Checking In with AVN Niche Performer of the Year Nominee Lance Hart

So how are you, Lance? How are things?

"Life is good! Charlotte and I moved into a big house in Vegas and we are loving it. Lots of room for the cats to run around, and also it’s a great place to shoot."

A big congratulations on being up for Niche Performer of the Year! How does it feel to receive this nomination?

"I’m super happy the category exists. I think it’s very cool of AVN to consider the niches and niche performers. There are a ton of great people nominated for it, so I’m just happy to be in the mix with them."

You are also up for Best Transsexual Porn Scene for your work in three different scenes. One is with Casey Kisses in Devil's Films' "TSPC: Transsexual Porn Channel". What do you remember most about being a part of that great scene?

"That was a super fun day. I work for Jim Powers more than any other director lately, and every day with him is great. He always fills the set with great people and we have a blast. That particular day was super cool, because it was a different idea for a porn plot. Jim got excited about it and we all went out of our way to make it special. There’s just not a lot of new porn plots, and I love doing different stuff."

You were also part of the really great nominated threeway in Devil's Film's "Menage A Tranny 2". What do you enjoy most about threeways?

"Threeways are great, because there’s more to fuck. I guess that’s pretty obvious. One thing I love is riding a dick while my dick is inside a pussy. It’s hard to explain just how special that really is."

The other AVN nominated scene you are up for is the gangbang in Evil Angel's "Aubrey Kate: TS Superstar". What do you love most about working with Aubrey Kate?

"Aubrey is a one of a kind star. She really is and when she turns on the slut mode, it’s 100%."

Your scenes are consistently super. What do you think is the most important factor in making a great porn scene?

"Most people say chemistry and I understand why. I would actually say it’s effort that makes the difference between a good scene and a great scene. There are always a few moments when my body is tired, my leg is about to give out, I’m running out of breath, the position we are in is uncomfortable, my neck is strained, etc.. Fatigue can kick in lots of ways when you are having sex for the camera. Every performer has those moments. The scene only becomes stellar when the performers push through those moments. Find an extra gear and power through. I sometimes think to myself, 'holy crap, I hope the director says cut in the next five seconds, my whatever body part can’t take any more', but then I normally find that I actually can take a lot more. If the performers push through, the director and/or cameraperson have more opportunity to find the best shots. Then after that, it’s all up to the editor being good, I guess."

If for some reason you do not win Niche Performer Of The Year, who would you most like to see take the trophy home?

"It’s so hard to pick. Chad Diamond is a bad ass. That dude can literally fuck anything and stay hard and cum when he’s supposed to. I don’t think he gets enough credit. Lexi Sindel is my friend, and I really admire the literal empire she’s built. When I think of successful porners, I typically think of her first. She’s killing the game. Ruckus is also a good friend and has such a wide range of talent. I guess any of those would make me happy."

What are you proudest of when it comes to your work this year?

"This year was especially challenging. About six years ago, I started a porn network called PervOUT and I put everything I had into it. In January of this year, I had to finally let it go. Long story, but not all business plans work out. I guess I’m really proud of what happened immediately after. I didn’t give myself even one day to throw a pity party. I immediately started two membership sites, ManUpFilms.com and SweetFemdom.com. By late February, both became profitable. By March I was bringing in three times the revenue of my best month since I started porn in 2007. I took everything I learned from the old PervOUT and put it into my new venture and it’s working out phenomenally well. I’m so glad I didn’t slack. Running my two new sites has been fulfilling to say the least."

So what else is coming up for you? Congrats on your upcoming wedding to Charlotte Sartre!

"Thanks! She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me. We’re going to Hawaii for our honeymoon then coming back to Vegas to keep killing it in porno."

Is there anything you would like to say to your fans here at Fleshbot?
