Porn Stars Are Asking For Safe, Fair Workign Conditions
NBC Los Angeles has run a large story on allegations made by many porn stars over the years against big porn agency LA Direct Models and its owner Derek Hay, who used to be a performer in the industry under the name Ben English.
Done by journalist Dan Przygoda, the 75-minute expose includes interviews with former LA Direct Models clients Bunny Colby, Adria Rae, Hadley Viscara and Lydia Dupra (formerly known as Melina Mason), as well as Adult Performer Advocacy Committee board member Siouxsie Q and one-time LA Direct agent and recently returned Evil Angel director/performer Lisa Ann.
The documentary tells the viewer about the still-pending complaint filed last July by four "Jane Does" with the California Department of Industrial Relations against LA Direct Models and Hay, the similar complaint filed with the same department at the beginning of the year by Colby (who at the time was calling herself Nadya Nabakova in her porn work)—along with her victory in the case and numerous audio clips from the hearing—plus assorted other appalling claims of extortion, assault and manipulation that Rae, Viscara and Dupra have said happened.
