Hello, Joanna! How are you? How are things going?

"They’re going OK! It’s been an interesting year that’s gone by incredibly fast- with so many different new projects."

Congratulations on the launch of Bubblegum Dungeon on Adult Time! What inspired you to help create this channel?

"Well, as everyone knows, there’s a whole lot of ... darkness on Adult Time. I was chosen to turn the lights on and splash a coat of pink paint on everything. I lightened the mood with some unicorns and ropes and anal."

What do you think of the colorful BDSM play here? What inspired the look of this?

"I was inspired by different anime looks, with a splash of EDC/Burning Man looks. While I know that Grandma Angel is most often known for wearing black, I was briefly part of that whole 'club kid' culture when I was younger - you know... like movie 'Party Monster' which is one of my all time favorite movies so there was a hint of that in the styling as well."

How did you cast this series? What were you looking for in the performers for this?

"I looked for girls who genuinely enjoyed getting tied up with loud and colorful personalities."

This has such a positive, sunny vibe to it. How was it creating this kind of scene without the genre's traditional darkness?

"As you know, I genuinely enjoy lots of darkness- so this in no way is an alternative or any kind of backlash to all the amazing BDSM porn out there- it’s just something different. I think the style of sex and the energy of the scenes is more similar to a gonzo series than a BDSM series- but- I won’t try to put anything in a category. I’ll let the public watch and decide!

There is more of a laid back attitude in this. How do you think that traditional BDSM fans will respond to this?

"I’m really not so sure! I think fans of gonzo porn and fans of the featured models in the scenes will obviously really love this. Umm- I’d say this series highlights bondage more than BDSM per se- the role playing isn’t super hard and defined the way it is in BDSM porn.... so if you get off to a very established master/slave situation this might not be for you. But if you’re into rope bondage/ suspension, and intense sex with lots of orgasms and glitter .... then I’d suggest you check it out. But as I said before, people should just watch it and decide what it is for themselves."

I said this in our last interview but your Adult Time scenes that you have been directing are excellent. What can fans look forward to in your Adult Time directorial work in the coming year?

"Just follow my Instagram and Twitter and you can always find out what’s new!"

What else is coming up for you? What should your fans be on the lookout for?

"Some new exciting projects for Burning Angel are in the works... and well... You can find me being talent all over the internet these days!"

Is there anything that you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?

"Thank you for so many years of support- I’m not done here yet!"
