What kind of girl were you back in high school? Who did you hang out with/date?

"I went to four high schools in three years so I was able to experiment with identity and gender and really dated lots of different types of people. I was continually reinventing myself and living as many lives as I could. It sort of prepared me for all the role play I get to indulge in now."

Were you a porn fan before you got into the industry? Who were your favorite porn stars/favorite porn movies?

"I got into the industry when I turned 18 in 2003, so there wasn’t much of a gap in time before I was the one in front of the camera. My tastes have matured over the years, but I was really into Nautica Thorn, Tiffany Teen, Teen Topanga, and Next Door Nikki--remember those Phil Flash models from the early 2000s?"

What kind of scene have you found is your favorite kind to do so far?

"I have a small “inner circle” of fans on Twitter who have gotten to know me over the years and really get my sense of humor and fetishes, and whom are really sweet to me. Most of them also buy a lot of customs from me because we get along so well and are synced up in our sexual desires."

How did you become a porn performer? What led you down that career path?

"I was going to college, studying biological anthropology to piss off my biological parents who were also Christian fundamentalists. However, after my first dig, I realized that the social politics of academia just weren’t for me. I'd been doing adult work to pay the bills and felt much more respected and happier on set than I did in the field. So, I continued until my scholarships ran out, and then just focused on getting shoots and making content."

What do you most want to achieve in the industry?

"I want to create content that combines American showmanship with Japanese fetishism and storytelling. I know that some American porn does attempt to do that and even brushes up against it, but a lot of it isn’t being made by people who have the necessary resources. Something is always lacking, because we don’t give the material the attention that it deserves. I don’t want to mention anyone specifically, but things like re-shoots, paid rehearsals, acting coaches, and lighting design could help a lot. Speaking of which, I really enjoyed Tucker Bankshot’s article on Oshima’s In the Realm of the Senses.

The new generation of adult actors and producers are more porn auteurs than adult actors, and the content they’re producing is stunning and creative. Look at the artistic lighting in a Simply Blowjobs clip. Look at the level of cosplay and set dressing that Princess Berpl puts into her clips. Fuck, look at the attention to storytelling and acting in my clips. What if we had the budget to bring all these talented auteurs together? The content would be superb!

What is one thing you would teach a woman who wanted to be a better sexual partner?
