Ten Great Movies That Won Nothing at the 2019 AVN Awards, Part One

Life Is Good But Life Is Just Not Fair

Not everyone can win everything out there and every year, really great porn movie do not take home any victories at the AVN Awards. It does not mean that they are bad movies or anything. It just means that another movie got more votes than them for whatever reason. I sure as fuck never agree with the victories in every category every year. These movies here are all perfectly excellent movies that are all worthy of your time and bucks that all were nominated for AVN Awards but did not take any trophies home. Check them all out if you missed them.

1) Sweetheart Video/Mile High Media's "The Coven Wives"

AVN Hall of Famer Dana Vespoli directed this really well-made feature that stars AVN MILF Performer of the Year Cherie DeVille as a recently divorced writer who moves to Marin County in search of a new life. Lots of sexy and mysterious stuff happens from there in this movie that also stars Mile High Media all-girl contract stars Alexis Fawx and Brandi Love.

"The Coven Wives" lost Best Action/Thriller to Wicked Pictures' "The Possession Of Mrs Hyde".

2) Jules Jordan Video's "Bare"

This was absolutely one of the top all-girl movies of the year and wow, I wish that it could have taken something home. Well, director Kayden Kross did win Director Of The Year but that's a body of work award that can't really specifically be absolutely 100 percent tied to this specific movie by every voter that very rightly gave her that title. This specific, very wonderful movie featured beautiful women like Elena Koshka, Jenna Sativa and Shyla Jennings in the most minimal amount of makeup just looking gorgeous and enjoying passionate as fuck lesbian sex.

"Bare" lost Best All-Girl Movie to Angela White Productions' "Angela Loves Women 4".

3) Hard X's "Anal Cuties 8"

Veteran hardcore director Mason did a super job casting and shooting this awesome anal, youth-themed movie that is still absolutely worth all of an anal loving fan's time. It featured all solid anal performances from Ariana Marie, now-retired from porn Eliza Jane and Gina Valentina and there are just so many true gonzo moments and hella real anal orgasms in this thing

"Anal Cuties" lost Best Anal Movie to Tushy's "First Anal 6".

4) Pure Taboo's "Future Darkly"

This excellent first entry in the porn sci-fi series was directed by Bree Mills and Craven Moorehead and it features creepy, gorgeously written and hella dark vignette releases that feature excellent performances by Alison Rey, Carolina Sweets and Jill Kassidy. This is such amazing, gripping storytelling and this movie really shows what porn as a medium can be capable of.

"Future Darkly" lost Best Anthology Movie to Vixen's "Icons".

5) Girlsway's "Fantasy Factory: Wasteland"

This really well-made sci-fi, post-apocalyptic all-girl feature directed by Alan E. (AKA Stills By Alan), which may have hurt this movie's chances with AVN voters because of sexual assault allegations against E. The movie itself is excellent with Abigail Mac delivering an incredible performance as a bounty hunter alongside Mile High Media all-girl contract performer Alexis Fawx and AVN Hall of Famer/AVN Female Performer of the Year Angela White.

"Fantasy Factory: Wastelands" lost Best Art Direction to Wicked Comix's "Deadpool XXX: An Axel Braun Parody".

5) Teenfidelity/Kelly Madison Productions' "Chester's Way"

Easily one of the creepiest teen themed porn movies that I have ever seen, director Fumigalli tells the tale of impotent, super crazy psychiatrist Chester who sets up sexual experiments for the sexually charged teens he has abducted. To say this movie pushes boundaries is an understatement and the look of this thing enhances the creep factor of this movie more than a little bit. Bella Rose, Carolina Sweets and Cindy Starfall star in this very memorable but not everyone's cup of chai movie.

"Chester's Way" lost Best Cinematography to Vixen's "After Dark".

6) Burning Angel's "Dirty Grandpa"

AVN Hall of Famer Joanna Angel directed this wacky comedy about starring AVN Hall of Famer Steve Holmes as a new widower who decides to fuck his way out of his grief in this movie. Angel stars in this as a woman trying to steal the late woman's priceless dildo heirlooms and now-retired Anna Bell Peaks and Ivy Lebelle heat up the hijinks a ton.

"Dirty Grandpa" lost Best Comedy to New Sensations Romance's "Love In The Digital Age".

7) Sweetheart Video/Mile High Media's "Adoration"

AVN Hall of Famer Dana Vespoli directed and stars in this lovely all-girl feature about women's relationships and how love can change our lives. It's really a beautiful movie with lots of hot, hot lesbian sex going for it. It also stars AVN MILF Performer of the Year Cherie DeVille, AVN Best New Starlet Ivy Wolfe and Isabella Nice.

"Adoration" lost Best Drama to Vixen's "After Dark".

8) Hard X's "Asian Anal 2"

Brilliant hardcore director Mason directed this killer anal release with AVN Hall of Famer Kaylani Lei doing a very hot headlining butt sex. I fucking love this movie and the action in it is just so, so good.  Check out Brenna Sparks and Rina Ellis in this too.

9) Rocco Siffredi Productions/Evil Angel's "Rocco's Abbondanza 6"

Holy fuck, this big boob movie is just SO fucking awesome. The natural racks in this movie are epic and you get to see porn legend Rocco Siffredi and his Evil Angel director/performer pal Erik Everhard enjoy the boobs and the holes belonging to amazing Brit chicks like the amazing Kelly Stafford, Katy Jayne and Stella Cox.

"Rocco's Abbondanza 6" lost Best Foreign Feature/Anthology Movie to Marc Dorcel's "A 40 Year Old Widow".

10) Burning Angel's "All Access POV 2"

AVN Hall of Famer Joanna Angel directed and stars in this super hot groupie themed POV release that is just filthy and a whole lot of fun. Aaliyah Hadid and Carmen Caliente also star in this fine entry in the series about rock and roller sex at its finest.

"All Access POV 2" lost Best Gonzo Movie to Pornfidelity/Kelly Madison Productions' "A XXX Documentary".
